Chapter 10 - 10. 324

Inside his room, Noah stared fixedly at the piece of paper in his hand. The process seemed difficult, as beads of sweat ran down his forehead and his eyes kept trying to close.

'This is so hard! Keep, keep! Fucking eyes stay open!'

Noah was completely focused on his task and ignored everything around him.

As time went on, his hands began to tremble and his eyes became more red and red.

In the sea of consciousness.

The waves kept surging from the center of the ball where Noah's half-transparent figure stood with his eyes closed. A deep wrinkle appeared on his face.

The wave will hit the boundary of the ball which enlarges its circumference by a few millimeters at any time. As this process continues, sea level will be lower and by that time it has covered less than a quarter of the ball.

Noah suddenly folded the rune-filled sheet and let out a long sigh while lying on the floor with open arms.

'I feel like my head is going to explode! My eyesight seemed confused and even thinking made the pain grow. Scary, this kind of training was terrifying! And I feel really sleepy too."

A few taps sounded from the door of his room.

Noah slightly cursed in his mind, only to feel again the growing pain that made him curse again.

He stood up by first leaning on the floor and then onto the wall and finally opening the door.

Lily's figure appeared on the other side of the exit with a beaming face, carrying two old books and a suitcase.

"Some guards brought this into the building. They say that the vice-captain sent-"

He interrupted himself seeing the state of his son.

He looks very tired. His face was pale and his eyes were half-closed and completely red. He noticed how he used the door as a crutch to keep himself standing.

He hurriedly jumped on it and placed his shoulders under his armpits as a buffer.

He then moved to bed while shouting:

"What happened to you!? Is that William right? Or the guards? I'll talk to the captain now! I'll-"

Before he could finish his venture, Noah sat on the edge of the bed and raised his hand to stop him from shouting more than that. His head hurt a lot, but he forced himself to speak because he felt the need to explain something to his mother.

“Bu, don't worry. It's just a special exercise that will allow me to do magic someday. I was a little overboard because this was the first time I did it but I would feel better after I went to bed. Don't worry, the guards are kind to me, they don't do anything against my will."

Lily stopped talking again and looked at her son. Touching her black hair and looking at those ice blue eyes, she felt warm due to Noah's resemblance to her. He then sat down next to her and hugged her while stroking her head.

'My son is very stubborn. His maturity was only surpassed by his determination'

Seeing the boy in his arms, he observed how his muscles were meticulously defined and the number of calluses in his hands. A hint of pride for a hardworking child invaded him and so he let go of his embrace and placed it in front of him, hands locked on his shoulders.

“Ok I won't do anything but you have to promise to be more careful! I don't want to see you in this miserable state anymore! And don't work too hard, remember rest is also part of the exercise process. .And don't you dare miss your lunch if there are no consequences! Do you understand me, young man?"

Noah felt very warm hearing these words. But the focus is elsewhere.

She counted the new signs of violence on her mother's body, it was a habit she picked up when she saw the first one appear on Lily, at the time she asked for a teacher.

"Well mom, I promise, I'll be careful"

Noah said while forcing a smile.

Lily looked at him for some more time and then stood leaving behind the books and luggage she had carried on the bed.

"I have to go now, I'll ask the servants to bring you a big meal. Always remember that your health is the most important thing. As long as you're alive, you can do anything!"

He then kissed Noah on his forehead and after a last look at him, he walked out of the room.

Noah continued to look in the direction his mother left, a smile disappeared from his face and his red eyes turned cold which he rarely showed to others.

'324 as seen until now, father increases his ratio.'

She would only see Rhys in and out of Lily's room at random, never once had her eyes set on her son.

'It looks like I can only train mental energy at night or my mother might see the side effects, I don't want to make her worry'

As the coldness enveloped him, the pain in his head continued but he completely ignored it.

'I spent about four hours in the sea of consciousness, I might be able to stay longer if I forced myself, I just need to understand the recovery rate with one night of sleep'

He looked out the window and saw that it might still be five or six in the afternoon. Then he turned his attention to the books to his side.

'Twin sword force and the Forging of the Seven Hells, apparently my Master wants me to get used to the treatment even if he hates it so much.'

He first picked up a book describing the sword style and started reading it, ignoring the pain it caused in his head.

'This is indeed a complete martial art and the use of 'Breath' seems to be a little easier than with the snake's wrist technique'

In order to activate the true power of martial arts, one must move the "Breath" according to a certain rhythm and pattern and then he or she must align these manipulations with the correct body movements.

'I can't really train it now because it might be more dangerous than the benefits, but tomorrow morning I will definitely start training it.'

He closed the book and opened his case, a short sword was inside. His quality seemed to surpass the one he had stolen from the practice page.

'What a fine sword, William really takes these things of Master seriously.'

Then he looked at the book containing the Seven Hells Forging method, meanwhile, an abundant meal consisting of rice and chicken meat arrived.

Noah went through the information in the book while eating, a bit of nausea as a strong headache emerged from his stomach but he still forced himself to eat.

'The Mad Doctor joined forces and established at least 12 sects to conduct his experiments on the body's nutrition methods. The cult was responsible for providing children under the age of 13 for him to experiment on them. At the end of the process, the Seven Hells method was created but the death rate was only lowered from 99% to 85% without considering the side effects that the treatment had on the specimen.'

Noah stopped his reading seeing that the night had come and he felt really tired.

'As soon as I go to sleep, tomorrow I will start training with the twin swords and I will probably start with mental energy in the afternoon, I wonder if tomorrow I will see some changes from today's training.'

Thinking that he put the books to the side of his bed and his sword returned to the case and went to sleep.
