The End of the Waiting

The End of the Waiting
Ask for Restu

“Ma, may I speak to Amara for a moment. There's something I want to say,” said Akram staring at his mother.

“Ya, please. Mom just wait in the car. Don't be long, yes.” Azizah like knowing what her son wanted to say, she gave space for the two to talk and left while carrying some shopping bags towards her car.

Silent for a while until finally Akram said something that made Amara's chest rumble loudly as if he wanted to explode.

“I want to propose to you to your parents, Mara.”

Something I never thought of at all. The sentence made the originally lowered Amara, raising her face. Look at the interlocutor to ensure seriousness.

Amara looked at the man with teary eyes holding back tears. Did that really say when they never even knew each other?

“What makes Mas Akram want to propose myself a new couple of times met? We do not know each other, is Mas Akram sure and will not regret knowing my bad past?”

Akram looked at Amara, his eyes full of love and admiration. His lips curled up to form a smile that was so warm.

“Last time cannot be changed. But you've fixed the future for the better. That's enough,” said Akram sure. “Close your disgrace as best as God closes your shortcomings.”

Amara nodded in agreement. He had heard of it while taking the study.

Every one of my people is forgiven except the one who is outspoken in the service. One who sinned at night and in the morning said that he had committed this sin and that God had covered up his sin. In the evening, Allah has covered his disgrace, but in the morning he has opened his own disgrace which Allah has covered. (CHR. Bukhari, no. 6069 and Muslim, no. 2990.)

“What makes Mas Akram choose to make me a woman of choice?” amara asked with a voice almost quivering as it held something in her chest.

Amara squeezed the end of the clothes she was wearing. He was nervous because he had to admit the same thing. Whether since when, for sure since he was at Yusuf's Ustadz Cottage, he had been feeling the quiver of romance the first time their eyes came together.

His feelings were blissful, his heart was blooming, but there was anxiety that also whipped the corner of his heart.

He was afraid that it would happen again?

Fear of being abandoned because it's so bad.

“If Mas Akram is serious, come to my parents and say his good intentions.” Amara greeted with a smile, looking down to wipe the wet corner of her eyes.

“Really? What if I get rejected?” ask Akram nervously. However, a smile puffed up on his lips.

Her love is reciprocated.

“If Mas Akram feels appropriate, good and does not lack anything, you will not hesitate to come to my parents.” Amara immediately ended the conversation, she said goodbye first because she had to return to the office.

Her smile expanded perfectly as her feet stepped, occasionally she turned her head to look at Akram who was still standing in place.

“Allah, is this the soul mate you have chosen for me?”
