Red Yarn (Oshi No Ko > Aqua X Kana)

Red Yarn (Oshi No Ko > Aqua X Kana)
Falsehood

Aqua choked on the food she was chewing. Staring at Kana with a shocked face. The crow girl he met in Miyazaki also met Kana?

"I heard all your stories and Ruby's from him, though not too long anyway." Kana stared at her nearly empty plate. "I met him, I also don't know if it was real or just a dream and my illusion. Because that time was suspended."

"Forget it…. Tell me about something you like." Aqua tried to calm down Kana who started shaking again.

Kana let out a rough breath. "That day I should have died." Kana held her chin. "I was just trying to keep moving and not lose to Hikaru. Just that, and I don't know where I fainted and woke up at my dad's clinic."

Aqua changed her position, facing towards Kana. "You don't have to tell it, if it hurts."

Kana chuckles softly. Recalling his story after struggling out of the building area Hikaru Kamiki that night alone with blood on his head, legs and hands and a long tear on his back. His feet tried to keep stepping, leaving his shoes at the end of the alley and again stepping outside the building without knowing the direction.

That night, if only Hikaru Kamiki had a crew and managed to capture Kana, then Kana would have been dead and harassed. Fortunately, he collapsed and was found by his father.

"I faked my own death. Because my mom will definitely be after my insurance. But, that day I managed to take my seal with my father at the funeral." Kana told in a flat voice. His eyes were empty meaningless. "After my death, I can live my life normally here."

"You faked it?" aqua asked in shock but in a flat tone, hiding her surprise.

"I'm sick of my mother always contacting my father and asking for approval to tell him about my death." Kana glanced at Aqua and reverted her gaze. "I'm free now, there's no cameras, negative comments, people are full of lies and there's no more fear here."

Kana's back-bribing her last rice.

Aqua smilingly looked at Kana, there was a sense of pleasure and pride for the plain and rough-mouthed prowess of the girl in front of her.

"You're so awesome, Arima. I'm so proud of you." Aqua praised Kana and again grabbed her glass, drinking it. "Live happily…."

Kana smiled faintly, Aqua's sentence sounded very sincere to her. "I'll stay here, when you get back to Tokyo there's no need to tell anyone about me."

Aqua shook her head, listening to Cana's words. He was already happy in a remote village with a very different job with him back in Tokyo. Even the way of dressing has also changed, no more beret hats that become the icon. Now long hair, toad shirts, sunglasses, black boxes and hats.

"You heard, right?" kana asked knocking on Aqua's table.

"Yes, I heard." Aqua answered while looking at Cana's hand. "May I visit you another time?"

Kana tidied up her cutlery, smiling. "It's up to you, I won't insist and stubbornly ask you to visit me."

"Where!" Karma sat before Cana and Aqua. Karma's eyes looked at Aqua dislikefully, he turned his gaze on Cana. "Go back there. Take medicine and take a nap!"

Aqua looked at Karma, watching the bespectacled young man with hair matching Kana before him expressionlessly.

"I want to go home to know!" reply Kana while standing with a dirty tray.

"Yes, go home. Don't play anymore!" karma exclaimed while scooping the rice into his mouth.

Aqua followed Kana. "Ey, who told you to stand up too!" Karma looked at Aqua seriously.

"What do you want? I'm done eating too."

Aqua and Karma threw cold glances at each other.

"I need to talk to you! So sit down again!" his orders.

"Did you learn manners? I seem to be older than you." Aqua replied that she did not want to lose.

"Who cares the oldest. I just want you to sit here." Karma stood up, looking at Aqua who was looking at her face with a cold and condescending look.

Kana clucked in annoyance. "I'll go home with him. You continue your lunch." Kana looked at Karma seriously.

Aqua stepped up to grab her tray followed by Kana behind her. Kana felt dizzy looking at Karma's behavior which was almost similar to Aqua. Plus Karma is rough-mouthed like her.

"She's my step-sister, her mother died ten years ago." Kana explained as she walked out of the dining area. "He's actually good, but he can't just say it."

