Section 39

Kenneth comes to the funeral with a bouquet of flowers for Jimmy. While standing in front of the headstone, Kenneth saw a bouquet of flowers on Jimmy's headstone.

"Sister, Agnes is coming?" Ask Kenneth. Kenneth smiled faintly, "is he complaining to you? I'm sorry, brother, I hurt her. Really I didn't mean it that way, I came to want to say if I couldn't keep my word foot. I'm so sorry to you, Agnes and I will be separated soon. I hope Agnes finds a better man than me." Kenneth explains it all, complaining to Jimmy.

Kenneth knelt down and placed his bouquet next to Agnes's bouquet of flowers. Kenneth closed his eyes slowly and prayed, Kenneth dissolving in his prayer. Minutes after the prayer, Kenneth stood up and said goodbye to Jimmy. Kenneth apologized again, Kenneth's tears fell down. Kenneth looked down, Kenneth deeply regretted his actions.

Kenneth wiped his tears and left Jimmy's funeral. "I'll be back later, brother." Kenneth said as he walked away, leaving Jimmy's headstone.

Ben sat on the bed, in his room. Alea walked over, sitting next to Ben.

"What's wrong?" Ask Alea.

Ben sighed, "nothing.." Ben looked at Alea, "you don't get too busy taking care of the house. I pay the waiter's salary not to see his master work. I don't want you to get sick with Alea." Ben said.

Alea smiled, embracing Ben's arm. "Thank you Ben, you've always cared and cared about me." Answer Alea. "I know you've always been cold to me, I'm sorry that still can't be what you expected." Alea.

Alea knew that from the beginning they married Ben did not love her at all. How was Agnes born? Of course it was due to demands from Ben's parents, though Ben did not love Alea but Ben did not want his wife Alea to get hurt or fall ill. For how well Alea was a faithful woman to overcome him all this time. The woman who gave birth and took care of her little daughter Ages.

"Don't say anything more Alea. I will always be there to protect you, you are my wife, the mother of my daughter. Don't always think that I never see you. Okay?" Ben held Alea in his arms.

"You're not her, you're not the woman I love. But you've always been there for me Alea. I'm sorry I'm still being cold to you sometimes. I'm sorry.." Ben spoke in his heart.

"Ben.I love you." Alea said in her heart.

Ben rubbed Alea's shoulder. "Thank you for everything Alea." Ben spoke in a soft tone of voice.

Alea raised her head to look at Ben, "i saw Alfred, is there a problem with Agnes?" Ask Alea.

"Hmmm. about that there's a little misunderstanding. There's nothing to worry about Alea, I'll take care of everything." Ben tries to convince Alea to stay calm.

Alea nodded and smiled beautifully. "Okay, I believe you." Answer Alea.

Nightfall..

Ben is at a restaurant, Ben looks to be waiting for someone. A woman approached, sitting in front of Ben.

"What are you asking me to come, Mr Carney?" Speak with a soft voice.

Ben looked at the woman, "don't talk formally like that Mia, just talk to me casually." Answer Ben.

Elmia widened her eyes, "can you not call me that?" Elmia.

"Then? What do I have to do with you? My most beautiful ex? The woman I love? You just have to choose." Ben teases Elmia.

"Ben!" Elmia lowered her head, "don't joke with me anymore. Tell me what's up?" Elmia raised her head again, looking at Ben.

"Tell me, Kenneth's past. Anybody who's ever been close to Ken, and how many women Ken's dating." Ben asked at length.

"What's wrong? Why are you asking me that." Answer Elmia.

I'll play a tape, listen carefully. Ben pulled out his phone, which was already connected to the earphonr. Elmia was initially hesitant, but also curious. What the tape Ben meant.

Elmia puts earphones in her ear, Ben plays the recording on her phone and the listener by Elmia. The tape contains the conversation Agnes and Othniel, at that time Ben recorded the conversation just in case if needed, not only Agnes conversation with Othniel sajan recorded Ben, there was a conversation Agnes with Alfred, there was a conversation with Alfred, and a statement from Aunt Hana.

Elmia was shocked to hear the recording, her mouth closed as if she could not believe what she was hearing. Elmia looked at Ben, Ben looked at Elmia.

Elmia said nothing. Elmia listened to the recording until it was over.

Elmia took off the earphones and put them on the table. Ben removed the earphone connection on his phone.

"So?" Ask Ben.

"What's going on? A lady? Who's the woman Ken met?" Guman Elmia was confused.

"Listen to me, Elmia, I won't let Agnes and Kenneth part. I don't want them to regret everything like we do." Ben suddenly said something surprising.

Elmia was stunned, yeah.. Elmia and Ben used to love each other so much, but their love had to run aground and be tucked away in memories. Both are arranged by their parents.

"Don't talk about Ben's past. Tell me, how do you stop this?" Ask Elmia.

"I'll grant Agnes a wish, get a divorce from Kenneth. Of course with just a fake divorce letter that I had prepared. The original document files signed by them I've saved. Don't you understand there's a misunderstanding here?" Ben looked at Elmia.

"Yes, Agnes has misunderstood Ken, Kenneth can't be like that." replied Elmia.

"Who knows the depth of Elmia's heart? Ken could have had a relationship with that woman." Ben said.

"Here we can't side with anyone Elmia, they're victims. I don't blame and defend Kenneth, nor do I blame and defend my daughter Agnes. I just want the best for them." Ben let out a long sigh, "I'm asking you to meet so you know that this is all my game. Sounds cruel I grant their request to part, I separate them only temporarily. I believe they will be able to open their hearts and minds. We call this the MISSION OF THE PURSUIT OF LOVE. What say?" Ben smiles.

"Ben can't you speak well with Agnes? I'll talk to Kenneth." Elmia tried to talk to Ben.

"Mia, I know you're worried. I'm also worried about Ken and Agnes. Let them decide and accept the outcome of their decision. We each play a role in watching our children. You watch over Kenneth and I watch over Agnes, trust me. They will definitely make up again. Think of it like a test to happiness." Obviously Ben.

Elmia fell silent, understanding what Ben meant. "Hmm. I'm with you, I'm sure you'll do what's best for them." Elmia.

"This is our secret, lest Kenneth and Agnes know about the fake divorce papers they will receive. Do you understand Mia?" Ben asked in a soft voice.

Elmia nodded, "hmm I understand." Answer Elmia.

Ben smiled, relieved. Now he can play a role in the game well. Ben did all this because Ben was convinced, Agnes was just a momentary emotion. So did Kenneth, both stubborn and hard-hearted. Ben wants to teach Agnes and Kenneth valuable lessons.
