Chapter 44. Left One Step

Ben feels lucky, he is now at his happy point. He can have Giani completely and he can be together with his two sons.

Today Ben finished his work quickly, after previously he got nutrition from Giani.

"Can I go down after the kids?"

"Of course we can, but we go down together. I'm done with my job."

"Alright, we'd better get down together. I don't know what they're doing. I hope they don't mess up the room."

"Our child would not be so childish as that, dear." Ben again wrapped his hand on Giani's shoulder. The affectionate call from Ben is quite able to make Giani's face heat up.

"Oh God's. You just don't know them yet, Ben. They have a pretty big curiosity."

"Even once they will destroy this place. Just so glad I don't matter."

"Be careful in your words, Ben."

"I'm serious, honey. If it could indeed replace the 7 years that I missed without my presence, I would." Giani stopped his steps right in front of the elevator he tilted his body and looked up at Ben's eyes.

"Stop thinking like you never existed for them. Elena's whereabouts have shown one piece of evidence that you're always watching them."

Ben smiled, he nodded and kissed the top of Giani's head. The two immediately enter the elevator and Ben presses the floor number where Professor Gilbert's room is located.

Giani and Ben came out of the box and rushed to Giani's father's room. On that floor there are also many other professors who have their respective duties. They nodded respectfully to Benjamin.

Some of them stared at the wonder why Ben came down on that floor. What's to look for Professor Gilbert's two grandchildren? And they are now watching Giani. They are no strangers to Giani.

Some of them don't talk much. They only looked at Giani with various prejudices.

"Jarret, Jack are you done?" Ben entered the room without knocking on the door.

"Already, Dad."

"Let's go home, we'll have dinner with daddy's colleague."

Jack approaches his mother and father, while Jarret takes care of everything and shuts down his grandfather's computer.

"My grandfather wasn't a reckless man, Dad." Jarret answered Ben's question with a sniff.

"Jarret, you have to be polite to daddy." Giani rubbed his eldest son's cheek.

"Daddy's question seems to vilify grandfather, Mom."

Ben smiled, he took off his embrace on Giani's shoulder and now he was crouching in front of Jarret.

"I'm sorry, Jarret. Daddy didn't mean anything like that. Daddy just felt like you were really amazing, because you could operate Grandpa's computer."

"Sister, are you tired? You're so sensitive today." Jack looked at Jarret as if giving a code. Jarret took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"I'm sorry, Dad. Maybe I'm tired. I shouldn't be mad at you."

Ben smiled and hugged Jarret. He felt that his two sons were hiding something, but later he would ask his son himself.

"Come, we're home."

Ben stood up and took Giani. Jarret and Jack walk ahead of their mother and father.

"Ramos, you're coming with me."

"Good, Boss."

Ramos locked Professor Gilbert's room. They finally left the Sword of sciences Laboratory.

Along the way Ben grasped Giani's fingers. He rubbed the back of his wife's hand gently.

"What are you thinking?"

"Have you investigated my father's case?"

"I'm still working on it. Because it's not easy."
