Chapter 16 - 16. Advancement
When Noah wakes up, he finds himself in an unknown room lying on the bed.
His mind was foggy and he tried to turn his head to look around better.
Immediately, a wave of pain came from his back and head which resulted in a grunt from the young man.
"You better not move, only two days have passed and your body still needs to recover. Your mind is also tired so you shouldn't think about using the forced time in this bed to practice."
William's voice rang out from the side of the bed, he was holding a book while casually browsing through its pages.
"Did the treatment work?"
Noah asked in a low voice.
"You really don't have anything else on your mind, do you? Yes, everything is going well and as the nutrients from the first cycle take place, you will break through the 1st rank body barrier and be stable in the early stages. "
William closed the book and took a basin of green liquid from a nearby table.
"Drink this, it will serve as food and speed up your recovery process."
He held the basin in Noah's mouth and slowly poured the liquid inside carefully so as not to suffocate him.
A cold sensation attacked Noah as he forced himself to drink the soup, ignoring the pain he felt from swallowing.
When he finished, he felt sleepy again.
"I think I'm going to sleep a little longer, sir."
He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
William shook his head but a smile was always on his face.
'His treatment was actually worse than I thought, but he handled it well. Such determination and mental energy, I feel blessed to have such a disciple.'
William sat down on a chair by the side of the bed and picked up the book he was reading. He would not leave his student side until he fully recovered.
Only three days later Noah was finally able to stand up from his own bed, albeit with little effort.
William was still by her side and could not help feeling awe.
"Just in five days of rest, you can already stand, the advantage of the Seven Hells method is truly incredible. Even your mental energy recovered completely yesterday, I believe that on another day you might almost reach full strength."
Noah tried to sense the changes in his body as he stood up, he clearly felt the power of absorption in his back that was constantly delivering "Breaths" to his body, speeding up his recovery process.
"Truly amazing, Master. I think once my body has fully recovered and "Breath" focuses on nutrition, my strength will increase exponentially!"
William shook his head and realized that it had been his habit ever since he began his studies with Noah.
"For now just focus on your recovery and familiarize yourself with your new strengths, from next week onwards we will argue using" Breath "each session due to its charging will not affect your free time anymore."
Ever since he said that, Noah became excited and wholeheartedly focused on resting.
The next day, Noah returned to his inn and was overwhelmed by his mother's worried questions.
Having managed to hide the dangerous parts and eat more than she had ever eaten in her life, Lily let her be free to return to her room, content with the time she spent with her son.
Noah's life returned to its previous rhythm with the only difference being that his weekly training sessions with his Master became hotter.
They would argue throughout the morning and Noah's use of "Breath" synchronized with the twin sword styles grew in ability in each session, with his Master discussing his rapid increase on the Seven Hells Forging method.
However, his greatest progress was still his mental energy.
'It seems that the experiences one experiences in life can strengthen the stability of the sphere in the ocean of consciousness. The more stable one's mind is, the more it can withstand its exposure to runes.'
Noah realized this after one more night of practicing mental energy.
Two months had passed since that day in the torture chamber, and he felt that his body had reached some kind of limit, yet his seven acupoints continued to absorb "Breath" so he threw away the idea of undergoing a second treatment.
His head ached, like every night after he stared at the runes for hours but the pain could not make him flinch again.
'After surviving the day, I worried my concept of pain changed a little.'
He smiled lightly and then went to sleep.
Early in the morning, when the sun had not yet risen, he suddenly woke up with a bad feeling in his body.
He looked at himself and realized that his pores were emitting a black substance that smelled nauseous.
Not knowing what to do and thinking that it was a side effect of the Seven Hells method, he hurriedly jumped out of the window in his room and ran towards the guard building, which he was in, falling from the first floor only made him a little uncomfortable as he activated the "Breath" on his body to strengthen his lower body.
He ran much faster than he had ever done in his life, but he was too worried to notice it.
When he arrived at the first floor of the building, he hurriedly called out to his Master.
"Master, help! It seems there is a problem with my body."
William was a 41-year-old cultivator. He had been cultivating for over twenty years. People like him will notice when someone runs near his room but will usually ignore him because he likes to sleep.
But today, he was forced to get up listening to the call of help from his disciple.
He hurriedly left his room and looked in the direction of the voice.
Noah was covered from head to toe from a black liquid that had a terrible smell.
From his expression, you could see how worried he was.
William, seeing her in such a state, initially smiled but then became a little angry at himself.
'Damn, I completely forgot to explain it to her. If I told him early, I could go to sleep. Well, how could I have known that it would happen so quickly.'
He yawned and rubbed his still sleepy eyes.
Seeing his Master's relaxed demeanor, Noah was a little calm and patiently waiting for an explanation.
"So what's the problem?"
william said a little upset.
Noah's surprised.
'Is it not clear?'
He thinks.
"Ehm, I woke up at night with shit coming out of my body. Can you explain what happened to me, dear Master?"
William put on a surprised expression and acted as if he had not noticed anything until Noah mentioned it.
"Oh that. Well, your body's up to rank 1."
Seriate...
