Thank You for True Love

Thank You for True Love
37 SINTA AND ADIT

Returning from Elisa's wedding, Adit takes Dinda to her parents' house. Before exiting the building, Indri's mother called Adit and asked them to come to the house.

They finally arrived at Adit's parents' house.

Papa Satrio and mama Indri were waiting for them in the living room. After greeting them and kissing their hands, Adit and Dinda sat in front of their mother's father.

"Is there a problem, Pa?" Ask Adit. They don't usually call to come like this.

"No problem whatsoever. Just earlier, someone was looking for you here." Said papa.

"seeking me? Who?" Adit was astonished. Because if they are close friends, they will definitely contact him directly. Or maybe there is an old friend who does not know about him now..?

"Love." The mother replied.

"Love..??" Suddenly the look on Adit's face turned grim upon hearing the name.

Dinda who saw him immediately held her husband's hand. Although he did not know who Sinta was, but what he knew at this time Adit became not okay.

"Have you told your wife about her?" Papa asked again.

Adit nodded his head and turned towards Dinda.

"Honey, he's a high school friend I told you about. Her name is Sinta."

When telling the story, Adit did not mention the name of his friend.

Dinda nodded slowly. In her mind she began to wonder why the woman was looking for her husband? And isn't he still in the care of a hospital in the aftermath of the tragedy?

"When is he healing, Pa? Does Papa have any other information about him? Also why is he looking for me?" Cecar Adit to his papa.

"Whatever you know, he recovered a few months ago. She now lives with her parents. But her son was taken care of by his sister. Because he hasn't accepted the boy's presence."

Adit breathed a rough sigh. He does not dislike the healing of Sinta. But hearing the news that Sinta was looking for her, it was very surprising.

The events of that fateful day alone still lingered in his heart to this day. To the extent that Dinda his wife also accepted the impact, because his attitude sometimes became chaotic due to his trauma.

Luckily, Dinda understood the situation. After she told me about Sinta on their first night first, her heart became calmer and more open. Slowly he was able to fight his fears, he could touch and treat his wife without any bad thoughts haunting her again.

But now, after her heart calmed down and her trauma disappeared, why did Sinta have to reappear? Why should Sinta also look for him? Why should his happiness at this time be disturbed by the presence of Sinta?

Adit was worried, that fear took his heart back. He was afraid that it would make him treat Dinda badly. Adit does not want his wife to accept his bad attitude and become a victim of the fear he might feel again.

"Darling, don't let that fear take hold of you again. Try to remove all fear from your heart and mind." Dinda tried to calm Adit's heart.

"You need to be able to fight that fear, baby. Don't dodge. Just face and go through everything. I'll always be with you, helping you through this."

The words of Dinda caused Adit to rise from his immortality. He had to dare to face Sinta. Even if the shadow of the bad event reappeared, he had to be strong to fight it, he should be able to get through it..

Late afternoon at Papa Satrio's residence.

Two couples in the house were chatting together with warm tea and fried bananas made by Dinda, when suddenly the doorbell rang.

Mama Indri was about to move from her seat but was detained by Dinda.

"Let Dinda go ahead, Ma."

"What if Sinta comes. Papa said this morning that Adit was coming." Prevent Papa Satrio.

"It's okay, Pa." Answer Dinda calmly. Then he walked towards the front door.

Before opening the door, he peeked slightly through the curtain-covered window glass. He saw a fair-skinned woman with straight hair tied together, waiting at the door. Maybe she was Sinta, thought Dinda..

He opened the door with a friendly smile.

"Has Adit come?" Without further ado the woman immediately asked Adit for Dinda.

"I'm sorry, if I may know, who is it?" Ask Dinda politely.

"I'm Sinta. Please call Adit." The woman who was none other than Sinta was not at all interested in knowing who Dinda was. He just wants to meet Adit.

Dinda remained calm and let out a long sigh.

"I'll call Adit. Please sit down first." He let Sinta into the living room, then immediately went back into the family room.

"Sinta's sister, she's looking for you." Dinda's eyes were straight on her husband.

Adit was starting to look confused. He was still unsure about meeting Sinta. They used to be very close friends and very familiar. But that was before it happened...

Now, for him everything has changed. Seven years have passed since that incident. It will not all be the same as before. Especially now that there is Dinda the wife in his life.

He must keep Dinda's feelings. Although his past with Sinta was only a friend, but the soul shocks that Sinta had experienced might have an effect on their current relationship.

"Darling, out. Meet mbak Sinta. After all, he's not your best friend.." Dinda held her husband's shoulder. She kept smiling as if to tell Adit that she was okay.

"Did he ask you something, baby?" Ask Adit.

Dinda shook her head.

"He didn't ask anything. He's just looking for you."

Adit said nothing more. He stood up without spirit then stepped towards the living room.

Dinda sat back down, but she looked for a place where she could look towards the living room, even if it was a long distance away. She kept watching her husband.

Adit arrived at the living room. He just stood still looking at Sinta who was sitting waiting for him.

When Sinta realized Adit's arrival, she immediately stood up to Adit.

"Adiit..!!" He was about to hug Adit, but immediately Adit retreated his steps to dodge.

"Sorry..." That's all that came out of Adit's mouth. And Sinta stopped. He stood face to face with Adit.

"Adit, what's wrong with you? Don't you miss me?" Ask Sinta.

Adit. He used to be very close to Sinta. Every day they are together like happy teenagers. They often go together, hand in hand, cuddle, but only as a friend. No more, never more.

"Sit. How are you?" Adit precedes sitting while allowing Sinta to sit back.

But unexpectedly, Sinta sat right beside Adit. Both hands spoiledly wrapped around Adit's arms, making Adit surprised and returning to pull Sinta's hand suddenly.

"Adit, why are you Dit? You have been avoiding me. Are you mad at me?" Tanya Sinta urged Adit's explanation.

"Sorry, Sinta. I didn't mean that. But we're not like we used to be." Adit tried to explain carefully and tried not to mention the past events.

"Is it because I'm out of here?" Ask Sinta again.

Adit began to lose his mind to keep his distance from Sinta. Making excuses about their past was certainly impossible.

Even Sinta himself looks like he does not know or remember the events that happened to him first. He was just like someone who came home from traveling for a long time. And he came back without any burden, without any problems.

"Adit, I came all the way from my house here because I miss you. I want us to be together again like we used to." Sinta said slowly.

"I'm married." Adit made a confession that greatly surprised Sinta.
