S2. I Don't Know Why

Diana opened her eyes, she was a little surprised to find Jared looking at her sharply.

"Tu_lord."

"How many times have I said call my name, Jared! Once again you call me Sir, I'll shut your mouth" Jared said in a threatening tone.

Diana was still staring at Jared with a dazed look. Giani walked into Diana's treatment room with a smile. Giani could see how much Jared cared about Diana.

"Diana, how are you?"

"I'm fine, Aunty."

Giani approached Diana and touched the girl's forehead. "Doctor Rea says you're dehydrated, your fever's been slightly reduced, but you still have a lot of rest."

"May I rest in my room?"

"Of course you can, you can't think much. Felly's been handled well. Tomorrow the operation will be held at noon. Celine will accompany Felly later."

"Thank you, Aunty. May God repay all the kindness of aunty," said Diana sincerely. Giani nodded and smiled at the girl.

Giani passed by while patting his son's back. Jared just turned his head and smiled faintly. However, before reaching Giani's door, "Don't make Diana sad, Jared or you'll deal with mommy."

"Not going to mom."

After Giani's departure, Jared sat on the edge of the bed. He was still staring at Diana to the point of making the girl misbehaved and embarrassed.

"Don't look at me like that" Diana said.

"Why did you act so annoying to me this morning, did I wrong you?"

"No. You are completely innocent," said Diana lowered her head. He couldn't stand Jared looking at him with such a look.

"Then?" Jared raised next to his eyebrows. He felt astonished, if not guilty, why Diana's attitude changed.

"You speak like that, as if someone forbids you from being near me."

"Not so, I just don't want to get hurt. I'm really scared to be disappointed again."

"You think I'm gonna let you down?" Jared was completely confused by Diana's reasoning which he thought was too far-fetched. "Look, Di. I won't let you down, I can't possibly do something I'll regret myself."

"Why did you do all this to me? You just feel sorry for me, don't you? Why do you want to play with my feelings?"

"Who said I felt sorry for you?"

"You said it yourself, you told aunty that you felt sorry for me. I heard you say that, Jared."

"And you left without hearing the continuation of my conversation with mommy?"

"My life has been very complicated, I ...."

Diana was wide-eyed as Jared pressed her warm lips against her pale lips. For a moment his brain was empty. Diana pushed Jared's chest. However, the man was precisely holding back Diana's nape. Diana closed tightly, her hands clutching Jared's suit.

Jared took off his kiss, He rubbed Diana's lips with his thumb.

"You just have to trust me and I'll try not to let you down."

"Why?"

"I don't know why, but I really have no intention of letting you down. I felt sorry for you at first, but that has turned into caring and I want to protect you. I love you, Di."

Diana was frozen. He doesn't know what to react to. Jared rubbed Diana's lips again, and she cupped Diana's face and buried her lips again. This time Jared's kiss was more intense. However, it is full of softness.
