Substitute Husband

Section 4

James Alexander and Ben Carney discuss the company. Jimmy was silent to James and Ben's conversation. Ben gave James a suggestion. Great opportunity to keep his company.

"i will definitely help you Mr. Alexander." Ben said, convince James.

"i'm very grateful to you Mr. Carney. I can only give up the decision on Jimmy." James was happy.

"how's Jimmy? At least you met first so you could get to know each other." Ask Ben to Jimmy.

"alright Mr. Carney. I'm willing to meet your daughter. Please determine the place and time we met." Jimmy agreed to Ben's request.

Ben smiled, "alright. Good decision Jimmy." Praise Ben.

The door of the room opened, Ben's assistant came in and walked over to Ben. The assistant whispered to Ben. Ben nodded in understanding, and asked his assistant to wait outside.

"i was in a hurry because there was interest. About the meeting I will contact, I will determine the time and location of our children to meet Mr. Alexander." Ben bawling.

"alright Mr. Carney. Sorry for our poor welcome." James.

"if we are friends, we will become a family. No need to be that way. Just pray for the best for our children, hopefully there is a match between them." Ben smiles.

James smiled at Ben, "hopefully. I also expect good things to come to our family." James looks happy.

Ben stood up from his seat, followed by James and Jimmy. Ben walked up to Jimmy, patted Jimmy slowly on the shoulder and left the room.

James sat down in the chair. Can't say what. James doubts whether he should sacrifice the happiness of his son.

"what's okay?" Ask Jimmy.

"meet with Miss Carney first. If it's not as you wish you'll tell papa. Papa could have turned down Mr. Carney's offer. Papa doesn't want you to suffer Jimmy." James is worried about Jimmy.

"papa take it easy. Jimmy's fine with pa." Answer Jimmy.

"where's Kenneth?" Ask James.

"it's in his room." Answer Jimmy.

" all right, continue your work. Let's do what we can to stay afloat." Said James.

"okay pa. Papa don't think about this too much. Jimmy's sure we can get through the company crisis." Answer Jimmy.

"hopefully. The company is in your hands. You're the only one who can change the fate of the company." James was hoping for Jimmy.

James stood up and left Jimmy alone in the room. Jimmy sat on a chair, leaned back and raised his head up looking at the sky that was in the room. Jimmy can't think anymore. The only way is to accept the offer Ben Carney likes or not.

The day and time are set. Jimmy and Agnes finally meet at a luxury restaurant. Jimmy and Agnes introduced themselves to each other. Everything went well and well. Jimmy became interested, admiring Agnes' beauty. So did Agnes who became interested in Jimmy. Because Jimmy was so friendly and polite. Jimmy was full of gentleness and a cheap smile.

"so my dad came to your office?" Ask Agnes

"yes, he came to ask about the critical condition of the company. I can't cover up and tell you everything." Answer Jimmy.

"then? Did my dad force you to meet with me?" Agnes asked again out of curiosity.

"no Agnes. I accepted my papa's offer out of curiosity about you. Could it be that I would reject a fairy as beautiful?" Jimmy smiled at Agnes.

"Don't have a sweet mouth, Mr. Alexander. Talking to me doesn't have to be stale. Wear a casual word if you want to." Answer Agnes.

"alright, I get it. So what's your job?" Ask Jimmy.

"i, I'm the chief director of my papa company." Agnes replied casually.

The ordered dishes are served at the table. Jimmy cut the steak in front of him into small pieces. Jimmy swapped his steak plate for Agnes' steak plate, and Agnes was shocked. It turns out Jimmy is also a man who is full of attention. Agnes smiled beautifully looking at Jimmy. So did Jimmy who smiled handsomely.

"thank you Jimmy. You are very attentive to women." Agnes smiled happily.

Agnes and Jimmy are enjoying their dinner. Agnes didn't have to cut the steak in front of her. It's hard to help Jimmy. Every now and then Jimmy looked at Agnes, his smile blooming over her handsome face.
