RUINED MY HOPE

1. Life of Arin

After a few months of being near Reza made Arin's life more meaningful. For Arin, Reza's presence is a breath of fresh air, because Reza always makes him smile. Even Reza always gave his attention to Arin who always felt a lack of affection from his father.

Since her mother died, Arin has lived alone with her father. Arin doesn't even have a sister or an older brother next to her. Although there is a family that comes from his mother and father, but Arin never felt he had a family. Maybe it was because the Arin family was far enough out of town that it made them not so close.

That morning as usual Arin was preparing to go to school. Arin now sits in the 12th grade of High School (SMA). Although Arin almost dropped out of school, but thank God finally Arin can go to school too even though only in a fairly simple school.

During his 3 years at High School, Arin finally graduated with a fairly satisfactory grade.  Although sometimes Arin will almost drop out of school, but eventually he can finish school.

Still remember in Arin's mind if his father used to tell Arin not to continue his school.

The Flash back On

"What if you don't have to continue Rin's school" said Mr. Cokro Purnama, sipping a glass of black coffee is still hot.

"What yeah? But I really want to go to school well, even I want to continue school to college," added Arin again who was eating breakfast.

"But you know for yourself that your father is just a laborer whose job is not fixed" Cokro said again.

Hearing her father's words made Arin speechless. Arin felt that what her father said was true as well. Since the first father does not have a permanent job, so to continue school alone feels impossible.

"What's up Rin? How silent?" asked the father who saw him suddenly fell silent after talking a lot.

"It's okay well, Arin understands the condition of the father. But Arin also still hopes if later after graduating from First High School (SMP), Arin can continue school," said Arin who suddenly felt pessimistic. Whereas previously Arin always felt optimistic to be able to continue school to a higher level.

Although his father is not fully supportive of Arin's desire to go to school, but Arin is always eager to live his days. Arin always tries to learn so that he gets good values.

Arin was lucky because at school she always got help. If not, he would not be able to go to school. For everyday Arin does not require a lot of pocket money, most importantly there is a fee to ride public transportation is enough for Arin.

A few months later, graduation day finally arrived. After running the School End Examination (UAS) and National Examination (UN), finally the graduation day arrived. The school held a pretty simple farewell. Farewell attended by students only and teachers. A really simple but memorable farewell for Arin.

After all the series of events were finished, Arin and his friends gathered in one of their houses named Hana. Since a few days ago her mother Hana invited her closest friends to eat. There were only a few people who participated, they were Hana, Winda, Santi and also Nisa. Because it is only Arin and other friends who are close to Hana.

They immediately rushed to Hana's house by public transportation.  Half an hour later they finally arrived at Hana's house.

"Assalamualaikum," Hana said as she entered her house.

"Waalikumsalam warrohmatulohi wabarokatuh," replied Bu Widia who is Hana's mother.

"Good news aunty," they answered the compact that greeted Widia's mother one by one.

"Take your friends over Han, continue to invite them to eat what you have prepared in the kitchen" said Bu Widia.

"Well ma'am," replied Hana who immediately sent her friends to the kitchen and brought their food on the 2nd floor of Hana's room. After their food ran out, they talked.

"Yeah, we're graduating too" said Hana, who was delighted after graduation.

"I'm also happy, we're finally going to start a new life. School to a new place, with a new atmosphere, too" Arin said.

"But I'm sad, later we will rarely meet," said Winda.

"But we can make an appointment to meet," said Santi who gave advice.

"You are also san" Hana said again.

Not felt because so many things were talked about finally the afternoon began to come. They eventually disbanded each.

A few days later Arin tries to apply to a High School not so far from his home. But when going to register again Arin must be disappointed because it does not have enough money to hold. The father also spoke again if Arin should just work. However, for children the age of Arin will work anything just by capitalizing Junior High degree.

Arin was again pessimistic. Arin is afraid that he really can't continue his schooling. Though Arin really wants to go to school even to college. For the second time Arin tried to apply to public school, maybe by attending public high school will ease the cost of Arin. But again Arin had to swallow disappointment because the quota at school was full.

Arin was sad again, this time he was really desperate because he really could not continue his school. But unexpectedly, someone suddenly contacted Arin if he had been entrusted to a private high school with a fee that had been released. And Arin was asked to come to school that Monday.

Alhamdulillah really unexpected sustenance finally Arin can go to school in one of the private High School is quite simple. After coming to school and meeting with the principal, Arin was finally allowed to go to school and his fees were released.

It was all unexpected, because Arin was really desperate if he could continue school. Although with financial conditions that sometimes exist sometimes not, it never makes Arin discouraged. The drawback is precisely made Arin as an advantage to still be excited in learning.

Not felt 3 years later finally Arin graduated with a fairly satisfactory score. After graduation, Arin also still hopes if he will continue his education to a higher level. At least with the capital of Arin High School diploma can get a better job.

A few weeks after graduating from school Arin immediately made several job applications. Starting from clothing stores, retail stores and even famous restaurants did not forget he missed. Arin hopes that by capitalizing on a high school diploma will get a better job.
