Red Yarn (Oshi No Ko > Aqua X Kana)

Second Date

Warm winds still hit the terrace of the Arima family home. The two people who were linking their fingers together were busy staring at the night sky. It was dark, but the full moon and hundreds of stars decorated it beautifully there. Two cups of coffee almost out started to cool down on the table. A plate of chocolate cake is half as well.

Their date night this time was different. Kana who does not wear makeup, does not dress pretty even her clothes only replace with a nightgown. Her hair was allowed to unravel, swaying slowly.

Kana's head rested spoiled on Aqua's broad shoulders, while Aqua did not stop playing Kana's red hair. Light discussion starts from the favorite books they have read lately to the films they have long watched. The light laughter warmed the atmosphere that night, a smile continuously expanding on Aqua's cold face.

Aqua's gaze did not stop looking at Kana in amazement, occasionally she gently stroked the top of Kana's head. Kana's response was varied, sometimes shouting, blushing or turning into a wrong behavior.

"It looks like the coffee's over." Aqua grabbed her coffee cup. "It's getting late too, let's go into the room."

Aqua's hands extended before Cana, helping the girl to step into her room not far from the terrace. Kana's body temperature was still warm, but her face was no longer pale.

"I'm going to finish the rest of the food. You can lie down to rest" Aqua said.

It was as if something had exploded in Kana's heart, exploding incoherently. Dating Aqua was very unexpected. It would be sad to be home. But, Aqua treated him like a princess. He even went back up to the second floor to get food.

Aqua went back into Kana's room, carrying the laptop in her hand. He had a bottle of mineral water in his other hand. The smile did not stop expanding on his face. Sitting on Kana's bed after closing the door.

"As I said, we'll watch one movie before bed." Aqua opened her laptop, looking for a movie she was going to watch. "So, what movie do you want to see?"

"Anything," answered Kana changing position, leaning on the back of the mattress. "Or just the movie you're playing."

"Seriously?" Aqua asked back, she did not want to see her acting on Kana, it felt like she would get a lot of criticism. "What about the drama yesterday?"

"Can!" reply Kana excitedly. His gaze was now fixed on Aqua's laptop.

The drama is played by Aqua when she meets Kana for the first time after the news of her death. And because of the passing of him here, his feelings were increasingly convinced that the girl sitting next to him was the girl he loved.

"You're very clever." praise Kana without looking at Aqua. "When you met and taught you in the cage, you were very smart. I have no trouble at all." Kana reminisces about the time she went to the farm.

"You still work there?" ask Aqua.

"I guess I'll stop after this," Kana replied without wanting to stare at Aqua beside her. "I think a lot will change for me after my father's death."

"I'm sure it's still the best." Aqua tried to strengthen.

Kana smiled, nodding her head slowly. "I'm sure it is, too..."

The drama finished watching one episode and it was finally finished. Kana who was already sleepy finally laid down her body. Pull the blanket and get ready for bed. While Aqua was still in front of her laptop, opened the incoming e-mail.

"You don't need to sleep here anymore, A-kun. I've improved, won't be delirious anymore" Kana told Aqua beside her.

"Are you distracted?" ask Aqua.

"Yes, it's clear!" exclaiming Kana. "I've improved, so it's okay to sleep alone."

"I'm not gonna do anything weird, Kana." Aqua smiled convincingly. "I'm sleeping here too because I want to make sure you're okay."

"You're this, so stubborn!" sudang Kana, changing his position to turn his back on Aqua. "So you dare touch me!"

Refereeably, Kana felt very uncomfortable with Aqua beside her. The thing is he's conscious tonight plus his heart doesn't stop beating so fast. Aqua's treatment today really made her unable to think well. He knew the feeling that should have been lost was getting bigger.

The red thread on Kana's pinky extends. Just the breath that Kana did.

"Oyasumi.." said Kana.

"Oyasumi.." replied Aqua with a hand stroking Kana's head.

Karma didn't come home last night, he stayed at Ishigami's place. Because Aqua was in his house, so he felt a little calm. After all, if he was at home, he would only be a "mosquito" between two people in the middle of a kasmaran.

While it was early in the morning, Aqua had already bought some groceries and cooked them. Modal cooking and reckless video only. He made a beef burger for breakfast, that's because Kana hasn't eaten a burger in a long time.

"What time are you sleeping?" kana asked while cutting tomatoes.

"The great!" reply Cana. "I'm sure it must taste really good!" Kana pointed the beef over the teflon.

"I'm not sure, because it looks like my cooking skills are just like yours."

"Yes, but it doesn't matter... If you've been cooking, it's bad, I'll still eat!" exclaim Kana with passion.

"Well, but there's no need to lie if it's bad." Aqua sliced the beef she fried onto the plate. "It doesn't make progress for anyone else."

