So My First Two Wives of Love

So My First Two Wives of Love
About feeling

"Want me a bribe?"

"Yes?"

I immediately took the spoon in Gibran's hand and began to eat the Padang rice. It's not that I don't want to be bribed by Gibran, I'm just worried that taking a bribe from him will only make me fall deeper and deeper, that I might soon drown as this togetherness starts to wash me away.

"Why?" gibran asked when I suddenly stopped eating. "Bad? Want to eat some porridge?"

God, really... I could be sprawled because of this attention!

"Aren't you eating?" ask me who is still trying to dampen my feelings that are growing wild because of this moment.

Gibran may not answer but he took the spoon in my hand and started eating the Padang rice with the spoon I had used.

"How are you going to get sick?" I immediately took the spoon and took it to the sink and then I took two different spoons at once two plates.

"If we are both sick, who will take Aurora?" I said while dividing the rice Padang into two dishes and of course I gave more portions to Gibran.

Gibran did not directly eat Padang rice in front of him, I saw he smiled thinly and after that he was seen holding back his tears.

"Jasmine..." Gibran called my name softly, his words stuck in his throat while I waited for him to continue so I could understand but the ringing of my phone broke this silence. I did put my phone on the kitchen counter earlier when I couldn't contact Gibran so once my phone rang, I could easily grab it.

"Who?" asked Gibran because I was silent when I saw the name on my phone screen that kept ringing. Gibran peeked because I did not answer.

"Prospective husband?" Gibran hissed, he smiled unhappily. His expression instantly changed after looking at my phone screen.

Gibran looked annoyed, he even ate Padang rice on his plate impatiently as if he deliberately ate quickly and after that he left me alone in the kitchen.

I could only sigh heavily, I still remember when Juna changed the name of her contact on my phone the day I agreed to accept her proposal and a few days later my marriage to Gibran was inevitable.

"Hello..." Juna's voice was soft on the other end of the phone when I picked up the phone call from her.

"Jasmine..." Juna called softly, I was just about to talk when my phone was suddenly grabbed by Gibran and he turned off the phone without allowing me to talk to Juna.

"What's wrong with you?" I was immediately angry not because Gibran arbitrarily snatched my phone but he also threw my phone on the table just like that.

"I should ask, what's wrong with you?" Gibran looks angry, he always looks angry when talking to me but his anger this time feels different until I feel intimidated easily.

"Prospective husband? Do you really want to go back to your ex? You want to leave Aurora?"

"What the hell are you talking about? Before he was my fiancee, he was my boss, Gibran! I left everything including my working life for Aurora, so don't you ever think I'll leave Aurora!"

"I won't let you take Aurora when you get back to your ex!"

"Talk as if I'm leaving this very second!"

"That's because you're still constantly tied to her, you still keep her name on your phone called 'prospective husband', not to mention you still wear your engagement ring, how can I not think you will not leave me like I used to?!"

I was silent to Gibran's emotional speech in a loud tone almost sounded like a scream.

"I'm leaving because I can't stand up to you who's blatantly playing me, Gibran! You want me to stay by your side, right? With a heart that you've broken, you want me to continue being your backup, huh?!"

"..."

"As now..."

My tears trickled, the universe seemed to not allow me and Gibran to make peace because everything that I thought would lead us to happiness was instead the starting gate of a new suffering.

We fought again whether it had been the number of times since we got married.

I think our married life will improve, as time went on, but I was wrong because the longer this marriage was established the more Gibran and I lived as strangers living under the same roof.

Although my relationship with Gibran was frustrating, every second I spent with Aurora and watching her grow up made me feel happy.

Six months passed and Aurora grew into an adorable baby, especially when she started to be able to sit by herself, sometimes seeing her reminds me of Ruby, perhaps that was also why Gibran could never stare at Aurora for too long, like today.

Though it was a Sunday but Gibran left since this morning and it was late afternoon but Gibran still did not come home.

Always like this, I was always restless waiting for him to come home even though he sometimes came home late at night.

I let out a breath that felt claustrophobic when I remembered it, not wanting to keep thinking about Gibran, I chose to take Aurora for an afternoon walk around the housing.

the atmosphere is shady and a little windy especially large trees lined neatly on the side of the path feels peaceful.

"Jasmine..."

I looked up when I heard someone calling me. My footsteps stopped even after seeing it my smile faded away.

"Gini afternoon, why are you still on the street?" My father asked as he left his car. I remember a week after Ruby's death, my father and his wife chose to move out of town on the grounds that they could easily make Ruby's death without thinking about Aurora who also needed a grandfather and grandmother figure even though both Gibran's parents and my grandmother were very loving Aurora but for me a complete affection for Aurora is more important.

We finally decided to talk in the park, the atmosphere was silent for a moment especially because Aurora was asleep until finally my father started talking.

"Six months, what was your marriage to Gibran?"

"Yes?"

"Let's see, you came to actually bring Aurora to live with us..."

"Huh?"

"Dad already thought, Jasmine... The implicit act of father when marrying you to Gibran is very detrimental to you especially before you have almost married another man. If your relationship with Gibran is not good, you can leave. Aurora will definitely not lack affection if she lives with her father and mother Ruby."

I have a hard time talking, even breathing is hard. My father's words stifled my breath, I still couldn't forgive him until I saw him back now who came up with his silly idea to make my heart stop beating.

"Jasmine..." My father called again gently, he even touched the back of my hand.

"Even though my marriage to Gibran was not good, my father had no right to separate me from my daughter, Rora!" I said firmly, I wiped my tears quickly before getting up and rushing away.

"Don't waste your time, Jasmine... Live happily with the man who loves you and has your own son, make your little family happy."

"Dad knows what my happiness is? From this moment to this moment, my father was never by my side. Dad, I beg you... Don't make the rest of my love for you turn into hate. Don't be greedy, Rora is my daughter, you can't take Rora from me!"

"But Jasmine..." My father stopped my steps by blocking my wrist. He scared me that he would actually take Aurora with him until my body started shaking.

"Dad, please don't bother my wife and son..."

Like the hero I expected, Gibran suddenly came and immediately removed my wrist from my father's hand, he then stood in front of me while holding my father to not move near me.

"Gibran, that's enough... You don't even love, Jasmine!'

"You don't know anything about my feelings!"
