Valuable Friend

Aqua's crying act became the final scene for the Gotanda-directed film. Break the tears of Aqua when playing the main character named Alan who knows his partner died to save himself. Aqua did not stop crying even after director Gotanda shouted "CUT" very loudly.

Two months already filming with the action genre was done. The last scene was a cover as well. The film will be released during the summer holidays. 

Gotanda patted the back of Aqua who was still sobbing. It was hard to stop crying. Her tears had imagined the death of Kana who if indeed Kana died without living again. And he still hoped that Kana would contact him because Aqua had not contacted Kana again for two months.

Aqua went into the bathroom washing her face with water. His face was already red with slightly swollen eyes, even his voice was already hoarse from shouting and crying.

After the day of Miyako's questions, Aqua realizes that she must continue to bury her feelings for Kana. He realized that Cana was doing the same thing, staying away from Aqua was Cana's way of not liking Aqua anymore. Plus Kana had already cut off the red thread with Aqua. 

Heartache. Aqua did not want to take this for granted without any clarity. Aqua just wanted him to remain a friend to Kana so instead. But why did Kana just stay away from him? Why did he never contact her? Didn't ask how. The relationship between Karma and Aqua is fine. They still go together to the gym, Aqua trying to find answers from Karma. But, Karma does not seem to know more about Kana because she does not live together.

"We're going on a trip to Kyoto!" exclaim Gotanda with passion. "Trip for five days. So get ready, to celebrate the completion of our film!"

"Where!" call Karma when you see Kana who has been silent since the return of Karma two days ago.

Unlike usual, Kana just keeps quiet with the radio on the table, plays the radio and sometimes taps the radio slowly because of boredom. The notebook that opened there were no ink scratches there. It's been almost all day Kana just sitting pensive, not wanting to prepare food or clean the house.

"Why the hell?" ask Karma and immediately take a position in front of Kana. Turn off the radio that had been disrupting his hearing since morning. "What do you want to hear? News about what?"

"Nothing," replied Kana, closing her notebook.

"You haven't contacted Aqua yet?" ask Karma again.

Not answering, Kana stood up. He avoided the question of Aqua being addressed to him. Even when Karma came home from Tokyo, the lines of the question continued to be asked Karma.

"Splitting down your own friends does it feel good to you? The Aqua asks you every day how you are doing with me, why not just call her anyway?" asked Karma anxiously, he held Cana's arm to sit beside him.

"It's none of your business..." Kana tries to take off Karma's hand on her arm.

"Yes, but it bothers me. Don't you feel sorry for your friend? He said you're friends, right..." Karma forcefully pulls Kana, a second later the girl sits next to him. "Just ignore..."

"We didn't fight," replied Kana flatly.

"Continue what? Not picking up the phone from Aqua for days, it hurt her." Karma made his comment.

"If the more familiar will hurt him the more," replied Kana, she lowered her head.

Karma's hand gently stroked the top of Kana's head. "You like it, huh?" whispers of Karma in Cana's ear.

"No!" kana replied quickly with a shrill voice. "Not at all!"

"Lied away!" ledek Karma, aware of Akino's arrival in the living room, immediately stood up Karma. "Dad, it seems like Cana silenced Aqua for a very long time. Isn't Cana a child?"

"You don't understand!" Kana stood up and pointed at Karma with a red face, holding back her emotions. "Nobody understands me!"

The living room was quiet, only the sound of clockwork ticking. The sound of Kana's breath hunting, and finally crying.

"What made you come like this, Kana?" akino asked as she hugged Kana, trying to calm her little girl who was already a grown woman. "Aqua is innocent, he accepted and followed all your requests. He's a good friend to you, so why don't you call him?"

Kana's voice grew louder. Kana never wanted to express all her complaints to Akino, she just conveyed some important things without wanting to tell her true feelings. About the red thread he had said, Akino did not get a reason from Kana why to break it and everything that Kana asked for without giving a clear reason.

"Apologies are no big deal. Getting back close to your friends is no big deal either. Dodging him would only make a wound, he's your only friend right?" Akino kissed the top of Kana's head gently.

"So, let's apologize and call Aqua, so you can continue to have friends as good as her."

Preparations for a vacation to Kyoto make Aqua have to accompany Ruby to buy new clothes, bags and suitcases again. Aqua until not understand with her twin brother who likes to buy something that can still be used.

"I'll buy all that pink!" exclaim Ruby with passion. "You should also buy new clothes!" exciting Ruby.

