Section 30

After Edward's house, Kenneth goes to see his father and mother. Kenneth talks to his papa in the study. Kenneth stood up, opened a book without seeing James, his father. James let out a long sigh, looking at his son who was always cold to him.

"Ken, sit down." Pinta James, in a soft voice.

Kenneth sat down and still stared at the book in his hand. Kenneth just kept quiet didn't say anything.

James was saddened by Kenneth's change of attitude before he knew Jesika and after knowing Jesika until the end was dumped by Jesika. His submissive and soft-hearted Kenneth instantly turned wild and cold-hearted. Being quiet does not say much, being alone until finally deciding to separate and live alone.

Kenneth buys an apartment and lives there alone, Kenneth will only go home if there is a family event or if his mother calls him. "I won't want to pa, don't force me. I'm not a puppet you can control, I want freedom." Kenneth replied, Kenneth looked at James. "I'm not Jimmy, I wouldn't just agree with your will. Papa see, right? My condition at that time was none other than papa, papa made me suffer!" Kenneth started to get emotional.

"Ken, control yourself. Papa's guilty of you, forgive papa. Papa also regretted introducing Jesika to you back then." James said suddenly.

Kenneth opens the door to the room shocked to see his mother (Elmia Alexander) at the door. Kenneth instantly changed his facial expression, greeting his mother.

"Mama, is mama here?" Ask Kenneth.

"You had a fight with your papa?" Kenneth's mother asked looking deeply at Kenneth.

Kenneth rubbed his nape, "no mama, what you hear until you talk like that. We're fine, no quarrel and no problem whatsoever." Kenneth explains.

"That's fine, mama understands. Let's have lunch together, mama will serve it for you." Elmia said, smilingly rubbing Kenneth's face.

"Okay.." replied Kenneth.

Kenneth embraced his mother and walked over to the dining table. James saw from afar happy, however James wanted Kenneth to live happily. After losing one son James wants the other son to live well and promises himself to no longer suppress and coerce Kenneth.

Kenneth enjoys lunch with Elmia, his mother. James who had just come from the study joined the dining table. James did not want to waste the rare opportunity of gathering and eating with his son.

"Ken, are you happy? Do you feel burdened after marriage?" Ask Elmia.

Kenneth shook his head, "not at all ma, Agnes is kind and considerate. I'm fine, mama don't have to worry about me." Answer Kenneth.

"If you're not happy, just say it. Papa doesn't want you to feel burdened. You married Agnes also because of coercion, no love or liking. Don't stick to promises if you can't live a happy and depressed life." James.

Kenneth was silent, indeed in the early days of marriage was very depressed, but when James said such things as Kenneth felt never depressed and forced. Kenenth was afraid that she would part ways with Agnes.

"No need to worry, I'm not in trouble. Everything's fine." Answer Kenneth.

"Mm, eat a lot. It's rare that you come to eat. If there's any time to come and bring Agnes here." Said James, who devoured the food on the spoon.

"Yes, next time I'll take you." Answer Kenneth.

"Here you're talking, let's eat first." Elmia suddenly.

James and Kenneth silently did not speak, they heard well the words of Elmia. James and Kenneth look sweet in the eyes of Elmia, Elmia smiled faintly at her husband and son.

Kenneth was with Elmia, Elmia was peeling apples for Kenneth. Kenneth and Elmia relax in the back of the kitchen. Kenenth who usually reluctant to ask a lot of questions that day looked so curious and impatient to ask.

"Ma.. May I ask you a question?" Ask Kenneth.

"Say, what's wrong?" Elmia replied, focusing on peeling the apple.

"How did mom and dad meet?" Ask Kenneth.

"Previously didn't have a guy you liked?" Ask Kenenth.

"Of course there is, he's a handsome and nice guy. We love each other, but our destiny only comes to the middle of the road. We were each matched by our parents' choice. He married another woman, so did his mother who married another man." Elmia.

Kenneth frowned, "have your old lover ever met your mother again?" Kenenth asked again.

Elmia was surprised, silent for a moment did not answer. After she finished peeling and chopping the apple, Elmia gave it to Kenneth to eat.

"Never see you again." Answer Elmia.

"How can you tell her honesty, if you and your childhood sweetheart have met many times. Ben Carney is the one!" Elmia in her heart.

Elmia did not want Kenneth to think, so Elmia lied to say no. To be honest Elmia and Ben even had a chance to talk together on several occasions when they met.
