The most difficult thing is to miss someone who is gone. Likewise with Arin who at the time was missing her mother, Arin could not do anything but pray for her.
Staring at his daughter Quenza made Arin feel at peace. Arin hopes that if his daughter will grow up to be a woman who is sholeh, devoted to parents and become a child who is beneficial to religion and country.
When he saw Quenza who fell asleep, it made Arin remember the departure of his mother a few years ago.
The Flashback
Today, as usual, Arin is getting ready to go to school. Her mother, Bu Sofia works at a convection place that specifically makes baby and child clothes. It's been years that Sofia's been working at that place.
Koko and Cici, who are from China, have lived in Indonesia for a long time. They also set up a factory that is now a livelihood for Bu Sofia. Bu Sofia deliberately works to help the economy of the Arin family.
Since he was a child, Arin always worked with his mother. Bu Sofia always goes to work using public transportation, which is what makes little Arin feel happy when joining her mother.
Now it does not feel that Arin has stepped on 3rd grade Junior High. At school Arin actively follows the extracurricular PMR (Palang Merah). In addition to being busy following these activities, Arin also has a very special friend.
"I'm home" Arin said as he returned home.
"Kok coming home late, son?" ask Bu Sofia.
"Sorry mah, I have an exkul," replied Arin who was always following the activity.
"Oh yes you have changed clothes there quickly, after that eat yes," said Bu Sofia.
"Yes, he is ready" replied Arin who immediately rushed into his room.
Since the illness, Bu Sofia has not worked for a long time. He was forced to quit his job because of his impossible condition. Once when Bu Sofia was not working, Cici and Koko always followed to work again.
At that time, Ms. Sofia was still very fresh. But this time it feels like Bu Sofia is getting tired.
"Why you have to cook everything, I can cook by myself," said Arin shortly before eating his food. It is not unhappy if we have been cared for so much by our mothers. But at the moment the condition of Bu Sofia is so weak. So if he is too tired then the possibility will be fatal.
"No dear, it's okay. Mamah is fine," said Bu Sofia who always covered up her illness. But Sofia can't be too tired.
Bu Sofia's illness began when she gave birth to Arin. After giving birth to Arin, Bu Sofia's heart is disturbed. For that Sofia can not have another child because her life will be threatened.
It's been a few months since Sofia resigned from her workplace. He has been home for a few months too. For now, Miss Sofia is just focusing on taking care of Arin. Bu Sofia feels very guilty because since childhood he always left her to work.
At that time when Arin was just coming home from school, Sofia was lying down and wearing a blanket.
"Rin, that was drug poisoning. Mama was vomiting," said Sofia who immediately told her about what she felt.
"What's? How can? But how is mama now?" asked Arin who was immediately worried after hearing her mother tell her a story.
"Lucky mamah is okay, almost mamah will," said Bu Arin who did not continue his words.
"Don't say it like that, ma'am" said Arin with teary eyes. Now Arin approached Bu Sofia, while he leaned against the wall that was previously covered with pillows. Suddenly, Arin wants to sleep on Sofia's lap.
"Good at home, son. Do not forget to eat and pray not to be left behind," said Bu Sofia who unceasingly rubbed Arin's head.
There was no response from Arin. For some reason after hearing the advice of his mother, Arin's spontaneous tears spilled unbearably. Arin was very sad. Arin hugged her mother while sleeping on her lap. For a moment they embraced.
"Have eaten first son," said Bu Sofia while rubbing Arin's head.
Arin woke up. "But I'm not hungry mah" Arin said, wiping away her tears that had fallen.
"Don't be like that, son, eat fast first huh," said Sofia Bu gently.
Arin nodded and immediately rushed to the kitchen to eat. Finished eating Arin immediately perform dzuhur prayer, after which he prayed. In his prayer Arin asked for healing for his mother and hopefully his mother was given a long life.
A few days later, Sofia was very ill. But this time he did not want to go anywhere. What Bu Sofia wanted was only to be able to go home to her parents in the village.
Finally that morning Mr. Cokro ordered a taxi online. They all went to Bu Sofia's hometown, because they had been wandering in the big city. Two hours on the way was exhausting.
Arriving at Mr. Cokro's house immediately carried his wife into the house.
"Assalamualaikum," said Mr. Cokro shortly before entering the house.
"Teh Sofi why?" tanya Bi Marni who is the sister of Bu Sofia.
"Have been sick for a few days, and this morning he asked to be brought back here" said Mr. Cokro.
While Arin can only cry since the trip.
"You why Sofia? Why is it like this?" said the grandmother who is none other than the mother of Bu Sofia. They have not met for a long time. This time when he met, his son was very ill.
There was no answer from Sofia's mouth, she could only cry.
"I want to come home, ma'am" said Sofia.
"Yes now you are here" his mother said, wiping her son's head.
"Please, your mother will soon recover" said Bi Marni who approached Arin who looked so sad. Since his arrival, Arin has been crying incessantly.
"Yes bi," said Arin as she wiped her tears.
"You rest in the room. Let your mother rest" Bi Marni said.
There was no answer from Arin's mouth. He immediately rushed into the room. He tried to close his eyes for a moment.
Some neighbors who came to visit were heard teaching. While Arin still sobbed in the room. Arin's mind drifted to and fro. Arin was afraid to think about her mother's words yesterday. I don't know why Arin couldn't sleep well since hearing his mother's words.
