Kirana slowly enters the room that used to be occupied by Dave when he was still living in the house of the Martadhinata Family. Kirana bit her lower lip hesitantly when she saw Dave who was sitting and had just picked up what she needed to bring home.
"Why are you such a thief in your own house ?" Dave glanced at Kirana who had been back and forth to enter or not.
Kirana's forehead wrinkled at her hearing, she was annoyed with Dave's mouth that always spoke curiously with her. But when he remembered Dave's sweetness while apologizing to him earlier, making Kirana undo the intention to be angry.
"Daddy told you to keep your stuff here, right, so you can stay again at any time." Kirana said while sitting on the edge of the bed, Dave was still busy sorting out some of the items he put into his backpack.
"I just take what I need." Dave answered briefly without looking in his direction.
Kirana's lips pursed, in her view Dave's back whose owner was still busy inserting something while sitting resting on one knee on the floor covered with a thick carpet of dark brown color.
"Here the science of medicine is also advanced." Kirana deliberately sent her sentence. In the lyrics again the back of the man in the black shirt. "Wouldn't you do medicine here first ?" he gave advice. "If it fails to go abroad."
"I can't waste time with anything that's not sure, what else is it for Mom's treatment." Dave said without looking.
"It's not a waste, it's a try." Kirana is not out of thought with the way of thinking people who always make her pounding unbecoming.
Dave did not answer, he ignored Kirana who was sitting at the back of his and chose to finish the job immediately.
But what Kirana did not know, the reason Dave did not want to look at her because at this time he was nervous and did not want if his nervousness was visible to the girl.
The atmosphere of the room that used to be occupied by Dave was so quiet because they did not talk and the walls of the Marthadinata Family House were too thick to hear the sound from outside.
"You're so sorry about your Mommy." Kirana said again.
Dave glanced briefly at Kirana without looking at her face, but that was his only reaction. The rest were silent as before.
Kirana snorted dejectedly at Dave's indifferent and cold attitude towards her. "I thought after that he was sorry his attitude could have changed better, but it turned out to be the same." Kirana spoke in her heart.
He had just risen to his feet, intending to leave the room, as he turned back to look at Dave's back and he saw something popping out from behind Dave's V-neck collar .
"You have a tattoo ??" Kirana immediately grabbed Dave's shoulder, making the man startled and look at him.
Dave shook Kirana's hand on his shoulder and stood up. "Why is it ?" her question remained with her calm expression.
Kirana held her breath while closing her mouth and stared in disbelief. "Where deserves his good face is sanding right with a black tattoo creepy ?" Kirana spoke in her heart.
Dave pulled his sleeves up more so that his back shoulder was covered. His two thick eyebrows slightly furrowed looked at the girl who was now looking at him as if she was an Alien who had come to invade Earth.
"Ke, why do you have to tattoo your own body ?" kirana said the last time Dave would step away with the backpack he was cupping just like that.
"What do you care about ?" this time Dave's tone was as taut as the beginning of their meeting.
"But it hurts, and look at its size..."
"That hurts me, doesn't it ?" cut Dave.
Kirana's face was instantly sour.
"Why do you always sniff at me ?" ask Kirana angry.
Dave's steps stopped.
"When you know we're brothers, you're still tight on me." Kirana said, but Dave still did not turn to her. "And when it turns out that we are not brothers.you also remain sniffy." Kirana's tone was low. He is upset with Dave but can't hate him. Either there is always a strange sensation whenever he is close to the Ketus man, but to just sit together and talk normally with him it feels difficult.
It was as if Dave had indeed built a high wall so that he could not pass through it and could only see from where he was without being able to reach himself.
"..If I had it wrong, I'd apologize, but don't talk like that anymore." Kirana's face flushed looking at her back which always turned her back.
Dave gripped the grip on his backpack tighter, he gulped with difficulty and his face stiffened. There was no way he would let the girl peek at his currently turbulent heart. There was no way he would say if he was being cold just so that the girl would stay away from him.
Everything was perfect, because for Dave there was only his Mother who for years finally there was a spirit to move on.
Although not dismissing if deep in his heart that feels crumpled due to the fact that he must accept, there is a little relief because they are not brothers.
"No." after a while of sculpting, Dave finally said and turned his body towards Kirana.
The brown eyes again seemed to sedate Dave, making him desperately have to keep showing his firmness by not wavering back to look at him. "If something is wrong here, it must be me" he said.
Kirana bit her lower lip. He was confused to say what else because Dave no longer spoke.
"..I heard after graduation you'll marry the Japanese." Dave's words make Kirana now fully staring at him.
Dave tilted his head slightly, waiting for Kirana's reply which seemed to be confused to say.
"..Mom, aren't you, either.." Kirana's voice grew quieter as she lowered her gaze when she remembered Dave and Angela kissing at the Hospital at the time.
"Yes." Yeah." Dave answered firmly. "Perhaps if you look at the nature of Dad, we can be married together." Dave's weirdness of voice made Kirana lift her face.
They look at each other without talking.
Just this time Kirana saw Dave laughing and was shown to her, but Kirana did not feel happy. That laugh was what Kirana wanted to see.
"...I pray that your Mommy will be healthy soon, Dave." At last only that word can come out of Kirana's mouth when she feels that everything is not in line with her expectations. "I hope when you get back, our relationship can be even better." Kirana continued because Dave was still silent.
Those black eyes were still staring at her, making Kirana seem to go inside her, making it around hollow and there was only a Dave.
"What kind of feeling is this ?" Kirana always doesn't understand.
"I also pray that Dad, Mom, Kian and you are always healthy and happy." Dave says.
Kirana looked at the man with his hair partially covering his forehead and his sturdy body standing before her.
"Kirana." Dave smiled, making the girl's heart ache because it was beating so fast.
