I rushed to run, leaving Arby's office area. I'll turn off my phone immediately. I entered a room and hid behind a door. I'm sure Aunt Elis and Luke were suspicious when they heard my phone ring. They must have thought someone had heard their conversation.
"It looks like there's nobody, Luke. Maybe it's just from another employee" Elis' aunt said, hacking into Arby's suspicions. "Well, that must be the guy, he's walking around calling."
"Mama should leave soon. Don't ever come here again. I'll go see mom. One more thing, mama don't call my real name" Luke warned his mother.
"All right, mama's leaving soon. Don't forget the immediate transfer of the money you asked for."
"Yes, Ma." said Luke but suddenly I heard a noise. Like Aunt Elis in a forced drag. "That's it, Handoko. Mama has to hide soon" Luke's panicked voice sounded. Luke pushed his mother into the room where I was hiding. I also panic automatically. I ran towards the window and jumped over the window which happened to be low and not wearing a trace. Fortunately I was able to get out in time.
I breathed a sigh of relief after being outside, but someone reprimanding me made me startled.
"What are you doing there, Ren?" dion's greeting surprised me. I hurriedly placed my index finger in front of my lips, telling him to be quiet so that my whereabouts were unknown to Luke or Bi Elis. I approached Dion with a breath of excitement. What I just heard was shocking.
"Why you?" dion looked at me suspiciously.
"Later I will tell you. Right now I just need a glass of water, to calm me down," I said stammered. My throat feels dry, to swallow my own saliva is very difficult.
"Come on, kantin," Dion pulled my arm towards the canteen. Asking a bottle of mineral water to open the lid and shred the papdaku.
It seems pretty obvious that Dion is worried about me. His eyes were unceasingly blinking as he impatiently waited for an explanation from me, what had really happened.
I drank up to half that minenral water. My neck is now wet and can breathe with relief.
"Thank you" I said briefly.
"Now let's tell you what happened until you came out of the window" Dion stared at me.
"It seems like this is not a safe place to tell a story," I replied as the atmosphere in the cafeteria was rather crowded.
"Well, I'll wait when you're ready."
"Yes, let's go, before papa suspects why you're missing,"
"Me, disappeared? I didn't come along with Om. In fact, I don't know if I'm home yet." kernyit Dion was surprised by what I said.
"But papa will be suspicious of me, surely papa thinks I'm in his room. Because my car's in the parking lot."
"You have an appointment with Om, huh?"
"So, too. There's just something I want to tell papa."
"Okay, we're the same." Dion and I got out of the cafeteria, after first paying for mineral water.
Arriving in papa's room, I saw Arby aka Luke was busy talking. It seems like their conversation is serious. I'm trying to get my emotions in the light of who Arby really is. But I tried as quietly as possible, as if nothing had happened. I've seen to what extent Arby's going to act.
"Siang, Pa, By, "I said.
"Eh, you're crisp, from anywhere. Papa saw your car in the parking area. Papa thought you were already in papa's room." exclaimed papa as soon as he saw my appearance with Dion.
I see, Arby's eyes frowned in wonder, it seemed like he suspected something.
"Reny stopped by the cafeteria, Pa, because she's thirsty. And meet with Dion. Aye, right?" I said I'd take Dion's arm. Dion nodded as if he understood what I meant. His eyes were confused, but I ignored him.
"When are you coming home, Mr Tara? Didn't you just come home?"
"Yes, Sir. My business was unexpectedly finished, so just go home."
"Oh, great. I, wait for your report tomorrow,"
"Oh, Reny, Papa, I'm sorry. About the tender that papa talked to you yesterday, you should pull again. Papa just give it to Arby, let your sister hold it," said papa surprised me. Dion looked at me in wonder, too.
"Kok, changed, Pa?" my protests don't like. Bi Elis said to Arby to get rid of me. My two fingers are squeezing into each other. My chest feels tight, I just want to unload Arby's rot and who he really is. But I try to survive. I want to play beautiful, so I can see Arby's next lunge.
