And here they are now, Dinda and Nice. With her husband's permission, Dinda complied with her schoolmate's invitation to meet at Dinda's cafe.
Dinda decides their meeting place, because she does not want to raise questions and prejudices of others, if she meets Bagus elsewhere without being accompanied by her husband who is still busy working in his office.
"So here's your place of business, Din? Three-story shophouse with three types of business. Hmm. a very brilliant idea."
Nice to sit opposite Dinda at the front desk of Dinda's room, where Dinda and Adit usually gather with friends and relatives. His eyes twirled to and fro watching his surroundings, including the stairs leading to the second floor which was clearly visible from where they were.
"I'm just handling this cafe. For the second and third floors, each was also handled by two of my best friends. We run this place together."
Nice nodding his head while listening to Dinda's story of her efforts as well as about her friendship with her two business partners.
After Dinda finished with her short story, they both fell silent. Sitting face to face with a table that is not too big between them, making them able to pay attention to each other's facial features quite clearly.
Good to lean his body against the back of the chair. His breath was stifled for a moment when the look in his eyes met with the gaze of Dinda's eyes that were pointing at him.
"Remember Gus, she's no longer the girl you can still go after. He belongs to someone else!" His heart reminded.
Dinda smiled at Bagus making the man even more difficult to normalize his heartbeat which continues to chase faster. Immediately he turned his face to the side, trying to calm himself by looking at the traffic outside the cafe.
"The smile is still as beautiful as it used to be. The smile that I always miss, even to this second." Good to mutter in heart.
"So......" Say the two together, after almost five minutes without sound to each other.
Dinda laughed at their behavior. He no longer felt as nervous and awkward as their first meeting in the hospital. His feelings have been arranged in such a way in his heart according to their respective portions.
Occasionally there are still small vibrations entering his heart when he saw the existence of Bagus in front of him. But there was no more pounding in his heart, nor a loud bang in his chest. He tried to position himself as an old friend of Good's, not as someone who had once kept his first love for the man.
On the other hand, in contrast to Dinda, Bagus still can not control his feelings on Dinda which is still stored neatly in his heart. All this time he hopes to still be able to express his love for Dinda and get the answers he wants.
But apparently, fate was not on his side. By the time she meets her first love, she already belongs to someone else, even she is carrying the fruits of her love with a man who is none other than her husband.
"You go first, Gus..."
"No. Ye. Ladies first..."
Again Dinda laughed a little at the behavior of Good who still looks nervous facing him. How not to be nervous if Dinda's behavior still looks like when they are in white gray uniforms.
Always look cheerful with laughter that always adorns her beautiful face. Always show his whatever attitude that further adds to his appeal in the eyes of Bagus. Then, and now.
"Mmm.., okay." Dinda paused for a moment and began to take things more seriously.
"After our graduation that time, why did you suddenly disappear and not get contacted? You didn't come to the school farewell..."
It's good not to answer Dinda's questions right away. He took a sip back of his favorite cappucino milkshake, which had been prepared by Dinda since the beginning of his arrival. She felt a little flattered as Dinda still remembered her favorite drink.
Then he folded his hands on the table. Slightly hesitant to answer Dinda's question, she finally told her the truth.
"I'm just avoiding a direct farewell with you, Din. I don't want to remember our last meeting as a grief because we're going to be apart and no longer be together like we were in the days before."
Dinda was stunned to hear Good's reply. Why was Bagus reluctant to part from her and not wanting to say goodbye to her?
"You remember our last meeting? We laughed happily after the graduation procession. Congratulations on our successful completion of three years of education well, accompanied by fond memories of the unforgettable teenage years of school."
"That's how I want to remember our togetherness, Din. There was only cheerful laughter and happiness. I don't want to slip it away with sadness because of the parting words spoken between us."
Dinda smiled listening to Good explanation. He did not expect Good to have any thoughts up to that extent. Was it because she harbored feelings for him? Dinda began to fret, asking inwardly.
"Now, may I ask you a question, Din?" It was good to ask for his turn because he had already answered Dinda's question.
He nodded his head with a worried heart afraid that the Good question was related to his feelings.
"What do you feel when we don't see each other again?"
Dinda took a deep breath and exhaled it bit by bit. Throw's right. And now he was trying to find the right words to give an answer.
Brave to look back at Dinda's face, she found a smile on the lips of the woman who still made her heart feel unsettled.
"I lost you, Gus. And you know, it makes me feel really sad and cry..."
It felt like Good's heart wanted to jump out of place when his ears heard Dinda's unexpected confession.
He stopped his activities under the table and brought his hands back to the table by slipping the fingers of his left and right hands into one another. His body was drawn forward.
"Is that true, Din?"
"How could I not be sad if you just leave without meeting and the last word for me. It was like losing half my spirit, because before every day we always spent together..."
If only time could be rotated, it would be nice to change his decision at that time, so that he and Dinda would not be separated and maybe at this time he was the life companion of Dinda.
"I'm sorry, Din..." Sesal Bagus said through the softness of his voice that was stuck in the throat.
"Sorry for what?" Dinda asked with her heart started pounding again.
The aura around them turned heartily, as if supporting one another to reveal a sense of being delayed in the past.
"I'm sorry that I've been hiding my true feelings all along.."
"About what?"
Aah.., Dinda regretted her own question. He should not have to ask that, because he was confused to say what if Good's answer was in accordance with the guesses in his heart.
"Actually, I've loved you a long time ago, Din. And to be honest, until now the sense of it still exists and never changes..."
Suddenly Dinda's stomach moved quite hard. Her baby candidate inside there seemed to remind her of her existence and gave a love kick that felt painful but happy for her heart.
Both of Dinda's hands came down from the table and switched by itself to hold and wipe her round stomach with full softness. At that instant, her heart felt so longed for her husband and wanted to embrace him immediately.
