The OVERPROTECTIVE Man's
Chapter 73's

Valerie stared at the wall clock that showed at seven in the morning. Today he woke up early, having to tidy things up from his house and arranged them in the apartment where he now lives.

Valerie began to tidy up her belongings while her aunt made breakfast for all of them. Valerie realizes she must immediately buy a new phone and a new laptop. Today he asked Lucy and Lucy for a day off to contact HRD.

Valerie tied her long hair into a Ponytail, as she felt her hair was interfering with her work.

"Miss, breakfast is over." Valerie answered briefly, then got up for breakfast because of her thrashing stomach.

Valerie had breakfast with Grandpa, Grandma and her Aunt. After finishing breakfast, Valerie returned to tidy up her things until noon.

Valerie rubbed the sweat on her face while wasting her heavy breathing. Valerie looked at all her items that had been arranged perfectly. Now he only needs to clean the boxes to the warehouse.

"Miss, Mr. Aiden called" said his aunt, right after Valerie left the room.

"Oh. wait a minute."

"Let me alone Miss." said her aunt as she grabbed the cardboard in Vale's hand and immediately took it away.

Valerie stepped towards the house phone and picked it up. "Hello Aiden."

"Valerie." Vale was speechless hearing the voice of someone who sounded very familiar in his ears.

Vale stared at the phone with a questioning face. Valerie brought the handle back to her ear slowly. This voice, Sean's voice.

"Why are you?"hiss Vale with a dislike tone.

There was no reply from Sean. The man was silent. Valerie breathed a tired breath. "What's wrong?" ask Vale quickly.

"Are you okay?"

Vale shut his mouth as if refusing to answer. Valerie closed her eyes tired. "I'll turn it off if there's nothing important" Vale said coldly.

Vale stood up while waiting for an answer from the man.

"I miss you."

Vale's eyes widened slightly hearing that pitiful tone. Unknowingly Valerie grasped the phone tightly while biting her lips.

Valerie tried to take a breath to calm her soul and body back. "I'm closed!" vale said briefly, then hung up the phone quickly.

Valerie massaged her suddenly dizzy head because of Sean. That guy always made a lot of mind. Vale stepped back into his room and got ready to go to buy a cell phone and some things he needed.

Valerie was sitting on a garden chair fiddling with her new phone. Fortunately, all the numbers stored on his phone are connected to his email, so if he enters his email, the number stored on his old phone will be stored back on his new phone.

Valerie took a business card from inside her wallet and called a number there. Valerie called the company responsible for renovating her home. Valerie ensures the time and cost required for the house.

After she finished talking from the phone, Valerie wasted her tired breath. His expenditure this time, made Valerie's head even more dizzy. I don't know why lately he's always been in trouble.

Valerie's phone suddenly vibrates, showing Jovan's name on her phone screen. Valerie picked up the phone and tried to act as usual.

"Hello Kak, tumben." said Vale with a cheerful tone, although the look of his face is now pale and looks exhausted.

"Valerie, what's going on? Why could? You all right? Grandparents all right?" ask Jovan directly and repeatedly.

Valerie swallowed her saliva nervously.  "Do you know?" ask Vale.

"Hummmmd.. I know." replied Jovan.

Slowly Vale's eyes reddened holding back a cry. Her eyes were glazed over and her lips tightened to keep her voice from being heard by Jovan.

Finally, Aunt Valerie shook and a tear dropped from the corner of her eye.

"Sister, Vale kangen" Vale said in a trembling tone.

Jovan across the street was silent and realized that his sister was fragile. Jovan realizes Valerie kept it all by herself. Jovan knows what Valerie needs right now is just a backrest.

"Sister also misses you." replied Jovan quietly.

Next day.

Valerie stepped into his office with heavy steps. All eyes were on him as soon as he entered. Valerie stepped as usual towards the elevator.

"Vale." Melanie runs to Vale and steps with her best friend.

Valerie turned to Melanie for a moment and smiled slightly. "Jeez Valerie."

Valerie looked at Melanie with a wrinkled face. "You sick?" ask Melanie while touching Vale's forehead.

But Vale hurriedly kept Melanie's hand away from her face. "No, just a lack of sleep because it's sorted out" replied Vale trying to smile.

Melanie shook her head quickly. "Your face is pale, you rest in the health room first" Melanie said.

"No way, I had a meeting this morning" said Vale speeding his way into the elevator that was already open.

Melanie and Vale get into the elevator. Melanie pressed her floor and Valerie's floor. "Hufts... Yaudah, I'll take the drugs to your room." Melanie looked at Vale worriedly.

Vale smiled thinly. "Thank you."

Valerie went into the meeting room with her files. Her eyes met with Sean who was looking at her. Valerie hurriedly turned her face and immediately sat down in her place.

"Meeting begins, please Ms. Vasylchenko."

Valerie stood in front of the meeting table while explaining her project which was plastered on the projector screen. Initially it went well, but the longer he stood, it felt like his body was getting heavier. Until a sudden dizziness strikes him. His eyes blurred and seemed to be spinning. Valerie almost fell backwards, but she hurriedly grasped the edges of the tight table and held her almost unsteady body.

Everyone at the meeting table saw Valerie astonished. Sean was there, knowing something was wrong with Valerie. When Valerie walked into the meeting room, Sean could see Valerie's pale face that she was trying to cover with makeup.

Sean got up from his seat with a worried face. Valerie tightly grasped the edges of the table while closing her eyes. Valerie tried to strengthen herself, then opened her eyes again. Her gaze faded and looked gray, Valerie looked at the silhouette of someone who stepped towards her, until finally her consciousness was snatched away.

"Valerie." Sean just in time held Valerie's body which suddenly fell. Some of the people in the meeting room looked panicked and slightly shouted as Valerie suddenly collapsed.

Sean quickly held onto Valerie's weak body and stepped out of the meeting room just like that.

"Call my personal doctor!" said Sean I he passed Brenda—secretary.

Brenda nodded, then carried out her duties. Sean took a quick step towards her room and led Valerie inside her private room. Sean laid Valerie down slowly, then took off the heels that Vale used.

Sean sat next to Valerie with a panicked face. "Valerie, Valerie." call Sean repeatedly while patting Vale's cheek gently.

No response, Sean clasped Vale's cold hand. Sean rubbed Valerie's palms and channeled the heat on her. Sean pulls the blanket and covers Vale's body up to his neck.

The sound of the door opening, made Sean turn his face towards the door. A doctor appeared to enter his private room. A male doctor.

"Check him!" sean said quickly after the doctor came in.

The doctor nodded in understanding, then began to check on Valerie. It didn't take long, the doctor folded his stethoscope.

"His condition was weak and he was exhausted. He seems to be having a lot of thoughts and has trouble sleeping. You'd better ask him what's going on" the doctor said.

"For now I prescribe vitamins and sleeping pills to help him rest longer." The doctor handed Sean a prescription paper.

Sean let out a long sigh, then nodded briefly while receiving the paper. The doctor looked down, and left.

Sean stepped towards the bed, then sat down next to Vale's body lying down. Sean's hand slowly went down rubbing Valerie's fine hair so gently. Then her head came down and kissed Valerie's old forehead.

"Wait a minute" whispered Sean right in front of Vale's sweetly-shuttered face.

Sean kissed Valerie again on the last-goal forehead, shedding the longing, panic, worry, and fear she had been feeling all along.

Seriate...
