Section 49

The next day, Kenneth was transferred to the hospital room. Kenneth suffered injuries to his head, shoulders, hands, as well as multiple injuries to his legs. Nothing serious but Kenneth was still unconscious.

Agnes came and took care of Kenneth who was lying weakly. Agnes wants to be by Kenneth's side, accompanying Kenneth.

Edward felt moved, it turned out that Agnes was secretly putting deep feelings for Kenneth. Although Agnes said if the treatment is a form of kasian taste, but Edward can interpret if Agnes' attention is not because of mere kasian, but rather affection.

Agnes stood beside Kenneth. Agnes held Kenneth's hand.

"Hurry to heal Ken, don't lie weak like this." Agnes.

Agnes gently stroked Kenneth's face, kissing Kenneth's forehead. Agnes felt her stomach in a kick.

Agnes groped her stomach, "what's the matter dear? What do you want?" Ask Agnes.

Agnes placed Kenneth's hand on her stomach, the kick subsided and the baby finally calmed down.

Agnes smiled, "Ken.. Can you feel it? This is your son, I'm sorry I had to hide it." Agnes crying.

Klekk..

The door opened, Othniel and Edward entered the room. Agnes quickly wiped her tears and tidied Kenneth's blanket.

"Agnes, let's go home. Tomorrow you can come again." Take Othniel.

Agnes nodded, "okay.." Agnes looked at Esward, "please take care of Ken, Ed. Remember don't tell me if I come see him. Okay?" Agnes smiled at Edward.

"Okay, thanks for seeing and caring for Kenneth." Edward said back to Agnes' smile.

Agnes and Othniel left the room. Edward escorted Othniel and Agnes out of the room. Edward went back in and closed the door.

Edrward sat down on the chair and looked at Kenneth. "Wake up Ken, I need to ask you something. If you don't wake up, I'll marry your ex-wife later." Edward teases Kenneth, only to encourage Kenneth.

So far Edward realized that actually Kenneth and Agnes love each other and do not want to lose. The attitude of Kenneth and Agnes.

Othniel and Agnes arrived home.

"Ottnie?" Sapa Agnes's.

"Yes." replied Othniel looking at Agnes.

"May I take care of Kenneth for a few days until Kenneth comes to his senses? I promise to be careful and take care of myself." Agnes persuades Othniel.

"Well, you better get some rest now. I'll take a shower and check my work. If you need anything, just call aunt Yoshima." Said Othniel who passed away leaving Agnes.

Agnes smiled, entering her room. Agnes thought back to Kenneth, Agnes worried about Kenneth's condition.

Agnes pulled out her phone and contacted Edward. His call was answered by Edward.

(Conversations on the phone)

"Hallo, Edward?" Ask Agnes.

"Yes, have you arrived?" Edward asked.

"Hmm, just got here. I want to thank you and apologize to you, sorry for bothering you, and thank you for helping Kenneth. You also have to take care of yourself Ed, don't get sick. Okay?" Agnes.

"Okay, thanks for your attention. You too, take care of my niece-to-be.don't think too much, if you miss it then come to see it." Edward again teases Agnes.

"Yes, I will come again tomorrow, tomorrow and tomorrow. I'll come before Kenneth wakes up, what can I do?" Ask Agnes.

"Come, you don't want to see him open his eyes? Talk to her? You love her, why is it so hard to acknowledge and express your feelings, Agnes?" Edward was anxious, speaking frankly.

Agnes widened her eyes, "I'm sorry Edward, I seem to be tired. I want to sleep, see you tomorrow." Agnes disconnected her call.

Agnes was surprised, not expecting that Edward would say such a thing. Agnes placed her phone on the table, walking slowly towards the bathroom. Agnes wanted to wash her face and change her clothes.

Kenneth had been asleep for more than a week. Every day Agnes came and accompanied Kenneth, from morning to evening. Agnes always prayed that Kenneth would wake up soon from his long sleep.

Agnes came back, a sweet smile adorning Agnes's face. Agnes was already looking forward to meeting Kenneth. Agnes stood in front of Kenneth's door, Agnes opened the door of the room slowly, Agnes heard Edward speaking.

Agnes did not go straight in, Agnes was curious as to who Edward was talking to. Agnes silently eavesdropped on Edward's conversation.

Edward sat down and held Kenneth's hand.

"Ken, let's get up. It's day 8 and you're still sleeping huh? If you don't wake up I'll leave you." Edward was upset, sad and worried. Kenneth did not wake up from his long sleep.

Kenneth's hand moved, Edward was shocked. "Ken.. are you awake?" Edward was happy, Edward immediately ran out of the room to call the doctor.

After a while, Edward returned to the room with the doctor and a nurse. The doctor checked Kenneth.

Edward looked at the Doctor who examined Kenneth, Edward wished his friend well.

The doctor finished checking, looking at Edward. "Everything's fine. I'll check the whole tomorrow." Said Doctor.

"Thank you doctor." Answer Edward.

"I'll excuse you first, sir" The doctor and nurse left after checking on Kenneth.

Edward was pleased, approached and looked at Kenneth. "Ken, how are you feeling? Ask Edward.

"Ed.." call Kenneth in a hoarse voice.

"What's? You calling me?" Edward dumbfounded.

"If not who are you? I only have 1 friend named Edward, right? Kenneth looked at Edward.

Agnes was shocked, Kenneth was awake and conscious. Agnes does not want to be seen by Kenneth, Agnes closes the door of the room and contacts Edward. Agnes was still standing in front of Kenneth's door.

(Conversation on the phone)

"Hallo" replied Agnes.

"Listen to me, just answer yes or no." Agnes.

"Yes" replied Edward.

"Is Ken conscious?" Ask Agnes.

"Yes" replied Edward.

"You come out, I want to talk. I'm at the door right now. Remember, don't let Kenneth know I'm a lady." Agnes.

"Yes" replied Edward who langaung disconnected the call from Agnes.

Agnes clutches her phone waiting for Edward.

Klekk..

The door of the room opened, Edward came out and met Agnes. Agnes smiled as she met Edward.

"Hi Ed, I'm sorry to bother you coming to see me." Agnes wanted to talk but hesitated.

"What's wrong? You didn't come in? Don't want to see Kenneth and see Kenenth?" Edward asked.

Agnes shook her head, "sorry, I'm not ready to see her at this time. I want to ask you to look after Kenneth, help me Ed, don't tell me if I ever come see him okay? Don't ask me why I'm like this. I don't want to talk about it for now." Agnes persuades Edward.

"Hmm, I get it. Don't worry, I'll keep this secret fine. You take good care of yourself, okay? I'm gonna keep Kenenth's health in check every day." Answer Edward.

"Thanks Ed, I'm home first. See you next time.." Agnes left Edward.

Edward let out a long sigh, returning to Kenneth's room.
