SPIRIT AND DEATH

SPIRIT AND DEATH
CHANGE MINDS

After Friday prayers congregate, the lecturers, students and the people who attend are immediately welcome to eat the dishes that have been provided. Tired, but we did not feel because this happiness was much greater.

After completing the service of all, we the students also performed the Zuhr prayer together. One by one the female friends started to leave me to take lunch as well as Mia and while I was living alone inside the Mushala, something or someone greeted me with a very gentle and authoritative voice.

"Accoland ...."

"Waalaikum salam warahmatullahi wabarokatu."

"May I sit down?" asked the male Muslim genie with a white turban that looked glittering.

"Can."

"Thank you for everything. I know that someday there will be Adam's children and grandchildren who will restore the light in this mosque. For that I remain in this place and do not leave it."

"Thank God, this is all thanks to the cooperation of all parties."

"Hmmmh, you're very humble" he said. "Your struggle is very heavy, you are still very young, but the trials that persist and sincerity, have made you a strong person."

"Goddessa ...."

"I know you're confused right now. Trust everything in your soul. Your heart will bring you and them into the light of Islam. Don't cry when you see them hurt! That's the real fight. We are like human beings and when we want to be a devout Muslim, we have to face fire."

I was bowed when I listened to the words of the genie I did not recognize. It seemed like he could read my heart which was actually very erratic because of thinking about the fate of the apprentices who were within my grasp. I feel responsible for them, but I don't know what to do?

"Would God have created us in vain? Created the heavens, the earth, the sun and the moon? Is it just to fool around, does God make it easy day and night? Lose rain? Growing trees and flowing rivers? Without purpose does God give human reason?"

I immediately looked at the Muslim genie with a dim view as if I had a place to share a story, even though we had just greeted each other and did not know each other.

"***One word only, with one breath for humans to say it. Yes, to answer some of the questions above. Name: Al Ibaadah. Yes, all that God does is that we should worship Him. God expressly declares,

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ

“Not have I created jinn and men but that they may worship Me.” (QS. Adz-Dzariyaat [51]: 56)

God also insinuates us with questions,

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ

“Then do you think that We created you playfully (only), and that you will not be returned to Us?” (QS. Al Mukminun [23]: 115)

Imam Ibn Kathir –rahimahullah– said, “Word of Allah, “Then do you think, that We created you playfully (only)?” “Do you think that you were created without purpose, purpose and wisdom?” “God's Word, “that you will not be returned to Us?” “Not returned to the afterlife country?” (Tafsir Al Qur`an Al Adzim: 5/500)

"If it comes to our mind the question, “then, why did God command us to worship?” The following reasons can hopefully further convince us why we should worship our Creator, Allah subhaanahu wa ta’aala. Because God is our Creator and the Universe and Preserver of All***."

"Because God is the only One who created us and created the universe in which we live, we must worship Him, serve as servants and part of His creatures. Because God created us in the best shape."

"Yes." Yeah."

"God glorifies man with reason, so use it all to bring them all, to be something pure. If needed, I'll help you. My name's. Rajiman."

"Thank you."

"One more time, after this, there will be a great calamity upon you, Sarah. Once again, your strength of heart and piety will be tested. Remember, be sincere and do not despair! And improve your science."

"meaning?"

"Accoland ...."

"Sarah, it's lunch for you" said Mia who broke my mind while offering a plate of rice with various side dishes and fresh drinks.

"Thank God, we can be free."

"Yes. He he he."

"By the way, there's a lot of less fortunate people out there for lunch."

"really?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"This will all be a blessing, Mia. Blessing to all of us."

"And Kenzi, that brat has a brilliant idea. He will ask for donations from students and students on campus every Friday."

"It turns out Kenzi has started to want to invite friends to alms, huh? That's a tremendous amount of charity, Mia."

"We have to help her, Sarah."

"of course. Let's eat first! Later the cry because it is too long dicuekin."

"Ha ha ha ha ha, there's-there's you, Sarah. You like to joke too, right?"

*****

At 14:00 WIB. I came home from college around the road that runs through the city's riverbank. Suddenly my mind became confused to remember the message delivered by Mbah Radjiman to me during the prayer session.

I don't know what else will happen after this, I became worried and confused. But behind all that, I still feel grateful for being reminded that I am not negligent and relax because there is something heavy ahead and waiting for me.

My brain felt full and wanted to explode, I stopped to calm down for a moment, while looking at the small, clean river that was in front of me. About 30 minutes in agitation, I looked around and suddenly I saw someone who was no stranger to me.

"Bah Siji," I shouted as I saw the figure move up into the sky.

"Who?" ask her with a face that is bent from above.

"Ngapain there, Mbah siji? It will be sunburned" asked me once more out of curiosity and worry.

"Who's Siji? And don't stop my steps!"

"What are you doing up there?" I shouted with all my might, fortunately around me there was no one else.

"My master will soon meet his end and I want to show him my last service by proclaiming the voice of the chastisement in the sky" he said very loudly and clearly.

I fell silent and lowered my head, and then I thought about what he said. How could Mbah Siji do all this? He went up into the sky and wanted to make the sound of Adhan? he did everything for his master who was about to die? Speak without sound while thinking aloud. Is this what Mbah Rajiman meant? Death is the hardest trial for man.

Before long I looked up into the sky again and it turned out that Mbah Siji was no longer there. I tried to digest her words and I held my whole body to make sure.

Is it possible that I will soon die? Is it possible that God would take me this way? In this place? I kept asking inside my heart while being silent fixated like a rock.

Seriate.
