Chapter 24 - 24. Anger
The sound of iron fighting against the stone echoed in the passageway.
Noah opened his eyes and was almost frightened by the corpse by his side.
But when the pain from his body arrived, he remembered the situation he was in.
'I basically have no 'Breath' left. The ones absorbed by my acupoints used to heal my wounds, I believe I will not be able to kill even a rank 1 beast, let alone a rank 2 remaining'
He tried to stand pointing with his knees and elbows but he remained in a crouching position for a while.
The sound of the other spiders is getting closer.
'They might be attracted from a rank 3 body. I have to go, let's body MOVE!'
He managed to stand holding the wall, he put back the Kesier rune on his clothes and moved slowly to retrieve the remaining sword.
He limped slowly towards the passageway on the left only to find that the sound was coming from underneath him.
'Dirt! Don't tell me I will die even after killing a rank 3!'
He didn't know what to do, he needed time to rest but he didn't bring food or water because he left his backpack on the fireplace on the surface.
'Wait 'wait! The water! Maybe I can sneak into the lake while the spiders are busy eating their bosses earlier.'
He looked towards the blue light and moved in that direction.
He walked at a slow pace and propped himself up on the rocks on the wall. It took him an hour to reach the basin.
The environment there was completely silent, whether the spiders were still busy eating rank 3 or their low intelligence did not make them realize that now they could use the edge of the lake as they wished.
Since there were no more walls to support him, Noah chose to crawl all the way to the middle of the basement.
'Luckily they have low intelligence, I believe that if it were a rank 3 four-eyed wolf, the rune effect would not be so decisive.'
He reached the lake and took a sip of water to drink.
The water freed his body from fatigue and even filled it with a little "Breath".
'Yes, thanks to Breath! These waters should be filled with "Breaths" I can speed up my recovery!'
The spider began to crawl out of the hole in the basement and move towards him and upon seeing them, Noah only smiled faintly.
'Of course, another danger will come after I find a little hope.'
He threw himself into the lake and floated towards its center.
'Now that I think about it, it's my first time swimming with this body. Well, even rank 3 remains on beaches where the concentration of "Breath" is less than water so it is safe to say that they cannot swim.'
The hypothesis is correct because the spider will only circle the lake without entering it.
A strange scene is unfolding.
A smiling child was floating on the surface of the lake towards its center while about 60 spiders were waiting on the beach.
'This feels too good! My body was being fed at an incredible speed, apart from the wound on my shoulder, the others had mostly stabilized. And the concentration of "Breath" is still increasing.'
When he was in the middle even the wound on his shoulder showed signs of improving.
Noah remained like this for a while waiting for his wound to heal.
'Perhaps if I go to the bottom of the lake, I can speed up the process.'
Once he got the idea, he immediately followed it up.
He kept descending through the water and at a depth of about 10 meters he saw a blue oval stone.
It shines by itself and is beautiful to see.
As Noah got closer to him, the thickness of the "Breath" increased exponentially and when he was in front of him, he could even feel his body getting stronger.
Thanks to his extraordinary Breath, it constantly draws "Breath" with such quality that all of his wounds close and the acupoints again complete the second cycle of the Seven Hells.
After half a day, Noah found himself laughing happily, a sense of completeness filling his body.
'This thing is amazing! Not only did it heal my wounds, it even helped me complete the second cycle! I never felt so strong! I wonder if I can keep it?'
He thought for a while but then shook his head.
'Treasure is only one if I have the power to protect it. If I am weak it is only a disaster. It's better to just give it to the inner circle and grab some presents.'
His acupoints had stopped working since the cycle was over and his wounds had healed, there was no point in being here anymore.
He tied the stone to his clothes and looked at the spider that was still waiting at the beach.
'Okay, let's see what my body can do now!'

Back to the moment the guards escaped, 4 men stared at the entrance of the cave.
Then a fifth figure came out, revealing himself as Balor.
The group was mostly fine, they had only suffered a few minor injuries that needed to be repaired.
When Balor came out, he found 4 other men staring at him with disdain and disgust.
Mason did not even waste time talking, he arrived next to him and punched him hard in the face.
Balor fell to the ground confused.
"Ca-Captain what are you doing?"
Mason could not contain his anger as he kicked the fat man to the ground.
"What am I doing? What you do is the question! We all heard Noah curse you, besides being a disgusting man holding a grudge with a child, do you know what mess you've made on all of us?"
Balor accepted insults but still felt guilty, was Noah not just the illegitimate son of a prostitute?
But Mason did not care about his confusion and continued kicking furiously.
"When I say that the vice-captain guarantees it, it's not entirely true. The boy was the only disciple of William Challi's smiling sword! Do you know what he'll do to us when he arrives?"
Realization appeared in Balor as he trembled in fear.
"B-Then just say rank 3 killed him while we couldn't do anything, like this he wouldn't do anything to us?"
But Mason just shook his head.
"I've contacted him through the special talisman he gave me to explain the situation. I wouldn't risk my life to cover up shit like you. Boys, tie him up!"
Everyone had to work and tie Balor up while they waited for the vice-captain guard's decision to fall on them.
A day and a half later, a figure appeared in the distance.
It drove like a bullet on the ground, and its legs were barely visible from how fast they moved.
It suddenly stopped at the fireplace where the guards were waiting.
It was sunset and the figure was revealed by the last ray of light of the day.
William stood there while taking a breath, his exhaustion from rushing here was only defeated by the fury of one of his men who betrayed his disciple.
"Where is he! Tell me where my students are!"