"Yes, no problem. I just need to get used to his attitude." Aqua replied to Kana.

Kana and Aqua fell silent, they were drowning with their own thoughts.

...****************...

"You should see Yunyun!" exclaim Karma as Kana exits the gate. Kana gave her thumb while smiling broadly towards Karma.

"Looks like your brother has siscon." Aqua gave her response after seeing Karma's treatment of Cana.

"Some siscon can know right away!" Kana mocked Aqua with a face of sumringah. "So, when are you going to marry Ruby?"

Aqua looked at Kana who was standing beside her. "Do you expect me to marry Ruby?"

"Yes, you and Ruby are tied up in the past. So, maybe you will continue your love story" Kana said as she looked up at the sky with her hands pressed against her chin.

"But my past and my present self…." Aqua stopped her sentence, trying to process her words to Kana. "It's like it's not connected."

Kana glanced at Aqua not wanting to respond more. Because he did not understand being in Aqua's position. "But that's a promise, right?"

Aqua stopped her steps. Staring at Kana with an indecipherable look. And stepping back, there was something that Aqua herself could not decipher. Kana's words suddenly hurt her.

They went around the village which began to be crowded with children playing on empty land. Play ball for men while girls gather picking flowers before it is exhausted by the season.

"Funny right?" kana asked when they arrived at a small pendopo in the middle of the park.

Aqua sat down and nodded, after nearly half an hour they circled the village with their feet. Kana massaged his feet slowly.

"What role are you going to play in your new drama?" kana asked with eyes focused on both her legs.

"The role of a cheerful, hardworking but pessimistic rancher." Aqua answered while leaning her back against the wall.

"Then what did you learn here?" ask Kana again.

"I just learned to raise, to get used to cows, horses, chickens, goats and pigs. The activities I got later, feeding, bathing, milking, collecting eggs, horse riding and the rest of the daily activities with mild conflict and mild romance of the village." Aqua explained as she looked at Kana. "You don't want to act anymore?"

Kana smiled faintly, there was a sad look from her eyes. "If I don't want to."

"You can show up in public and say that your death was a lie. And you can go back to doing what you like" Aqua said.

"I'm not the old me." Kana looked at both of her hands. "My body is already very weak, my trauma can come out at any time, and my pessimism and fear are getting worse."

Aqua looked for the meaning of Kana's gaze. "I'll support you."

"You always say that to anyone. But, I can't go back to standing in front of the camera." Kana averted her gaze, after trying to stare at Aqua.

Aqua wet her lips nervously, Kana is quite difficult to be able to be confident. He was good at assessing his and the surrounding abilities, so Aqua did not know what else to say for this time.

"Then you have to support me." Aqua smiled at Kana.

"Huh?"

"You can help me to animate the roles I get in your way. I'll easily learn from you, like you said my acting ways are just imitating and doing it. But, I don't really understand how acting shines like you."

Kana turned her face, looking at Aqua in disbelief. "You want me to teach you? You're even more famous than me!"

Aqua approached Cana, standing before Cana who was sitting on a chair. Aqua sat under the chair, with her right leg as the pedestal.

"Do you know the character I've been getting all this time? The character I played in this new drama is very much different from my true nature. And I believe you can help me."

Cana crossed her legs, taking her eyes off Aqua who was resting beneath her. "Tanpaku you've been so great. I refuse!"

Aqua smiled widely. "I love the acting of Arima Kana who shines like the sun. You're so amazing when you act, all eyes can't seem to run from your gaze. Do you know that?"

"I can't be like that anymore. I stopped acting anyway and left that world." Kana folded her hands under her chest.

"I'm not sure you can't, the proof is that you can still talk to me, despite shaking so many times. This is a form of acting, right? You play yourself accompanying your old friend." Aqua gave an explanation. "This time I'll be stubborn. So please help me. Be my coach." Aqua stood up and bowed to Kana.

"Whatever! Anyway I don't want to!"