"Ah... But it makes the hearts of others happier. Because the bad cuisine was already felt the first bite. Although it must be honest, encouraging people who have cooked it is also okay, right?"

Aqua arranged bread, pickles, lettuce, beef with extra sauces with a smile. Hearing Kana's sentence just now, made Aqua realize that Kana had not changed. It's still like the old Cana. Kana who likes to make others happy, even though she does not like it.

"I don't think it's a problem once or twice, but if you're constantly lying just to please others, I don't think that's very good." Aqua replied to Kana.

"Yes, you're absolutely right!" reply Kana with hands patting Aqua's back. "Now you look like the father of the household. The apron you took is also why pink?"

"Household father?" Aqua repeated the sentence, holding back her laughter. "As long as you're the housewife of the Hoshino family, I'll make more food!"

Kana's hand immediately hit Aqua's back, her face quickly flushed red. It feels like Aqua's fighting is very, very excessive. And it feels more and more every day.

Eat together, watch a movie together, sleep together and most importantly, spend time together. From yesterday afternoon until the morning.

Both are clean and fragrant. After breakfast, Aqua invites Kana to leave the house. Not far away, he just wanted to take Kana in a breath of fresh air in the village. Bicycles surround the village.

Bicycles with baskets in the front and one bonfire in the back began their ride. Aqua looked at Kana who for the first time came out with a short-sleeved shirt plus a pink cardigan and a white knee-length skirt. Plus floppy hats, hats that are commonly worn for the summer.

"Beautiful..." Aqua muttered with her eyes fixed on Kana behind her. "Just hold my waist," Aqua continued as she pulled Kana's arm around her waist.

"What the hell! I can hold the bike seat!" Kana tries to pull her hand but Aqua holds her back.

"Let's go!" reply Aqua.

His feet pedaled his bicycle towards the village forest. In the summer wind that began to cool down, their hair swayed following the wind. The sound of bicycles filled the silence between the two. The greeting and laughter of the children playing sounded faint.

Entering the forest, Aqua stopped her bicycle by the river. The place where Kana used to take her with the kids. But, for today there is only himself and Cana alone.

"I didn't bring a change of clothes." Kana reminded while taking off her cardigan and shoes. Put it on the bike and step onto a big rock by the river.

"This place always feels special to me." Aqua sat down near Cana. Put his feet in the water. "There's a big, beautiful maple tree here."

Maple trees growing near the river dropped back some of their leaves. The leaves that fell into the river moved following the flow of water calmly. Just like Aqua who felt calm while sitting with Cana.

Since last night, Kana stuck a stamp on Aqua. Linking their fingers, sharing stories, sharing blankets even Aqua hugged Kana while sleeping. All this time, Aqua did not understand what love meant. And when he finds Kana, he realizes that his heart will soon be anchored.

"I'll be waiting for your answer in a week." Aqua smiled looking at Kana's face. "I will accept whatever your decision is. If indeed you still reject my feelings after this is not a problem for me. But be honest with yourself about how you feel."

"Thank you for the date. I really enjoyed it, even though it wasn't like dating people out there. But, you're so good at organizing all this." Kana smiling. "It's so much fun."

"Thank you also for accepting my silly invitation." Aqua held back her laughter.

His hand grabbed the maple leaves that fell near them. He gave it to Kana.

"As a gift that we once had an impromptu date here," Aqua said withholding her laughter. "Because usually if after a date there is a gift for her lover. But, because it's an impromptu so-"

"Arygato!" Kana grabbed the maple leaves from Aqua's hand. "I will keep it, even if it dries, I will keep it. As a gift from you, just like the white suitcase on our first date."

Aqua's face met red, hearing their first date years ago. Accompanying Kana to buy a new suitcase. On that day he wholeheartedly prepared everything, just like the restaurant he had reserved just to have a meal together with Kana. But, unexpectedly he was incited to not be close to Kana anymore because he was an idol. And instead dating Akane.

"At that time, I was still a labile teenager," Aqua refuted as she shifted her gaze.

The sound of Kana's laughter was now heard along with the gurgling of water. He patted Aqua's back slowly. The year in which Cana and Aqua become strangers for the first time. The year in which Cana felt the devastation of being shunned by Aqua for no apparent reason.

"It's okay, I've forgotten it. Yes, even though the pain is still felt. Just like the last months were like that." Kana smiled reassuringly to herself. "But, A-kun... If I reject you later, can we still be best friends?"

Aqua's face stiffened, hearing the question from Cana. He does not want to be rejected once in a while by Cana, because he knows how Kana feels about him. Will they become friends until they age?

"I have to get ready to go home!" reply Aqua and immediately stand down from the rock. Approaching his bike. "Come on Kana!" aqua exclaimed without wanting to look into the red-haired girl's eyes.
