The night is getting late but Kirana can never sleep. His eyes stared brightly in the dimness of his dark bedroom. His gaze straightened at the ceiling of his room with a mind drifting. He still can't believe what his mother's father said.
"I can't believe that Daddy was married before..." Kirana said in her heart. "Daddy is so cute with Mom." she frowned. "What kind of woman was Daddy's first wife..?? Does it look like Mom...??" ask again in my heart.
Surprised and curious by the various questions snapped, Kirana finally opened the blanket and rose from her sleep. He turned on a small Pucca-shaped lamp that was above his bedside nightstand, then leaned against the headboard.
"The ring is gone.., know Daddy was married...." Kirana said listlessly. " His son wants to stay together." he puffed his cheeks. "His name is the same as his again..." Kirana groaned while scrambling her long hair that was loosely severed with both her hands irritated. "Today I thought too much, dizzy !" He's pissed.
Meanwhile at the Sanjaya Family Home. Dave is currently making a video call with his Mommy who lives in Paris.
"You're happy Dave...?" the woman with her long white hair said from inside the phone screen.
"I'm definitely happy Mom." Dave smiled sumringah. "Although the conditions are not easy and I am still confused about how to increase the generator amid the many small Mininarkets that are starting to mushroom." Dave's face turned serious. "But I'm glad Grandpa let it go." he returned with a big smile.
The woman on the screen smiled faintly. "Be nice to your Daddy's house" he said. " Don't ask me anything about why Daddy and Mommy used to split, it's just the past." Her mother emphasized. "Now your Daddy is happy with his Family, so is Mom happy with Mom's current state."
Dave's originally happy face, the slow sea looks somber.
"We're still good, and you're still our son despite being separated." The woman said again. "Show your Daddy that you're a good boy, that Mom can educate you to be a smart and polite child."
"....Yes Mom." Dave was silent after a while. Her face was no longer as bright as when she first gave the news that her Grandfather had agreed to her request to stay at her Father's House for some time.
During the day, with a lethargic face due to lack of sleep. Kirana, who was wearing a white undershirt with a subordinate to Army pants, had been sitting with Shopie in the crowded campus cafeteria by her students who were having lunch.
"I can't believe me." Shopie's eyes were round looking at Kirana. "I thought your mother was the only woman for your Daddy." she said. "I see your parents are happy, it's that old but still so friendly. What else is your Daddy, cool and looks so dear to your mother." Shopie glanced towards Kirana. " So don't think your Daddy was married before."
Kirana's face grimly heard it. But even so, he still craves to eat fried rice portion of jumbo plus eggs beef eyes and crackers.
"The effect of you removing your oba inheritance ring is no." Shopie said again while drinking her iced tea through a straw. "Eat it you know things like this."
"Don't touch the ring first why the hell..??" Kirana turned her head towards Shopie, with her forehead wrinkled and cheeks bubbling full of fried rice
"You're told you don't, it's been meticulous mango. But don't want to shrink." Shopie was getting excited to talk. " Karma is called karma !" point at.
Kirana bit her crackers hard at the babble of her best friend. He was lazy to argue, his mind was shocked and chaotic.
"That means missing really...?" back Shopie said. " That expensive ring lo, the diamond stone alone is intact. There was only one more." he saw Kirana who had finished finishing her fried rice. "Opa you must be crying over the ring you lost."
"Not lost !" Kirana's face was upset. " Daddy's men are also searching from the morning."
"Oh yeah..??" Shopie pretended to be shocked. He wanted to laugh at Kirana's funny face when she was angry. But in his custody. "Keep meeting...??" he asks.
Kirana's face was grim. "Not yet." said he lethargic.
"It is." Shopie snapped her finger.
"But I..." Kirana did not continue her sentence as she caught a tall figure that flashed in the middle of the Campus courtyard.
Instantly he grabs his bag and runs towards her.
"Hey Kiranaa..?" call Shopie doesn't understand. However, he stopped chasing his good friend when he saw which way Kirana ran.
Dave was surprised to see Kirana running towards him. His forehead creased deeply when the girl was already right in front of him.
Dave could not understand the girl who this afternoon was so messy with her hair that was spun carelessly and now was panting to set her breath in front of him.
"...You...Did I see my ring yesterday..?" kirana asked after she could breathe regularly.
Dave turned his face away. "I don't see." she answered a lie.
"When didn't you see...??" Kirana's not sure. "The ring is large because it's 2 rings made 1. There was a whole diamond in one of them, and the ring was attached to a white gold necklace." Kirana explained expectantly.
"I don't see." Dave said without looking at him.
Kirana was disappointed.
Dave turned his head towards her, in fact he was a little bit sorry for Kirana. But somehow he was happy to do it.
"That's why you shouldn't be careless !" Dave said, making Kirana make a face staring at him.
The bright sunlight, making both Kirana's bright brown eyes more beautiful to look at him, made Dave's chest rippled again as they looked at each other.
"Why do you always sniff with me ?" Kirana's forehead wrinkled and her two white cheeks without the slightest makeup polish were flushed with annoyance.
He was angry because people kept telling him carelessly.
"That's reality." Dave folded both his hands to his chest. Looking at Kirana's angry face with furrowed lips and furrowed eyebrows looking at her made her amused. A little could be an entertainer of Dave's heartache about his family.
"Try asking yourself, where has anyone hit themselves so many times..??" Dave asked in a mocking tone.
Both of Kirana's cheeks immediately puffed up in annoyance. And before Dave laughed to see her, he immediately left the girl alone in the middle of the spacious Campus courtyard with lips that gave a smile.
"Hopefully Daddy's son Dave isn't as annoying as he is." Kirana said as she looked at Dave's back upset.
But hope seems to be hope.
The eyes of Dave and Kirana are equally rounded, as they meet in the living room of the spacious Martadinata Family House and are decorated with carved wood typical of the favorite Jepara City of the late Opa Kirana first.
"You're finally coming Dave."
At his look Daddy was hugging Dave who was still standing looking at him.
"Mom's glad you finally got to stay with us."
His mother hugged and kissed Dave's cheeks with great affection.
"Yeeeyy..! Brother Dave lives with us !"
Even his Little Brother cheered with excitement at the arrival of the Man.
Kirana was still in place, clutching her chest that was like a crumbling block of rock.
Dave gulped deeply with a stiff face looking at Kirana who was standing not far from him.
"Ah..Dave...why don't you realize, don't those eyes belong to your Daddy...??" Dave's instincts say.