I need to be able to gather evidence to show papa. Without proof, it would be hard to believe all my words.
"How, Crispy, you agree? Papa will give me the next tender only," said papa looking at me expectantly.
"Alright, Pa. It looks like Crisp is having a hard time with a few things in that file, too," I said, trying to smile casually. I don't want Papa or Arby to see disappointment in my heart. However, the pair of eyes that had been silent and did not interfere clearly saw the disappointment in my bead.
It was revealed on the way home. Dion comforted me, so that I wouldn't be too disappointed by papa's verdict. Actually, I'm not disappointed in your decision, if I hadn't heard Arby and Aunt Elis' conversation.
Also, if you don't know their evil plans. And who Arby really is.
"Have, don't take it too hard. After all, Arby is your brother as well" Dion said, looking at me busy with my own thoughts.
"I have no problem with that tender. I was just wondering how, papa was that easy, to withdraw his words without confirmation with me first. There's even a bigger problem than just the tender" I said, shedding my disappointment.
"I'm also surprised, it's not like Mr. Handoko I've known all along. He always held his words, for the slightest thing."
"Well, that. I also like papa is not a person who easily withdraws his speech. Does papa have something to do with? Are my suspicions too much?" I looked at Dion.
"What do you mean? Looks like you know something. What do you mean there's a bigger problem than that" Dion looked at me fixedly. He pulled the car over so we could talk.
I stared back at Dion, wondering if Dion was worth telling me what happened this afternoon. I have no one but, Dion, for where I confide. Dion was the only one I trusted to share, before I was frank with Papa and Mama.
"You doubt me, do you?" guess Dion when he saw me silent for a long time.
"No!" my exposition. "I just don't know where to start. This all feels like a dream. I myself am still confused and do not believe."
"Who are you talking about, Cris? Try to relax first," Dion told me to take a slow breath and take it off slowly as well. I followed his directions, it does feel a bit roomy now.
"Well, now you try to tell the story, slowly. What exactly is going on in your heart," Dion looked at me softly, his smile that was enough to hypnotize me to start that story at him.
"This is about Arby, it turns out he's not Arby who has been a papa and mama's son. He's Luke Arby's twin brother, who's been in the care of Elis' aunt." I finally glided back and opened Arby's secret veil.
"What do you mean, I don't understand?" Dion is confused. I told you what I heard from Aunt Elis and Luke's conversation this afternoon. Also about Arby's secret which turns out to be Aunt Elis' real son. Arby has a twin brother, Luke.
"So, Arby is the biological child of Elis' aunt, Handoko's brother?" buyak Dion was shocked to hear my story.
"Yes, bi Elis deliberately threw it on the porch of the house papa and mama at that time. After I was gone, to have my mom and dad adopt her in my place. I suspect, lest bi Elis also be involved in my kidnapping. Papa also never got along with bi Elis all this time. That's why Arby hates bi Elis and prefers to go to Papua, just to avoid bi Elis. I was suspicious when Arby said he wanted to go home and help me manage the company. Something he's been avoiding all along. I don't know if this is all a wicked plan, Aunt Elis," I said.
"I was suspicious, too, but I cleared it. Who knows, Arby has changed. How can they be so similar. So that everyone is fooled," said Dion.
"I can't tell them apart at all. Even my mom and dad have known him for decades. I'm sure your mom and dad would be in shock when they found out about all this,"
"Then how's Arby? Do you know the news" asked Dion.
"I tried to call her earlier, but she wasn't active. Maybe he was busy or something happened to him. I'm really worried about him" I said.
"You don't have to worry. Leave all this to me. I'll have someone investigate Arby and Luke's whereabouts, "Dion tried to comfort and convince me.
"Trank you, yeah. I wouldn't know what happened if you weren't around" I sobbed. I'm so worried.
"Of course, let's just pray a lot, may all be well." *****
