18. Dad's Rejection

Today Arin plans to say his wish to his father. Although Arin hesitated a little, but he tried to tell the truth. But before he tells his father, Arin meets with Reza first to ask for his opinion.

Arin and Reza had already planned to meet at the usual place. Arin who had first arrived apparently had not seen the arrival of Reza.

"Sorry big brother is late," said Reza who suddenly came with gasping breath.

"Yes, no, nothing. I just came anyway" replied Arin.

"Yes, we ate there just as much as we drank" Reza said.

"I just want to drink, brother," said Arin again.

"But the laper brother wants to eat" said Reza, who was like a child.

"Yes, my sister ate a meal" said Arin again.

"Please order fried rice yes, the drink is free," said Reza.

"Ok brother," replied Arin as he pointed his thumb as a sign of agreement.

Before discussing the essence of his meeting, Reza ate his food first. Arin understood that when he came home from work he would feel tired. But Arin did not order food because he was still quite full. Arin just drank his favorite chocolate ice.

"So how's rin?" reza asked after devouring his food.

"I want to talk to you, sister, what do you think?" ask Arin again.

"Yes, you told me first that we wanted to get married. If for example your father asks brother, then brother will go home to see your father," explained brother Reza.

"Well, brother, I'll talk about it right now" Arin said.

"Yes rin, I wish you good luck" Reza said before Arin left.

"Yes aamiin" replied Arin who accepted Reza's prayer.

After that brief encounter, Arin finally rushed home. Arin has been there for a long time. What Arin wants now is to get home soon to talk about his wishes with Reza.

When I got home, I came home first. Arin allows her father to eat and clean up first. After his father looks relaxed then Arin will come to him.

After a few minutes of waiting, Arin noticed the father sitting in the living room. That means dad's relaxed. Arin immediately approached his father.

"Well" said Arin, sitting next to his father.

"Yes, son, what's wrong?" asked his father who was surprised, because Arin did not usually open the conversation.

"Look, Arin wants to get married" Arin said.

"What's? Be married? You didn't hear me wrong?" repeat the father who did not believe what he heard.

"Well, Arin wants to get married" Arin said.

"With sister Reza, yeah" replied Arin.

"What's Reza? Why should he? Is there no other man in the world but Reza?" the strangled father was startled to hear Reza's name. Since the beginning, Mr. Cokro did not really like Reza. I don't know what's making me dislike Reza. What was clear was that Arin also felt surprised when he saw his father's expression.

"What happened to Reza?" asked Arin who linked the two halis.

"Don't he have a wife?" search Mr. Cokro.

"Yes yeah, but he's separated from his wife" Arin said.

"Dad disagrees if you marry him" his father said.

"But yeah," said Arin again.

"There is no but-but, anyway father refused and will not give you blessing!" scream at his father once more

After hearing the answer from her father, Arin felt sad and confused. If Arin hadn't done that, maybe Arin would have followed his father. It's just that makes Arin forced to marry Reza because that's all. Arin never imagined if he married someone else, and that person knew that Arin had ever been in contact with another man. I don't know what Arin's gonna do.

Without saying anything more, Arin immediately rushed into his room. Arin is confused as to what to explain to her father.

"What should I do now? Dad turned out to refuse my request," said Arin with teary eyes.

His mind floated thinking about what he himself felt confused about what to do. Not long after Arin immediately contacted Reza and immediately explained everything. Reza who heard the right was shocked. Reza did not expect that Arin's father would reject him just because he knew that Reza was married. Inside Arin could not close his eyes because of thinking about that. Almost midnight Arin thought about it all, but the late Arin finally fell asleep too.

Outside Mr. Cokro also felt confused and very surprised because of Arin's sudden request. What makes Mr. Cokro refuse is not because Arin wants to get married. But with whom Arin will marry. As a parent, Mr. Cokro certainly wants the best for his son. Mr. Cokro wants to see his son live happily.

"I'm sorry, son, I didn't refuse your request. But father did not allow if we married the man," murmured Mr. Cokro inwardly.

The next day, Arin awakens without the usual spirit. If usually Arin will clean the house first, this time Arin does not want to do anything. Today Arin just wants to go to work soon. Even Arin did not want to say hello to his father because of last night's dispute.

"You didn't have breakfast, son?" ask Mr. Cokro who saw Arin look different today. Arin looks more shy.

"No, Arin's bad luck. Later breakfast at the store only," replied Arin as necessary.

"Are Arin angry with me just because last night. Ah it's the most important thing I don't approve of their relationship, because it's all for Arin's good. Most importantly Arin can live happily, " muttered Mr. Cokro monologue.

Arriving at work, Arin could not concentrate. Arin's mind was always reminded of his father's words.  Arin feels confused what to do, it looks like Arin just said this all to bi Marni.

After his work was done Arin immediately took out his flat object from inside the bag. He started looking for bi Marni's name on his phone. Not long after the call was finally connected, it's just that bi Marni was late picking up the phone.

"How is rin?" bi Marni said from across there.

"Sorry that aunt was doing work so he replied a long time ago," added bi Marni again.

"Yes bi is okay. Oiya bi, I've talked everything over to father bi. But father refused, father did not approve of our relationship bi," said Arin with eyes that began to glaze over.

"What's? But why is your father like that?" asked Bi Marni who was surprised by her father's statement. As parents, we should give our blessing if our children are getting married.
