The door I opened earlier closed. I don't know when that man was standing behind me.

“Then how will you bear it?” the question is right in front of my ears.

I didn't turn around. I just kept quiet in my place. I was too nervous because we were this close. I knew clearly that I should have pushed the man, but I didn't.

The man turned his body. I turned to look at her as soon as I felt that her body was moving away to the back.

“Booking what does that mean, Mr?”

Alexander leaned his hips on the sofa behind him. He crossed his arms in front of his chest, then looked back flat at me.

Doubt approached me. I'm afraid I really failed to get it.

“You will definitely be blamed if your engagement to Timothee is cancelled. Especially if they know that you were already in a relationship with another man before your engagement was cancelled. It's even worse if they find out the man is Timothee's older brother. Are you sure you can bear it?”

I was silent for a moment. What he said is true. I will be the one to blame the most for the breakup of the engagement. But wouldn't my father still benefit from me continuing to date the son of the owner of JJ Group?

Alexander smiled a cynical smile. He stepped forward to approach me. I pushed my body back until it was tight at the door that was right behind me at this moment.

The man lowered his body so that his lips could align with mine. He supported his body by resting his palm on the door.

“If you think that JJ Group will still invest into your father's company, you better get rid of those stupid thoughts.”

I gasped at what the man had just whispered in my ear. He clearly knows what I'm thinking right now.

He returned to his body. He no longer aligns his lips with mine. His arms were crossed back in front of his chest.

“After the annulment of the engagement between you and Timothee, my parents would have a hard time accepting your presence in our family if the reason for the cancellation of your engagement was because you were having an affair. They'll hate you more for having an affair with me, who is clearly Timothee's older brother. They will think that you have teased me for not being satisfied with what you've been getting all this time.”

I was silent not to argue. What Alexander said is not entirely wrong. It would be difficult for me to get into his family if I was the guilty party and had my engagement and Timothee annulled.

If they hate me, it's not impossible that they will return to withdraw all the investments they have invested in my father's company. That would put my father's company on the verge of bankruptcy.

“Do you think only Timothee is engaged in my family at this time? I'm older than Timothee and will be the successor to JJ Group, of course the conversation about my marriage has been done long before your engagement talks with Timothee.”

I smiled looking at the man. I don't know about the fact that he's engaged to another woman. But I kept going because I knew that in the future their engagement would be cancelled, even though I never knew the reason behind the cancellation of the engagement.

Being Timothee's fiance didn't let me know everything that was going on in the Jordan family. Moreover, Timothee rarely talked about his family other than about him who was comparing himself with Alexander and how much he hated Alexander.

“What do you love him?” I asked with a look of disdain towards the man.

“Love is not so necessary in a business relationship like this,” he said.

I laughed blandly at what the man had just said. I could hardly believe that he was the same person who asked me what if he was my fiancee and not Timothee.

“So, I don't care if I'm engaged and married to someone else, whether it's Timothee or anyone else out there.”

The man's face hardened. He could not hide his dislike for what I just said.

“Again you will still walk towards me no matter what.”

Alexander chuckled at what I just said. He didn't seem to believe my words that weren't just nonsense.

“It seems you like me too much to hallucinate like that.”

The door behind me opened. A wavy blonde girl wearing a mini dress with a cleavage on her chest that showed two fat mounds of hers, walked in slowly. He was wearing bright red high heels.

He stared at me for a moment with a dislike. Then enter without permission.

“Honey!” he said as he walked towards Alexander, then hugged the man.

Alexander was flinched after being hugged suddenly by the girl I guessed was the male fiancee. The man only had a flat expression without returning the girl's embrace.

The girl turned around staring dislikefully at me while still hugging Alexander's body.

“Who is he?” tanyakanya.

Alexander just fell silent not answering. He didn't seem to want to straighten out the misunderstanding that was running through the girl's head. After all there was nothing to straighten out, as I did intend to snatch the girl's fiancee.

“Father remember my words well. If you come after this, I am not sure I will be able to receive you well as I have done before.”

“It's not polite to you!” yelled the girl.

“You are still a student at this campus right?”

Alexander who was defended by the girl was not grateful at all. He took off the girl's arms and pushed her body away from her.

He looked at me curiously as if waiting for me to say something. But I didn't want to act the way he expected.

I turned around, then walked out of the room leaving the two of them. I could hear the voice of the girl standing next to him grumbling because of my disrespectful attitude just now. At least I've tried to offer him a good deal.

“It's funny that he behaves that way, even though he can't deny at all that he has feelings for me.”
