Repeating Time For The Perfect Revenge

Repeating Time For The Perfect Revenge
Chapter 24's

Drrr... Drrt...

My phone has been shaking ever since. Alexander's name is on his screen making a call. But I had no intention in the slightest to pick up a phone call from the man.

Drrr...Drrt...

It seemed that the man did not want to give up even though I kept ignoring his phone calls from earlier.

“Huh! I told you before that you're coming back at me isn't as easy as when I came to offer you a deal.”

Drrr... Drrr...

A short message came into my phone after a phone call from Alexander died for the last time.

‘From Alexander:

Why didn't you pick up my phone? Is your offer no longer valid?’

I laughed at the brief message the man sent me. I don't want to return that message. I have been warning him since the beginning.

It was almost the same day as usual. My main activity is to follow the lecture which has become my obligation as a student.

The thing that made today feel different was Giovano's awkward attitude towards me. Maybe he just woke up from his act yesterday which indeed feels very strange.

“Alicia!” Giovano called my name awkwardly. The man even rubbed the back of his neck in nervousness.

“Ya?”

“My words yesterday don't think too much. Maybe I thought too much until I spoke like that.”

I just nodded in understanding. Anyway, I didn't think much about it. I knew very well that he could not possibly harbor feelings for me, which he had known for a long time. Even if it happened, I couldn't even imagine it because I felt it was a strange thing.

Drrr... Drrr...

A short message came back into my phone. I opened it and grinned as soon as I saw Alexander's name appear as the sender of the message.

‘From Alexander:

Finish college, you go to my room.’

There was no reply I sent to the man. Although it seems disrespectful, I still want to reply because of his haughty attitude all along. I want her to feel at least restless and frustrated because I ignored her. But of course I will still go to his room after all my lectures today are over.

Geck... Geck...

I knocked on Alexander's door. He's still a lecturer at this college, at least I have to show a bit of courtesy to keep my reputation that I just rebuilt after what happened with Lucy last time.

“Please enter,” the voice of the male's baritone is heard from inside the room.

Chequek!

I opened Alexander's door and went inside. I was a little surprised to see the appearance of that man who looked messy. Her hair was disheveled, her tie had already been loosened and her top two buttons were left open.

“It seems that the situation you are experiencing is quite bad,” I said while chuckling.

Alexander stared intently at me who was laughing at his appearance today. But from the look in his eyes I could see that he was feeling very frustrated at the moment.

“Did you know it from the beginning?”

The man's words and tone of voice were heard judging me. Although the tone of his voice was not raised, but the emphasis on each word he spoke made me feel the cold and cynical impression he was conveying to his words. I had expected that in the end he would suspect me even though he did have feelings for me.

“What do you mean by Father?” I pretended not to know what the man meant.

“I can see your gaze that is laughing at me right now.”

I laughed out loud hearing him just yell at me. The look of disdain I threw at him as soon as my laughter was over.

“Didn't I have said the same to you before. You will walk towards me no matter what happens. Didn't you really want me?” I said underestimating.

No objection came out of the man's mouth. His residence seemed to justify what I had just told him.

He breathed a rough breath. He sat down while leaning his body on the back of the chair. His gaze led to the sky of his room.

“You're right. I really wanted you from the beginning. I can't argue with him,” he said.

He seems to be moving with his current situation. I grinned at the man's words.

I lay my body on the sofa in the man's room. The courtesy I showed earlier by knocking on the door of his room only applies when someone sees me. It was all for my reputation. But if there were only the two of us like now, such politeness was just nonsense.

“Why didn't you say it in the first place?”

I frowned at me. I was guessing where the man was going.

“Says what you mean, Mr?”

The man took his breath back. He showed his heart at this moment.

“You don't have to pretend!”

I glanced cynically at him who was staring at me at this moment.

“I really don't understand what you mean. So, please speak directly to the point. I am not a psychic who can understand the meaning of the Father without the need for explanation at all,” I said in an annoyed tone.

I flicked my lips and muttered naggingly. I know he can still hear it even though my voice has made it as small as possible.

“My engagement with Vanya has just been cancelled.”

“Oh.”

Alexander squinted his eyes at me.

“You don't seem surprised at all. You don't wonder why? Or did you already know from the beginning the reason for the cancellation of my engagement with Vanya?” he asked with suspicion.

I'm shaking. I already knew their engagement would be cancelled, but I never knew the reason behind the cancellation of the engagement. The Jordan family shut him down and did not even let Timothee, who was also part of the family, know why.

“Then what do you mean say I will keep walking towards you no matter what will happen?”

I chuckled at the suspicious questions he had been asking ever since.

“I feel like I'm being interrogated by Father,” I said chuckling.

Alexander was silent. I could feel his gaze as if it was piercing me sharply.

“Just a guess. Turns right. You really walk towards me no matter what happens, even though I am still tied to the engagement rope with your brother. Funny thing is, your own brother seems not so interested in me, but still be betrothed to me.”

Alexander's feelings for me were a little awkward and disturbing. The man is the heir of the JJ Group. He would certainly be a priority for his family at this time, but he could not even express his desire for an arranged marriage with me and instead let his sister take over the matchmaking with me.

“Honestly, the feeling of the Father to me is like a mirage,” I said.

“It looked like an oasis in the desert, but it was just a hoax.”

Alexander gasped at what I just said.

“What do you mean?” tanyanya.

“Father acted as if very interested and wanted to have me before. But as soon as I offered him a chance, he refused. Now you come to me again as if you want to agree to the deal I offered before. I fear I will be fooled again this time,” I said as I stared at the ceiling.