Aqua had no intention of shopping, she was just waiting outside the store with her hands full of Ruby's groceries. Aqua again grabbed her phone. Karma says that she went home, while Aqua says she was shopping for clothes to accompany Ruby. 

Reluctant to ask Cana news from Karma. He was tired of fighting. Kana doesn't want to be fought either. So, futile. Aqua felt that Kana should soon be forgotten, somehow. What about having a lover? Or by staying away like this. Aqua just wants Kana to remain her friend, how eventually they won't be together for Aqua's lovers no matter what. But, he only wanted Kana to be his friend.

Karma suddenly contacted Aqua, without lingering Aqua immediately picked her up. Aqua said a greeting to Karma, but from the other end of the phone there was no reply.

Aqua's legs were squeezed, she sat leaning against the mall wall. It felt like she wanted to cry, how long it had felt for her not to hear Kana's voice. 

"Why did you just call me? You know how long I've been worried!" aqua half shouted.

The people who passed by, looked at Aqua in wonder. Ruby got up to stand up to Aqua for fear that she was running amok on someone else, but she was on the phone.

"Why is this like this to me?" aqua asked in a sad tone, she crouched down covering her already reddened face. "Said you were my friend, said you were my friend…"

Ruby stood behind Aqua, wanting to hug her, like her brother hugging Ruby every time she cried. However, he did not.

"Why not answer?" aqua asked in a soft voice and sounded full of wounds.

"I'll still be your friend, I was upset yesterday."

Aqua looked at her phone, "Why are you getting so far away from me." Aqua put the phone back in her ear. "You didn't answer my phone and just now you're calling me! You know it hurts me!" 

Kana laughed softly. "Dad and Karma forced me to apologize to you. Fellow huh? Okay, I'm sorry."

"Very like a boy!" exclaim Aqua annoyed.

Laughter laughed again. "Yes, I'm like a kid. Sorry yes. Anyway I'm sorry. I won't repeat it again."

"I'll call you later tonight, you gotta pick up!" force Aqua.

"I'll work it out." Kana laughed softly. "I'm getting ready for a walk with Karma and dad. So, I'm afraid I'm busy and can't pick up the phone from you."

"Where?" aqua's face changed instantly.

"To somewhere! Anyway out of the village. So, I need to mentally prepare myself as strong as steel and mouth as sharp as the tip of an arrow."

Aqua closed her mouth, laughing softly. "It's so ugly."

"Whisper!" peekik Cana's. "Then I'll see you again!" 

"Yes, I'll see you later…"

Aqua stood up, grabbing all of Ruby's shopping bags. How shocked he was to find Ruby behind him. Luckily Aqua immediately put on her mask and sunglasses so that her red face and red eyes do not look Ruby.

But, Ruby had stood up and heard Aqua's conversation since earlier. Although she does not know who Aqua is talking to, Ruby sees Aqua's phone contacting Karma.

Ruby smiled, grabbing Aqua's arm with the shopping bag in her other hand. His hands were tightly coiled. As if not to let go of Aqua.

"You want to buy something?" ask Ruby to Aqua.

Aqua entered the shop, Ruby followed Aqua's steps. They stopped in front of a white sports jacket and immediately grabbed it, took it to the cashier and paid for it.

"For whom?" ask Ruby.

"For my friend I told you about. He didn't call me for 2 months and he just called me again, so I'll send this to my apology." Aqua replied without wanting to look at Ruby. There was a faint smile on Aqua's face, a happiness for her for having made peace with Kana.

"You don't want to choose another? You took it without seeing anything else." Ruby asked again.

"No need, I'm sure he'll accept without nagging." 

"Why is that?" ruby asked confusedly.

"Because I'm usually the one who's gonna nag not to protest." Aqua smiled saying that line. "Maybe you're asking why I'm like this. He's my best friend, so I get hurt when he walks away from me. I only have him as my friend, who accepts me even down to all my lies."

Ruby looked at Aqua, wrapping her hands around Aqua's arms. "Yes, you only have a few friends. She must be very precious to you, onii-chan."

Aqua stroked Ruby's head gently. "Very!" reply Aqua.

There was pain in Ruby's heart when she saw Aqua smiling so sincerely like that. I don't know who her friend was, but Ruby felt that Aqua was not just a friend. And hopefully Ruby can hold her love for Gorou again, because all this time Ruby tried very hard to forget Gorou who had been residing in Aqua's body.
