Repeating Time For The Perfect Revenge

Repeating Time For The Perfect Revenge
Chapter 35's

I sat in the living room with my dad. The atmosphere of the house is so quiet and crowded. The air really feels heavy.

“Sorry,” said my father broke the silence.

“Sorry because dad didn't trust you before.”

Nothing comes out of my mouth. I also don't know what to say in a situation like this.

The middle-aged man took off the glasses he had been wearing since. He's massaging the base of his nose. His expression was very frustrating.

“But I don't know what to do,” he said frustratingly.

The look on the face of the man who had raised me almost half his age was staring straight ahead. He refused to look me in the face at this moment.

“Deciding your engagement may be the best thing for you.”

I was relieved that he was considering my feelings and my future right now. Being with a man like Timothee is like bringing hell into my life.

“But it is not a decided thing that is that easy. After all, the fate of the father's company was still in the hands of the Jordan family. Without them we will fall into misery.”

The wind that I felt disappeared. There is no definite solution to this problem. My father might have hesitated to continue my engagement to Timothee, but he also seemed reluctant to break it off.

Again and again, I was second only to his company. I will never be his top priority. Even if I was his biological son, I was still nothing compared to his company.

It was not selfish and did not want to understand about his current position or about the circumstances and fate of my father's company. I who have repeatedly turned the clock must be very aware and know that there is no good thing if my engagement and Timothee continue. In the end death will come back to see me if I stay with that man.

“What if the person I'm engaged with is replaced?” muttered.

Alexander's name flashed for a moment in my mind. There is one part in my mind that wants to try to make a replacement between Alexander and Timothee's current position. But I'm not that brave to reveal it.

“Hah?”

My father looked at me with a very surprised expression. It seems he heard what I just said.

“Are you having an affair too?” he asked with an expression of disbelief.

“No!” argue quickly.

The middle-aged man did not continue to ask, but his gaze was more than enough to hint that he needed an explanation from me.

“I just asked. After all Alexander, his brother, has no fiancee at this time.”

Instead of improving, his expression seemed even more astonished by what I had just said. A few seconds later, he turned the look in his eyes into a glare filled with judgment.

“What have you done with Alexander?” tanyakanya.

“Nothing. He is a young lecturer in my faculty who is quite famous. After all, it never hurts to replace Timothee with him.”

The man's forehead is getting worse. I was well aware that my words just now did not answer his question at all.

“She expressed her feelings to me a few days ago,” my words are not entirely a lie.

“So, I thought-“

“What?!”

I haven't finished my sentence yet, my father shouted. He looked back at me with disbelief.

“He expressed his feelings for his sister's fiancee? Absolutely no dignity at all.”

“Isn't that better than Timothee cheating with Lucy?!”

I raised my voice. I don't know why I was upset to hear my father judge Alexander that way when he himself had defended Timothee desperately before.

The man was silent. He's massaging the base of his nose. It seemed that too much information had shocked him today.

“Will father try to discuss with Jordan family.”

After saying so, my father got up from his sitting position and stepped his feet away from the living room.

I just stayed at my place. I didn't even notice where my father was going. I was preoccupied with thoughts of what would happen if Timothee's position was completely replaced by Alexander.

Drrt... Drrt...

“One coincidence!” I said after seeing Alexander on my phone screen.

I picked up the man's phone call.

“Halo. What's up?” ask me without a stale base.

“I just feel the need to call you right now.”

I laughed at his words. It's not wrong at all. I was just about to call her before she called me.

“You're right. Something I want to talk to you about right now.”

“Hahaha... You are weird.”

I frowned when I heard his words.

“Means?” many confused.

“Sometimes you speak formally and call me ‘Bapak’. Sometimes it is also informal and use me-you as it is today.”

I rolled lazily both balls of my eyes while grunting rudely.

“Again, you are a lecturer. There is no harm in greeting you with the designation ‘Bapak’.”

The man laughed out loud. I didn't even feel anything funny about what I said just now. I could only shake her head to hear her laugh.

“There's something I want to talk about,” I said.

Alexander tried to stop his laughter. I still hear his voice right now.

“Talk about what?” tanyakanya.

“About my engagement with Timothee.”

His laughing voice completely disappeared.

“I proposed to my father to replace Timothee with you to become my fiancee.”

Silent moment. Alexander and I were both silent.

“Then how did you respond?” the question breaks the silence.

“Say he will talk about it with your family.”

I covered up the fact of my saying that Alexander had expressed his feelings for me. I don't know why I feel ashamed to say it.

“Good. I'll wait for that chance. Timothee doesn't deserve to be next to you after what she did with Lucy.”

I was reminded of a photo of Timothee and Lucy that just blew people away a while ago. There's a little weird about the photo, but I don't want to care so much because it won't erase the fact that the man went to see Lucy and spent time with the woman.

“This is a great opportunity to break off my engagement to Timothee. Besides, it also benefits you because I know how you feel about me. I hope you don't disappoint me at all,” I said as I stared at the ceiling of my room.

“Take it easy. I can't afford to waste this opportunity. I will make you mine completely.”

I smiled miris. I don't know why I don't feel any relief at all. But it's better than me to keep my relationship with Timothee when I know he'll keep me. More than that, not once or twice did I suffer the fate of being with that man.

“Maybe this is the best option I can take,”.
