Valerie stared at all corners of the room. He sat on the sofa while linking his hands worriedly. He's alone in this room. Where is Aiden?

Aiden wasn't allowed in when they got here. Of course Aiden had rebelled and hit one of the guards there, but the number was so unbalanced, making Aiden was detained by all the guards there.

Valerie was forcibly pulled into the room by the maid.

Inwardly Vale said, he would report this disrespectful and coercive act after he got out of here.

Vale looked up as the door opened and two men appeared from behind the door. Valerie knows one person, she's Papa Sean. One more thing, the elderly man walked with a stick in his hand.

The two men sat on the sofa right in front of Vale. Vale looked at them with a wary face.

"You're Valerie?" ask the grandfather. Vale nodded slowly, without wanting to open his voice.

"Include me Gregory Romanov, Grandpa Sean" said the old man. Valerie looked round her shocked eyes. It turns out this is Sean's Grandpa and Sean's Dad. But why would they want to meet Vale?

"What did Mr Raveno call me?" ask Valerie politely.

"I'm just straight away. How much nominal do you want?" gregory asked with an unhappy face to Vale.

Vale frowned confusedly. What is it with these two people in front of him.

"You mean?" valerie didn't understand.

"Sway Sean! I'll give you whatever you want." Gregory said.

Valerie fell silent trying to figure out what had happened here. What did this old man in front of him mean? He and Sean had already cut off the relationship between the two.

"Sorry before, I think you misunderstood the situation now. Sean and I have no relationship whatsoever." Valerie looked at the two men in front of her with an understanding look.

"I know, Sean did all this for you. All I can do is tell you to stay away from my granddaughter" Gregory said.

Valerie frowned not understanding. What does this old man mean? Sean did what for himself? Valerie shook her head in confusion as she closed her eyes slowly.

"Sir, Sean left me, he broke off our relationship unilaterally" Vale said, trying to get things straight.

"I know. I know he did it to protect you from me." Gregory said.

"What?" Valerie felt something was sticking out of Gregory's words. What did that mean?

"Given your kindness first, for saving my grandson's life, I humbly let you go, stopping my decision to be rude. Now go as far away from my granddaughter as possible!" gregory said at length.

The sound of the door lying loudly made Vale turn to the source of the voice and find Sean with an angry and worried look.

Valerie looked at Sean's arrival with a shocked face. Sean looked at him, looking at him from top to bottom making sure that Vale was okay.

"You broke our agreement" Sean looked at Gregory with an annoyed face.

"I didn't break it, the proof is I didn't touch it all enough" Gregory said, staring at Sean not to lose.

"Your mistake was to approach him." said Sean staring at Gregory sharply as he clenched his hand tightly.

"Remember this is still your engagement day!" pavlo told Sean. Sean grumbled to hear it.

"Everything will go well if you don't do this. I did your orders well, but you guys did it." Sean said with a slanted smile. Valerie had been sitting quietly trying to figure out the puzzle arrangement in her head.

"What can you do Sean? Remember this is still my territory." Gregory said with an undaunted look on his face. Sean clearly knows where he is. Sean must be able to step properly between the hoops on the road. That's what Sean has to do now.

"Let him go! It's business between us." said Sean staring at Gregory sharply. Gregory seemed to think deeply, until he finally looked at Vale who was still staring at Sean with a face of disbelief.

Vale didn't keep his eyes off Sean at all, until he passed Sean's strapping body, the man still holding on not to look Valerie in the face and looked straight at his Grandfather.

His chest suddenly hurt after passing Sean's body just like that. Valerie looked back at Sean's strapping back until the door swallowed him.

But Vale realized that Sean had briefly seen it from the tail of the man's eyes, before finally the door was closed. Vale realized what was really going on. Sean still cares about him.

Sean did all this for her. To protect.

Valerie stood stiffly in front of the door of the room. Guilt was burning in his heart.

"Vale." Aiden came over with a panicked face, then clasped Vale's shoulders tightly.

"Are you okay?" aiden asked worriedly, while paying attention to all parts of Vale's body. Valerie was still stiff as if frozen in place.

Aiden looked confused, then shook Vale's shoulder. "Vale, what's wrong?" ask Aiden confusedly.

"He did it for me." sizzled Valerie, yet his eyes were still staring at the floor like people were losing their minds.

"She did it on purpose" Vale said again and now stared fixedly at Aiden.

Aiden was speechless and could only stare at Valerie with a questioning face. Vale alternated grasping Aiden's upper arm.

"Sean did it on purpose, she did it for me" Vale said as he shook Aiden's arm.

Aiden's puzzled face changed instantly upon hearing those words. "Sean had no intention of hurting me." added Vale again.

"Enough!" Vale was silent seeing Aiden's jolt at him. Now Aiden looked at him sharply, piercing right in his eyeballs.

"Then what? What if he planned all this? What are you gonna do? She was still Anna's fiancee, she was a noble who indeed had to be outlined with a noble companion as well." Aiden looked at Vale with an angry look. Aiden was upset to hear Vale's words. The girl's words pierced him into his heart.

But without Aiden realizing it, Aiden's speech also pierced right in Valerie's heart. Is it because he doesn't come from the 'Noble' family he doesn't deserve to be side by side with Sean?

Was it because his blood did not come from the sacred blue blood? Vale looked at Aiden with heated eyes. His hands and lips shook with the cry. Aiden instantly realized, what he had said had already hurt this woman in front of him.

Vale looked down embarrassed as his tears finally trickled down. "Am I not that fit to be next to him?" isak Vale with vibrating lips.

Valerie bit her lips deep, then looked at Aiden with a face full of tears. "Is being sincere not enough? I gave my whole heart to her without me noticing. I saw him as a 'Sean', the man who made me fall in love for no reason. I didn't see how much treasure he had, I just saw it as the light of my path." Vale said, crying loudly. Her tears kept coming down for no reason.

"I love her."

Plaque.

Valerie flinched with her face turned to the right, as someone so violently slapped her left cheek.

Vale touched his hot left cheek with pain there, then stared at the perpetrator.

Standing Anna's figure with an angry face staring at Valerie. Vale's cry miraculously stopped, but his cheeks were still wet with tears. Vale looked at Anna fixedly with an unreadable face.
