The End of the Waiting

The End of the Waiting
Ending the Unstarted

Winata met his daughter who was daydreaming in the room. The woman let out a heavy sigh as her feet stepped closer.

“Fatimah,” call him while touching his shoulder plan.

“I tried to forget it, Umi. Taking her out of my heart and mind,” said Fatimah slowly.

“Do Nak. It might be best because he's not halal for you either. Take care of your heart for your husband. When a soul mate is present for you, do not let you hurt him.”

Fatimah nodded slowly. Since the conversation with the father last time, they never discussed it again.

“God willing, Umi. May I keep my heart for my husband someday.”

“Aamiin.”

After the mother's departure, Fatimah let out a long sigh and removed the clear spot in the corner of her eye. His lips spoke Istighfar many times.

“Yes Allah, O Rabbi, You are the owner of this heart and soul. You know everything that happens in this world. You know everything in the heart of every one of Your servants. Please, Lord, forgive all the mistakes I have done. You who are all heart-turning, please remove all feelings in the heart of the servant for him who is not lawful to me. Give guidance and pleasure to Your servant, O Lord. If it is not destined to mate, then bring close another soul mate that You feel good for me and for my religion.” Fatimah raised her hand and prayed fervently.

The next morning the sky of Kediri City looked cloudy. Raindrops have been falling to earth since dawn. The air appears cool due to the remnants of water that soaks the soil and plants.

Fatimah stepped out of the house and headed for the cottage to teach. Since returning home, he has returned to his teaching routine. Usually until noon and return home after the dzuhur prayer.

“Assalamu’alaikum.” A typical sound from someone who is well known.

“Waalaikum salad, Ustadzah Mutia.” Fatimah immediately looked. His lips were interested in painting a faint smile and drew closer to the middle-aged woman. Kissing the back of his hand is not good. “How are you, Ustadzah? May you have a healthy family always.”

The woman in front of him chuckled softly. “Alhamdulillah we have a good family.”

“Aalhamdulillah's. Who came with Ustadzah? How alone?” Fatimah was a bit confused. Usually the woman always comes along with her chatty daughter.

“Search Hanum? He did not come, again in college,” he replied.

Fatimah nodded. He forgot to let his guests into the house because he was too excited.

“Monggo come in first, Ustadzah. Abah may still be resting in the room. If Umi may still be in the place of the teachers.”

The two women of different ages stepped into the house. Fatimah invited her guests to sit and say goodbye to make a drink.

“Do not bother, Ning.”

After bringing drinks and pastries forward, Fatimah intended to call her father, but was held back by Mutia.

“You talk to you briefly,” he said seriously.

Fatimah nodded and waited anxiously.

“Are you in another male sermon?”

Of course the question made Fatimah surprised, she quickly shook her head

“If not ... actually my arrival here would like to convey the trust. There's someone who wants to ask you to be a wife.”

Fatimah's eyeballs are perfectly rounded. Shocked certainly can not be hidden from the look of his face.

“For whom, Ustadzah?” her tan was a bit trembling from shock.

“My son who is in Cairo. He wants to ask you if you really are not in someone else's sermon. Ihsan, name. Brother Hanum.”

Fatimah seemed to be digging up memories of the man in question. However, there was absolutely no memory of the man named Ihsan. It even seemed that he had never interacted with the man even though he had taught at the Mutia Ustadzah cottage.

Although only three months became a teacher there, but it was not a short time. How could he not know anything? Never met either.

Hanum often told me about his brother in Cairo. But never once did he mention his name.

Fatimah looked pensive. Many times he closed his eyes while sighing softly.

Could this be the guidance God has given him? That there is another soul mate waiting for him.

“How's Ning?”

Fatimah could not decide anything before talking to her parents.

“Kulo says a minute, Ustadzah. Call Abah Umi first. Later you can talk to them.”
