The news of Rex's accident immediately spread to the school including his fans who said Maya immediately made a scene Rexylicious group. All of Rex's friends came to visit him, as did the principal and the teachers. But of course they only found Rex who was asleep because he was still unconscious.
At once Rex's nursery was full of flowers and fruit baskets in which were written greeting cards, which read,
QUICKLY HEAL REX!
STAY STRONG BRO!
There are also those who write,
WE MISS YOU!
WE LOVE YOU!
What can be guessed it must be from the female fans. Not in good health or sick, it turns out Rex has a loyal fan. Rex is loved by his friends.
Niko, Maya and Vania also come to visit. They also brought hand fruit, especially Vania he brought a large container box containing croquettes and sushi.
Because doctors forbid visitors to linger in the outpatient room, so they only look for a moment. Then we went to the hospital cafeteria for coffee.
“Patient yes, Ren.” says Maya. I nodded weakly.
“Hopefully Rex quickly heals yes, Ren. I will doain so Rex quickly wake up.” timpal Vania with a sad face. He said Rex was once the number one guy in his heart, though his love clapped one hand.
“Stranquil, Rex will be aware later.” said Niko while gently patting my shoulder. I looked at him and smiled. I'm very grateful because right now their support is very much needed to strengthen me.
After Niko, Maya and Vania leave, I go back to Rex's room. Mama was there, sitting on a chair near Rex's bed while wiping her hands with a towel and warm water. Mama did not cry anymore, but her anxious face was still clearly drawn. I stared at Rex who was still blindfolded with all the tools attached to his body.
Rex…
***
Three days have passed and there is still no sign Rex will be awakened. My mom and I have been waiting in the hospital for three days. The school gave me a special dispensation, they knew I was still in shock because my twin had an accident and was lying in a coma. It seems like the teachers understand the strong inner bond that twins have. It's just that the headmaster advised, that I should not take too long off so as not to miss lessons.
Papa also came to visit every day to bring our needs such as changing clothes and food from home. Papa also has to work and cannot skip from the office because it will definitely affect the client later. For that he as much as possible split the time to be able to keep monitoring Rex.
Mr. Alif also never absent coming, I think there is still guilt in his heart.
At night, my mom and I took turns to check on Rex. Starting from the infusion hose to the ECG screen to make sure the heart is still stable. So, if something goes wrong, we can quickly call the medics.
That morning my mom woke up and was making instant coffee for both of us. There were several packages of bread, (a hand that Rex's friend brought during a visit the other day), as our breakfast. I glanced towards Rex, still the same.
“Ma,” lirihku. Mama looked.
“Udah wake up, Ren?” he said while shaken. I'm nodding.
“We had this breakfast first, yes. Later in the afternoon mom will ask papa to buy food. What do you want, Ren? Stew chicken?” said the mother who is now carrying a breakfast tray to the sofa.
I looked at my mom, her face was tired. We're all tired. But mama looks tangled, her eyes slightly sunken with dark circles around her. The combination of lack of sleep and crying, of course, your face looks chaotic.
“Ma,” I touched his shoulder.
“Hmm?” Mama looked at.
Mama sighed while looking down.
“You really, Ren. But you're okay here alone?”
I shook my head steadily.
“Gak, Mom. Ren can, really. I believe in Ren. If there's anything, Ren must immediately contact mama.”
Mama looked at me with a frown, looking doubtful.
So, quickly I said, “Mama calm down, aja. Okay?” I said to convince him. Then mama nodded.

After my mom left, I sat by Rex's bed. I tapped into a basin filled with warm water and a towel that you could use to wipe Rex's body. Looks like mom forgot to wipe Rex this morning, so I'll take it. I squeeze the towel, warm hot water still feels then slowly I wipe the palms and fingers Rex one by one. There was no response, Rex was still silent.
When I finished, I removed the basin and then grabbed Rex's hand.
“Rex...” lirihku. “You can not hear? If you can be horrified, please. you wake up, yes.” I know Rex can't hear me, but I don't care. I just want to say everything in my heart. Which for a few days has been so stifling.
“Rex, you know, you get a lot of fruit, flowers and even Vania for sushi. All school friends want you to get well.” I said again. I stared at him, his eyes still closed.
Suddenly I remembered Rex's words after he had come back from Maya's house.
“Every one who lives will surely frown on a dead name, Ren. It's the same as math. No matter how, the outcome is certain. Only we do not know it, when, where and how.”
My chest started to tighten, my eyes started to heat up and I shook my head many times. No, I don't want to lose Rex this way. Rex can't go this way. There's still a lot of things he has to do. He still has to go to the national basketball game, right? More than that, I want her to wake up, I still want to see her acting annoying and I want her to treat me as usual.
I bit my lower lip, holding back from crying. But damn, my tears escaped perfectly, dripping down my hands.
I quickly deleted it, then said, “If you wake up, I'll persuade you to take a photo of that silly Rilakkuma couple.”
Once again I yawned tears on my cheeks.
“But you have to wake up, Rex. You've been sleeping a long time, don't you? Are you not tired?” my annoyance. Desperate, I slid my face to the side of her bed while tightly grasping Rex's hand. I sobbed, spilling all my emotions, irritated and tired in tears. I stayed in that position for quite a while, because it felt like my body was so tired that it even raised its head.
Just as I was about to feel despair, I suddenly felt something move in my hand. I straightened my back and observed Rex's hand.
Fingers moving!
Looking at his face, his eyelids seemed to move indeterminate. Then I looked at the ECG screen and showed steady lines, which was a sign of a normal heartbeat. Instantly there was a groan from Rex's lips.
“Rex?” call me.
Slowly but surely, his eyes opened but then squinted back, I guess because of glare or something.
“Rex! You're aware!”
Rex is still groaning.
With a quick move I immediately pressed the button above his head, calling the medics.
