“I was expecting it to end like this,” said Timothee.
The man was sitting behind the wheel of his car.
I was surprised to look at him. I remember very well this was the time before the incident where I showed my frustration to Timothee. This was the time before my engagement and Timothee was decided and put my father's company on the verge of bankruptcy.
“How did you feel after your father divorced her?” tanyanya.
“Do you think?”
The man chuckles. I'm not so dizzy. I just had to hold back until I got to campus.
I am sure that time has replayed. But I don't know for sure what the cause is and how far the time goes back.
“What is this because of my request?” muttered.
“Hmmm...?”
Timothee looked in wonder at me. Maybe he heard me muttering.
“What did you say?” tanyanya.
“Nothing. I just wish time could be turned back.”
I wanted to test the truth behind my guess just now. Although I don't know which time I'll be back, but I still want to try it.
***
I stared at Timothee who was sitting behind the wheel. I feel like nothing's happened.
‘Maybe it's just my bullshit conjecture. After all who would believe if I had such power. I'm really silly, my inner’.
“I thought it would end like this.”
I gawked at what Timothee had just said. I stared in wonder at him who was like a robot repeating his conversation.
“How did you feel after your father divorced her?”
I smiled widely realizing that all of that was not just a guess. A crazy idea flashed through my head.
“I really want to slap you.”
“What?!”
Timothee raised her tone in surprise at what I just said.
I held my hand up high, then put my palm on her cheek. I slapped his cheek with all my might.
“AAAH! Are you crazy?!”
The car we were riding in lost its balance after I slapped the man. Timothee looked upset and panicked because the car we were driving kept turning in the middle of the road.
PIPS!! PIPS!!
A truck passed at high speed towards the car we were riding in. The car apparently won't be able to stop its speed before it hits this car.
“I hope time can be turned back!” I said as I held the seatbelt I was wearing so scared and closed my eyes.
***
The horn sound of the truck approaching us suddenly disappeared. I still hold my seat belt tight. My eyes are also closed.
“I thought it would end like this.”
I breathed a sigh of relief when I heard Timothee's voice that looked like a broken cassette that was continuously repeating the same piece.
My grip on the seat belt loosened. My eyes slowly opened.
His condition was exactly the same as before I slapped the man's face. The car we were driving was heading to my college with Timothee sitting behind the wheel.
“What's wrong with you?” The man chuckles.
“Why do you look scared? This isn't the first time I've taken you to your college. But you act like I'm a bad driver.”
His words sounded different than before. This time he didn't ask me about my feelings after my father and Lucy's mother divorced.
“You just calm down. I'll drive you safely to your campus.” The man chuckled again.
I did not respond to the man who kept chuckling next to me. I even cringe his laughing brain will be damaged later.

“Thank you.”
I got out of Timothee's car and walked into my faculty building to attend college today.
Not long after I entered my faculty building, I saw Alexander had just arrived.
Seeing that Timothee's car was no longer in the parking lot, I immediately turned around and approached Alexander who seemed to be getting out of his car.
“Good morning, Sir,” my greetings are friendly.
“Hmm..”
I was annoyed to see him never return my greeting. But I want to get rid of that feeling today. There were things that bothered me quite a few days but I never asked him.
“I want to ask you what time in the hospital is, yes?”
The man flinched. His body stiffened, but he tried as if nothing had happened.
“What do you mean?” he said he pretended not to know, but I could see he was avoiding the look in my eyes.
“Bapak sure I have to repeat the words of the Father at that time here?”
Alexander massaged the base of his nose and sighed.
“You're coming to my room.”
I smiled triumphantly because it was like finding the man's weak point. I followed him walking behind him.
***
“Now you can explain what you meant last time I was in the hospital what?”
Alexander sighed again. He stared straight at me.
“Just take my word it never existed. Now you can go out.”
I glanced at what the man had just said. My mouth was gaping to say something but I was completely at a loss for words. There was only a look of surprise and disbelief that I could show him.
He was still staring flatly at me who had not even stopped gaping so surprised. I can't believe he was the same person who protested about my engagement and Timothee by asking ‘if I would still accept the engagement if it was him, not Timothee’.
“Mr seriously?” many ensure.
“Iya. You reckon? Anyway you seem to be enjoying your relationship with Timothee at the moment.”
“Father is really serious?” my ul.
The man squinted his eyes at me full of probing. He no longer answered my question and just fell silent.
I laughed blandly. I laughed at my stupidity for thinking that I could use it as a shield to take revenge on Timothee. But that guy doesn't seem to think I'm that important.
“I actually don't like Timothee and want to make a deal with you. But seeing how you responded to my previous question, I undo my intention.”
“What do you mean?”
The man looked surprised. He brought himself closer to me.
“No. It'sit's nothing. We better forget today's talk.”
I tried to open the door that was right behind me and get out of the room. But before I came out, the man grabbed my hand and closed the door again.
“Try saying once more. Did I hear wrong?” tanyanya.
I sighed seeing how he was currently behaving. I lifted my chin and looked at his two defiant eyes.
“Forget what I said. I feel foolish to have said such a thing.”
I brushed aside his hand, reopened the door he had closed earlier and stepped out of his room.
A thin smile I put down. I was sure that the man would come back to me. I'll use it to get revenge on Timothee.
