Talking is easy but the practice is difficult. That sentence seems appropriate to describe my situation now.
It's been almost a week and I can only stand in front of a room that says COMPUTER CLUB on its door. Remind me that I have agreed to Pak Wahyu's suggestion to participate in the exkul? Even I have made a pact with myself and made a determination. The fact is not that easy. I tried repeatedly to enter this room but could not. I really can't beat my introvert nature.
The door is closed, but that doesn't mean there's no one inside. There are. However, every time the door knob opened, I immediately ran away before someone, whoever came out of there could see me. Maya will definitely babble.
“Where is Ren, can?”
“This time must have been a success, right?”
Or the.
“Definitely failed again? Aye, right? Huh, cemen!”
If so, I can only look down weakly. Of course Maya once offered to accompany me there which I refused a thousand percent. It's nothing, I'm afraid Maya will mess it up. I mean, sometimes Maya has wild ideas that are hard to guess. For example, when he introduced me as Rex's girlfriend at a basketball game the other day. Maybe he'll introduce me as Bill Gates' nephew to all the kids at the computer club. I can't imagine how embarrassing it would be if that happened.
Like I said, my guts. I retreated slowly and turned around, suddenly I hit something, someone to be exact.
“Aduh!” his erang.
“Sorry..sorry...” I said spontaneously. A man stood looking at me while grimacing in pain. It seemed that I accidentally stepped on his foot.
“What are you doing here? tanyakanya. I can only try to answer. Damn, why is it so hard to talk?
“Ah, do you want to enter the computer club?” continued. I can only shake. I need to get out of here before I act any stranger.
“You're mute, huh?” he said again while frowning. I shook my head again.
“Bu-kan.” I can finally talk, even a little.
“Then?”
I sighed, closing my eyes trying to calm myself down. I can handle this.
“I want to register in the computer club. But I don't know how.” I don't know why my words sound so formal and I say them with a single breath. Wow.like ijab kabul only.
“Oh...it so happens that you meet the right person.” he replied with a face of sumeringah.
“You're the chairman?”
“Not me anyway, but I am also a member here.”
“Oh..”
“Ya, already. Come, log in!” Without warning, he grabbed my hand and led me into the room. I was very unprepared but I was also in a position of not being able to resist. The first thing I saw was that the room was full of computers, of course. There are about ten computers complete with PCs mounted on a dedicated desk. A beautiful wireless printer is displayed right in front of the computer. There are also two cabinets that are large enough to store items that I do not know what the contents in them are. A long table full of computer components parked in the corner, it looks like a repair desk.
“Everything, attention!” he said and made everyone in the room stare at us, more precisely at me. Like a horror film, the creepy atmosphere immediately spread on the surface of my skin. I could feel my book standing.
“This is a new kid who wants to join our club.” I took the time to count the number of people here. There were five people and they were all looking at me with curious or suspicious faces?
I could feel my whole body trembling. Yes, God.help me. Relax Ren, you can definitely not let go.
“I, Crisp. Call me Ren. Class XII A. Me...” Damnit damnit! My brain is getting black! Why in times like these I suck! Maybe I should also take part in public speaking exkul as Maya suggested.
“Accepted.”
“Hah?” I looked over and found the man smiling kindly.
“You want to join here, right? And you are accepted.”
“Oh...” that's all that comes out of my mouth. I don't know why my brain is slow right now.
“That, her name is Rudy. He's the chairman of this club.” The guy pointed at the repair desk and the guy named Rudy raised his hand as a greeting introduction.
“Those two, Niko and Ferdi.” Niko and Ferdi seem to be busy watching their respective computer screens. From his response like that I can immediately recognize their karekter. Cue. They seem not to be much different from me.
“That's Son and that's Doni.” Unlike Niko and Ferdi who were indifferent, these two seemed to smile kindly at me which of course I replied with a friendlier smile.
“And me, Abi.” Finally the guy introduced himself. I read the name tag in his uniform, Saylendra Abhimanyu. Wow..the name sounds very noble but easy to remember.
Then Abi immediately took me on a tour while explaining what activities they do here like a tour guide. Maybe for those who are used to it, this place is indeed like a computer club. But for me who just set foot here, seeing all these complexities, this place is like a battlefield. And I am their leader with horses and swords. Oh, no. I'm starting to slur. Quickly I had to get rid of my imagination.
“Hmm..The members are only this?” my many.
“Sebennya much, there are about twenty gitu. But the active yes, just this.” he replied while grinning. But that grin did not diminish anything on his face.
“And you, Ren. The only girl who wants to join this club. Understand, as you can see, it's all about computers not make up.” I laughed when I heard it. If Abi had known that I didn't really intend to enter this school if it wasn't for Oxford, I might have been kicked out of here. Then Abi resumed the explanation of their program and activities.
Okay, I don't think a computer club is a bad idea, which doesn't mean it's a good idea to remember when I first joined. It takes time to analyze as time goes on. I also had to learn to fight my introverted nature to fit in. But at least there's Abi here who seems to be my guide. I don't know why I have such good intuition about him, I mean about this club.

I couldn't stop thinking since I got out of the computer club, a lot of things went through my brain. Sometimes I can't control the barrage of thoughts in my head. They came slowly, creeping through the corners of my mind and turning into all sorts of imaginations. Abi said as a member, I could come there anytime without any special schedule. I don't know why I feel so happy and make me smile right away. With this, my way to England will be more wide open plus the presence of a guide like Abi who is always ready to help.
My smile immediately vanished when I saw Rex and Mr. Alif were crouching near the car while eating something. It sucks because they look so familiar. They stood up when they saw me approaching.
“For so long, Ren?” ask Rex with his mouth full. It turned out that they were eating a burger, there was mayonnaise sauce stuck to his cheek. Even this big, he did not know how to eat right. Without even noticing it, I got into the car.
“Come, Sir,”
“Iya, Mbak.”
“Yee...given as well!” rex said in a annoyed tone. Good, now he knows what it's like to be upset. Rex came in, then looked at me from toe to head.
“What?”
“You sick?” I just snorted and threw my face away, choosing to look out the window. Surely Rex just meant to piss me off. But it won't work now, because my mood is good. I thought back to what happened at the computer club. Oh, Maya! I can't wait to share my experience with him today.
