Chapter 14 - 14. Falsehood
When he returned to his room, Noah felt tired.
Even if the meeting was brief and only half a morning had passed, the depletion of the "Breath" from his body caused a sense of tiredness to envelop him.
'Thinking that with just the little "Breath" I had, I could make blunt weapon pieces, I wondered just how powerful the twin sword styles were with actual dantian. It was understandable why cultivators were so concerned with dantian; if one could gather a higher quantity and quality of "Breaths" each technique would become exponentially stronger. The difference would be too big.'
Sitting on his bed, he carved out the sensation of the execution of his final attack.
'That sharpness of mind should be my normal state from now on, no! This should be my starting point! I can't just rely on the quantity of my mental energy, I also have to refine it regularly to speed up my thoughts and learning process.'
One of his biggest secrets was that his mental energy was expanding at an astounding pace, in these 6 months since he started training him, he increased the time he could stay in training sessions for half an hour. The effect of this increase was evident because he would learn faster every lesson his Master gave him and his ability in manipulating "Breath" became more precise and refined.
Within the ocean of his consciousness at the center of the sphere, there was a slight disturbance in the space above the sea. It seemed that something was about to appear but it was still unable to consolidate itself.
'During this week, I had to fully focus on Forging the Seven Hells and increase my mental energy. The twin saber exercise will be used as a form of rest when I need to rest. I can't lose any more time.'
Deciding himself on a new schedule for the week, he immediately started working and used all his attention to read and memorize the body's nutrition methods.
At night he trained hard on the Rune Kesier.
In the morning he spent some time in meditation, trying to maintain his sharpness of mind with his Master, then he would practice the forms on the twin sword styles for about 2 hours. The rest of the day was dedicated to memorizing nutrition methods and the night was used to boost his mental energy.
Like this, the days passed until the day before the appointment with William.
As per instructions, Noah did not practice martial arts or practice with the Kesier runes but spent the day reading the thick book of the Seven Hells and focusing his mind on sharpening it.
At lunch, he went to see his mother.
Noah lightly knocked on his mother's door while saying in a stern voice:
"Mom, it's me, there's something I want to talk to you about."
After a while, the door opened and Lily's figure appeared with a bright smile and said:
"It's rare that you look for me, I believe if it wasn't for your need to eat, you would have spent all your time training."
Noah instinctively looked at his body before focusing his eyes again on his face.
"Four more since the last time I saw her."
His father grew increasingly violent as time went on, and Noah sensed that it was related to his success entering the guard.
"It's actually about training. I will be taking special training with my Master tomorrow and he said that it will take about a week to complete. So I won't be back here from tomorrow."
Lily was immediately worried and wanted to ask more about this training but then realized that her son had somewhat changed. His eyes were more focused, his presence more imposing, he looked like a rock standing in a river that was constantly holding back the flow of water.
He knows his son. He knew that he had decided to take part in this training and nothing would make him change his mind, so he restricted himself to touching his cheeks and slightly ruffled his hair.
"Please promise me that you won't do anything reckless or dangerous."
"Don't worry Mom, my Master will be with me all the time and he is so strong that no real danger can affect me."
"I don't care, keep promising me"
Her mother's plea was firm and unwavering.
He lied as his mother kept looking at him. Then she hugged him and adjusted his clothes a little.
"Then you're free to go but remember not to push yourself too hard, a mother's job is to take care of her children when they're little."

Back in his room, Noah was in his sea of consciousness.
He did not practice, he simply focused all his mental energy on the treatment the next day, reviewing the various steps and setting his mind to the task.
When she thought that it was enough, she left her mental environment and lay down on her bed.
'Now I lied to him, I really can't let myself die.'
And then he went to sleep.
The next day he went to a predetermined place where his Master was already waiting for him with a stern face.
He lightly nodded looking at the focus and determination in Noah's eyes.
"Do you have any questions before we move on?"
Noah thought a little and then asked gently:
"Is the place we're headed to really soundproof? No one's gonna hear me, right?"
'Shouldn't he be worried about his life? Was she worried that her mother might hear her?'
"Yes, the place we're going to is the outer ring dungeon. We used to detain and torture prisoners there and no one ever noticed. Even some of our people don't know where the place is so you can be sure."
Noah nodded, removing the last doubt from his mind.
"Then I'm ready."
William nodded and then started moving towards the bottom of the corridor.
"While we go there, I want you to repeat the procedure to me, so I'm sure you won't make a mistake."
Noah began to explain:
“Forging the Seven Hells is a treatment that consists of destroying the seven acupoints on the back of the specimen in order for the body to naturally create an absorption vortex that will collect the Breath of Heaven and Earth on its back. Because the absorption process is chaotic, the specimen must be conscious during this process to direct the "Breath" at the place where the seven acupoints are destroyed and reconstruct them with a mixture of leftovers and "Breath". The specimen must also use its mental energy to unite, the newly created acupoints until they solidify and connect fully to its body. The final step is to persevere through the transformation of a new acupuncture point that will cause the body of the specimen and then wait for its new body to be completely filled with "Breath" to go through this process six more times."
William stopped at the end of the corridor and knocked on the wall in front of him at seemingly random points.
The wall then returns to itself and slides to the right showing a dark and rocky passageway that descends downwards.
"We are almost there, now explain to me the dangers and advantages of this method."
Saying so, he began to walk through the passageway and Noah followed.
Seriate...
