The Lost Sense

The Lost Sense
Chapter 82

"What do you have to do with Mr. Tara?" asked mama to look at me.After Dion came home with Raisa. I was silent for a while, gathering word for word to explain to Mama.

"We're friends, Ma. Back then, during school he was my upperclassman."

"That's not what Mom meant. You have a special relationship, same Tara. From the radiance of his eyes, mama saw that you guys weren't just friends."

"Dion, proposed to Reny, Ma, but Reny hasn't accepted. Crisp still needs time, for that Ma." I said slowly. Mama took a long breath.

"Why? You doubt Tara?"

"No, Ma. I know Dion is good and can snack. Especially Devan and Mitha. It's just that, Reny doesn't want to open his heart too soon after the divorce, Ma." I explained.

"Hem, it's okay. You really have to think carefully, because this concerns your future. Mama can only be supportive, because you know better what is best for your future. Dion's a good boy, he's the son of your father's best friend.

We actually thought of him as a child. Since the death of his wife, he has been more closed to women. He was young and many women were looking for him. I don't know why he rejected all those women. Though it is not easy to care for a baby in the middle of his busy life as a lawyer." explained mom about Dion's life.

I imagine Dion's struggle in nurturing his daughter Raisa, despite being assisted by a nanny. Both of his parents died while he was still struggling in college. That's why the father who financed Dion's college until it was finished, and worked with papa as a legal expert.

As Mama said that the existence of Dion was like his son, it was very clear to see. Even people who did not know Papa and Dion would have thought that they were father and son. Because the distance between them is so thin, only papa calls make them different.

Papa more familiarly greeted Dion as Mr. Tara. I prefer to call it Dion. A name I've known since school.

Dion once told me she would rather introduce herself by her last name alone, Bimantara, by the nickname, Tara. Rather than mentioning his full name.

After the bitter incident that befell their families, it was enough that the people closest to him who mentioned his name, Dion. Not that he wanted to erase that name, but rather wanted to forget that bitter time alone.

Morning greetings bright!

With light steps I walked down the loby towards my room. While crossing the reception desk, the two cute girls smiled as they greeted me.

"Morning, Miss Crunchy," said one of the two.

"By the morning, too" I said. The smile of the two grew even more, I scrunched my forehead. That smile seemed to be a gesture, a seductive smile.

I got to their table.

"The reason outside is very bright, it turns out to be two goddesses who are still kasmaran," my god.

"Ih, our mistress for being single, yes. Mother was again in love," kekeh both. Their smiles and kerling eyes became more seductive.

"Lha, who's the girl, the proof is that your face is as bright as this morning" I continued.

"That, because of the splash from, Mother. The proof is who from now got a bouquet of flowers, right?" said Dewi menowel his partner.

"Bullet? Who wants to be with whom?" many confused.

"Ih, the mother of the Crisp tortoise in the boat, nih," chortled them again.

"Mom got a bouquet of flowers? From whom?" ulaku again.

"So I read it anyway, the sender.... Hem, I forgot, Mom. Mending Mommy rushed to the mother's room, the package was already there." The smile to these two Goddesses was truly mysterious.

"Yes, you've entered first" I said curiously. Their crisp laughter accompanied my steps along the corridor. Arriving at the door of my room, I saw nothing strange. My secretary's Ines desk is still empty, maybe she hasn't entered or she's having business going into another room.

I pushed the door of my room slowly. The smell of roses hit my nose. On the table of the guest chairs lay a bouquet of flowers, large. There were three bouquets, so the scent of the flower was pouring out in the entire room.

My eyes scoured every corner of the room, maybe Dion was hiding in one corner. But I found no one. Because Dion was the only target I thought was sending the bouquet.

Besides my secretary, Ines, only Dion was free to go in and out of my study. Because I didn't find the suspect, the flower delivery man. I read the sender's name label.

"For Reya, from Hans." Instantly my heart went unnoticed. Only a creature on this earth calls me, "Reya".

Hans! He could have sent me this bouquet of flowers. After all these years it disappeared, and there was no news. Today I received a bouquet of flowers in her name.

I don't know where he's been and where he knows about me. Why did it show up at the office, not at home.

The ringtone of my phone rang, when I saw the foreign number on the monitor screen immediately I turned it off.

I was most excited, received a call from a number I did not know especially without a profile photo.

I declined the call, but it soon sounded again. I push again, it rings again. That's very disrespectful.

"Hello! Who is this with?" jutek. I finally received the call too, out of annoyance.

"Halo Reya," there was a baritone voice over there, a hallmark of Hans's voice.

"Sorry, you're on the wrong side" I grumbled, and turned off my phone. I don't know why he called me again. He shouldn't have done this, after what he did to me years ago.

Ah, why did he appear so suddenly? I've forgotten him and don't want to deal with him anymore. The story about us was closed, a few years ago. Nothing will ever get us connected again.

The sound of knocking on the door rang my heart's monologue about Hans. The towering figure of Dion was framed at the door. I felt gasped when her cornea caught something on the table.

"It seems like the arrival is not, exactly," said Dion hesitantly, as he saw me go awry.

"Come in." welcome me as much as possible.

"Who did you get a gift from?" dion asked, taking a bouquet of flowers. Dion read the name of the sender, his forehead frowning.

"This is your name?" i'm nodding. I'm gonna be honest with Dion about who sent the bouquet.

"Not your name, Crispy. This is it, Reya?"

" He'd rather call my name that."

"Owh, so sweet," a teasingly wide smile puffed up on the lips, Dion.

"So sweet what the hell, "I snatched that bouquet of flowers from Dion's hands. "Nes.."Call me to my secretary. Ines immediately appeared at the door.

"What's up, Mom?"

"Please get rid of these flowers" I said.

"Kok got rid of, baby right. Just put it here,"

"Make anything, even make it tight," I said mangkel. Dion laughed when he saw me. While I'm so cocky because he keeps teasing me.

"Bikin just jealous, who the hell he is, dare to send a flower cave girl," he said silly.

"You nanya?" my spoken.

"No! I'm just asking." he chuckled and then rubbed my head. "Should be happy dong, get a flower delivery. It's a fuss."

"Depends who sent it. If from the former, ogah," I said. Dion's laughter just exploded hearing my words.

"From the ex, anyway. The ex's the prettiest, huh?"

"Oh, don't talk about it anymore. Make it."

"Could be heartbroken dong, the ex."

"Udah, don't talk about it anymore. Just like a little kid." I dropped my body sitting nearby, Dion grabbed my body in his arms.

"It could be this bad, it turns out I have a rival too," he said still teasingly. No doubt I pinched his waist. Dion, he's in pain, but I know it's just his fluffy mind.

Deep down in my heart, still wondering about Hans. Not because I still have a heart for him. I just feel weird, why could he appear suddenly in my life again. After all these years of disappearing? *****
