"I'm just worried about Angela." Kirana said softly as they both sat in Dave's car in the hospital parking lot.
Dave sighed. "You shouldn't have come here" he said.
"Sorry.." Kirana.
Dave took a breath. For a while the two of them did not speak and only pondered with an overbearing mind.
The atmosphere of the hospital parking lot is crowded by cars lined up and several times passed by people who want to seek treatment or visit the sick. Kirana bit her lower lip with a sad look.
"Dave." called him without looking at his interlocutor.
Dave looked towards Kirana.
"I'm sorry." he lowered his head. Played his fingers on his lap. "If I didn't tell you how I felt, everything would still be fine" he said.
"..Don't blame yourself. We all didn't expect Angela to be that reckless." Dave said after a moment of silence.
They returned soundless.
...***...
"Can't we do something ?" one night Marisa asked her husband who was lying in bed. "Kirana looks depressed" he said sadly.
"What I'm trying to say has been said by Eva."Andreas says. He saw his wife's face. "I couldn't do more, because they didn't do anything bad to Kirana or Dave. They just canceled the cooperation between Sanjaya and Adam. It has nothing to do with us. It would be unethical if we interfered even further once I'm Dave's father legally."
"But Kirana.." Marisa's eyes glazed over.
"Kirana's an adult." Andrew hugged his wife. "While it's hard he has chosen, we as parents can only support what he decides." Andreas was silent for a moment while smelling Marisa's hair which was just below her chin. "I didn't expect Kirana and Dave to have any special feelings and dare to oppose all." Andreas swallowed.
Marisa raised her face and looked at her husband. "Do we have the karma of our relationship ?" he said sad
Andreas smiled faintly. "There's no karma in this world, there's just coincidence." he stroked his wife's long hair. " If anyone deserves karma, it must be me" he smiled bitterly. "My youth is up for work and.."
"Shhhh.." Marisa placed her index finger on Andreas' lips. "You forgot ? We promised never to talk about it again, did we ?" tanyakanya.
Andrew grabbed his wife's hand and smiled.
As the night wore on, Kirana sat by the window of her room which she had left open while looking at the beautiful night sky with its full moon shining golden.
Likewise with Dave who sat leaning on the guardrail veranda room while looking up at the same full moon.
"Can we be happy above the suffering of others, Dave ?"
Kirana's question this afternoon came to mind.
She strengthened Kirana by clasping her fingers. "Here you are, do you want to give up ?"
Dave's words flashed through Kirana's mind, making the girl even more restless and unable to sleep. He got up from his seat, took a tivi remote and lit up. Intended to seek entertainment rather than pensive thinking about things that make his brain spin.
His mouth opened slightly when he accidentally saw the drama starring Jonathan who aired on cable television.
Kirana usually refuses to watch movies starring Jonathan. I don't know, Kirana always felt that Jonthan's figure behind the television screen looked different from her everyday life that she knew. On the television screen Jonathan looks more cool, mysterious and his appearance will be doubled than usual. And that makes Kirana reluctant to admit that Jonathan is indeed a talented actor.
On Sunday, exactly one month since Angela intended to end her life. At the home of the Marthdinata Family, Dave and his mother and Kirana were gathered together with their parents.
Don't ask Kiandra where. Because he was playing with his nanny in the backyard. Intentionally, so that the intelligent child does not confuse both parents with questions that will make people more anxious.
"Regardless of the problems, we bless your relationship." Andreas said and greeted the relieved smiles of Kirana and Dave sitting side by side.
"Thank you Dad, Mom." Dave said as he clasped Kirana's hand sitting beside him.
"Hopefully with this ordeal, it can be your lesson later in the household, so as not to be easily emotional in addressing anything." Marisa looked at Dave and Kirana. "Household is the beginning, not the end, you must remember that." she said.
"I'll always remember, Mom." said Dave.
"I'll remember, Mom." Kirana's chiming in.
After the inner upheaval that stifles and makes the eyes unable to be closed. Finally Dave and Kirana decided to keep moving forward in the struggle for their relationship.
The main thing is the blessing of parents, and they have got it. About Angela, how Dave apologizes remains unable to convince Angela and her parents to forgive. Angela stays stubbornly unwilling to eat, and Dave can't keep Kirana waiting forever.
Dilemmas. But Dave's heart can't lie. Kirana was the one she loved, and she could not bear to see Kirana grieving anymore.
"We have to get everything ready, right ?" Eva smiled at the two. "I'm sure you'll be pretty with a kebaya or a white dress" she continued.
Kirana blushed. "Thank you, Mom. But I wanted to wear my mother's kebaya first." she looked at Marisa who was staring at her heart. "And we also decided not to host any parties." Kirana looked down at Dave's hand that was clutching her fingers tightly.
"What ?" Andreas who originally sat leaning directly stood straight. "You're the only daughter in the Martahdinata Family, and you said you didn't want a party ?" Andreas disagrees.
Marisa and Eva looked at each other.
"It's still like this Dad, I just don't want to cause any more trouble for the family." Dave said slowly.
Andreas grunting. "What care am I with that ? I just want my daughter to get what Young Miss in the Martahdinata Family should get." she said.
"Maybe Dad forgot, if Kirana's future husband, also Dad's son. And in the eyes of others it would definitely be very taboo." Dave looked at his father sitting across the table.
Andreas's eyes were rounded. Dave's right. So many problems arise, until he forgets the most important thing of all is to change all of Dave's documents and that means.. Andreas turned to Eva.
They looked at each other without speaking, for both Andreas and Eva knew what to say.
"Yes, the important thing is that you are married and happy." Marisa was the first to make a sound when again silence surrounded the space. "From the party, wouldn't we better take care of Dave's birth certificate, would you, right ?" she turned to her husband, then to Eva who was sitting on the other chair.
"You're right, Marisa." Eva tried to smile . Although in fact he is just as scared as the others.
"After marriage, we also decided to live in a place where people did not recognize us as the Sanjaya Family or Marthadinata."
This time Dave's words really surprised everyone.
"We want to live in a place where people only know us as a married couple" Kirana continued
Just now their parents were about to open their mouths to speak, when a Servant came in a hurry.
"Sorry to disturb." The waiter was agitated. "In the living room there was Mr. Adriansyah Adam, coming to see the great Lord" he said, surprising everyone there.
