The Birth of the Demon Sword

Chapter 6 - 06. Gurus

"What do you think of him, captain?"

The other man in the window thought for a moment and then said:

"If Micky uses his weapons and his full power, the boy will stand no chance. However, he used his age and appearance to his advantage, using our people as training for some of the things he learned in these years. He is calculative, manipulative, fearless of pain and great determination. The incident with that dragon 10 years ago must have twisted his mind to a level that was not small. To think that a child could be so relentless in his greed for power scares me a little"

Silence enveloped the room as the two men continued to stare at the guards in the courtyard. The group, in the end, gets tired of mocking Micky and agrees to a glass of wine to end the day.

"So, what should we do with him, captain?"

"If the person is left free like this, it's only a matter of time before some major problems will occur. It's pretty clear that he's not going to stop his research for techniques, I just don't know how far he's willing to go."

"So, what should we do, captain?"

Another man repeated. After working together for so many years, they had a tacit understanding of how their conversation was going. Seeing the captain thinking with his eyes closed he silently waited for his order.

The captain opened his eyes and with******* lightly said:

"We trained him."

Meanwhile, Noah returns to his room and discovers that his mother is still closed in his room. Light groans can be heard if you listen carefully.

He chose to take a shower to clean the dust from the day's work, then he ate a lot and went to bed.

Around midnight, a servant came to his room to wake him up with a bowl of water. After telling the maid to leave, she washed her face and placed herself in a cross-legged position on the floor, breathing in a strange yet rhythmic manner. Seeing how smooth the process was, you could see how Noah got used to this process.

His muscles would bulge over time only to return to normal size with a slight increase in volume.

After about an hour, he woke up from his meditation with traces of sweat on his body.

'Ice-Fire spinning technique was simply a way to strengthen the body through the forced absorption of energy during the day and yin energy at midnight, far from the standard of a cultivator. Plus, my body is now saturated with energy, so my limit is the strength of a 14-15 year old boy until my body grows and allows me to absorb more energy.'

Then he got up and took out a short metal sword from under his bed. Flicking his wrist, the sword disappeared and appeared in another position from a different angle. After he did this exercise with both hands for a while, he put his sword back under his bed, then he lay down on it and thought hard.

'The snake-wrist technique is just a trick to surprise your enemies and finish them off in one hit, it's not really worth mentioning the fighting technique. Its use was even limited by the amount of "Breath" I could hold on my wrist. The other form I learned from the guards was part of a set or about weapons I still couldn't use. What am I supposed to do now? The guards are wary of me now and they will not reveal any information. Do I really have to wait 3 years before officially applying for a family guard? It's too slow, especially since I can't make any valuable progress in these years.'

His stream of thoughts continued to run for a while as he began to consider more forbidden ways.

'I might steal some books from the guards, but that would require me to know which techniques are worth the risk, who has it in book form and it will also require me to escape the mansion after that. There is a death sentence for crimes about cultivation and the like.'

Lily's smiling face on him appeared in her mind, a small grip formed in her throat.

'I don't think I can go. More precisely, I don't want to go. Despite my mother's problems, engineering problems still remain. I know this family has techniques but I'm not sure about the situation of the outside world.'

The light hit the window, the sun came up.

'No, the worst case scenario is that I tricked them and was killed in anger. Life is too peaceful, I'm starting to forget my position. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some maids who gave information to the inner circle after showing ability in my early days.'

"Are you done with your excuses, I'm tired of waiting"

Hearing this voice, Noah's body stiffened as he ran across the room towards the exit. Then he crashed into something and fell to the ground, some blood coming down from his nose into his mouth. The object he hit was the body of a talking person moving towards the door before he could.

'I can't escape!'

He was ready to turn around and take the sword from under the bed when the man said in an indifferent voice: 'She:

"Relax, I'm not here to hurt you. Actually, I thought you might like my offer."

After he spoke again, Noah stopped and thought for a while. Then he slowly turned around to look at the man.

He looked like an average man in his forties, 1.70 meters tall, without a beard and rather long blonde hair. He has a funny face and a little smile.

"Who are you?"

ask Noah.

"I'm vice-captain of the outer ring guard, William Challi. I'm here on the orders of the guard captain, we want to recruit and train you before you make a mess."

Noah was a little speechless when he heard those words coming out of William's mouth. After pondering for a moment, he asked:

"What kind of mess can I do, some guards voluntarily gave me some pointers on how I should practice."

He put on the most friendly smile he could muster, after all, he was still only 10 years old.

"Cut the crap, we know that you learned the Snake Wrist technique and that you faked your match with Micky. Plus, do you really want to continue deceiving soldiers for some bad techniques like the Ice-Fire spinning technique? It was just a clone of a cultivation technique"

Noah went from being frightened to knowing that his disguise was so easy to find to being desperate when he heard that the most complete technique he learned was considered a clone.

Looking at the smiling man in front of her, she finally asked the only question that mattered in her mind.

"Will you make me a cultivator capable of fighting dragons?"

William was rather surprised by the honesty of such a question. He looked into Noah's eyes and, sensing his determination, he chose to answer honestly. He sighed a little and, smiling, he said:

"The path of cultivation is a personal one, people with the best techniques may not reach the level of patriarch throughout their lives, while people with just a simple breathing technique might split the sky in two. I'm not going to hide it from you: I can't teach you the best technique that the Balvan family has, but I'll definitely put you on the path of cultivation. To be honest, this is the best bet you will take taking into account your position. So, what are you gonna do?-"

"I accept!"

Before he could finish his speech, William was interrupted by Noah. Looking at him, he could now see the part of honesty he had previously disappeared, replaced by determination and sneaky eyes.

'Sterrible child, I can't lower my vigilance even for a second'

Putting back his smile, William happily said:

"Then from now on, you should call me Master!"
