Just Friends

Aqua woke up after hearing the alarm from her cell phone. Something warm he felt in his hand. His gaze shifted to Kana who was already asleep under the sofa where Aqua was sleeping. Cana's hand was tied to her hand. Aqua tries to remember the incident last night, she is just having a nightmare, but she does not expect Kana to fall asleep under the sofa and continue to hold her hand.

Only with a carpet pad with a cushion sofa, without a blanket. His clothes were too open. Aqua tried to envelop Kana with a blanket on her body.

Kana awakens, aware that something is moving nearby.

"You awake?" kana asked and immediately changed her position, sitting under the sofa staring at Aqua on the sofa. "I'll get you some water to drink first." Kana moved from her position to the kitchen.

"Arima.." Aqua called out to Cana who had approached her with a glass of water. "Why don't you sleep in the room?"

Cana poured water on Aqua. "You were yelling last night. So, I woke up. Then I approached you, your face was pale and wet, you must have been a nightmare huh?" 

Aqua grabbed a glass and drank it, looking at Kana who was sitting next to her. "Am I delirious?"

"Yes of course! I was shocked and almost hit your head. You keep yelling please! Help u! Who doesn't panic." Kana answered while demonstrating Aqua's expression last night.

"You slept under the couch because of me, too?" 

"Yes, you didn't let go of your hand, but I think you were calm enough last night." Kana answered again. "Now I can get the flu because of you!" Kana stood stroking her hands that were without cloth because she had just felt the coldness of the room.

Aqua shook her head, she looked at Cana's words. Nightmares are often experienced. And for this night's worst and creepy. Usually not to scream, and he will soon wake up, realizing that he is dreaming.

Now Aqua turned her eyes to Kana who had entered the room, seemingly continuing her sleep. There was a feeling of guilt for making Kana have to be cold last night. But, Aqua did not understand how she could remain asleep after the nightmare without waking up.

"Generic…." Aqua knocked on Kana's room door. There is no reply from within. 

Feeling unwell, Aqua ordered breakfast from a meal delivery. Fearing that Kana had the flu, Aqua ordered a special abalone soup for Kana.

After the order came, Aqua arranged it on the dining table that fused with the kitchen. As the day wore on, Aqua began to clean up, waiting for Kana to wake up to prepare for training.

Kana finally wakes up, grabs a towel to take a bath. After finishing the bath, he immediately stepped into the kitchen, remembering Aqua was still at his house.

"Let's have breakfast." Aqua looked at Kana who was already standing by the dining table.

"Hoho…. I just wanted to order some food. It seems there is a yes." Kana immediately sat her body on the chair next to Aqua. "Itadakimasu!" Kana exclaimed and immediately devoured the soup Aqua ordered.

"Are you feeling well today?" ask Aqua. Kana just nodded and did not care about Aqua's sentence to her. 

Sleeping without a mattress and blanket, making his body sick. Not to mention, he has to rehearse today for B-Komachi's first concert tomorrow. Very tiring. 

"Generic…." Aqua called out to Kana after finishing breakfast. Kana just quietly replied, and went back to checking her phone. "Let's go together to the training ground."

Kana shook her head in a sign of refusal. "Go there first. I don't want to be showered with questions from your sister." 

"Then I go first." Aqua stood up and stepped closer to the sofa, tidying up her luggage.

"Yes, careful!" kana exclaimed as she glanced at Aqua and refocused on her phone.

Aqua looked at Kana who was not standing to take her. Kana's feelings for her had already begun to fade or Aqua was really only considered a friend by Kana. 

"I'm leaving!" aqua exclaimed as she glanced at the smiling Kana staring at her phone.

"Be careful.  Look out for your sister being caught playing in my house…." Kana chuckled without looking at Aqua.

Feeling unnoticed Aqua approached Kana, reaching for Kana's phone which she had been holding. A message from director Shima saying that Arima Kana got a big job in the latest film.

"Return!" kana yelled trying to reach her phone. "Since you've seen, then I'll tell you that I'll be the lead in one of the movies. Tomorrow after the concert I'll meet the production team."

"Have you told Director Ma?" ask Aqua.

"I plan today to say it." Kana answered and checked her phone again.

"Arima.." Aqua called out to Cana again this time she brought her face closer to Cana's ear. "Did you do something with Director Shima?"

Kana swerved, her hand quickly hitting Aqua's head with all her might. "You're crazy!" kana shouted right at Aqua's ear. "But, almost the hell…."

"Almost?" Aqua changed her position, her facial expression turning cold. He stepped away from Kana in the pantry. "I don't believe it…"

"There's no way I'm jealous of a rough-mouthed girl like you!" aqua replied without looking at Kana.

Kana laughed and immediately tidied up her things, preparing to leave. "Let's go together!"

Aqua stepped ahead of Cana, leaving Cana still prepared with her goods. Get out the door of the apartment, with all clothes covered. The two simply walked side by side after that into a taxi to Strawberry Production.

Kana is busy with her phone. He continued to respond to the chat from Mr. Director, Aqua was just busy reading the new script for the movie he got as well. No talks during the trip to the agency. Kana is busy looking at her phone and reading the comments on Youtube B-Komachi.

"Dead there.." said Kana after reading his haters comments in the comments column.

"You always swear by that word huh?" aqua asked without turning her eyes. "What if what you say really happens to the person you swear by. Don't you feel guilty?"

Kana looked at Aqua in wonder. "Either…. People always make negative comments about me. Comparing myself to others. So, I shouldn't care, but I can't!"

Aqua closed her manuscript. "But if the person you're talking to is really dead, how is it?"

Kana shifted her eyes. "Looks like you want to talk to me about your idea of revenge again, huh? Just take Kurokawa Akane, your lover back then, it looks like she will be of great help to you."

Aqua changed her position, leaning her head on Cana's shoulder. "Just a moment…."

Kana who initially wanted to hit Aqua's head ended up just staying silent because of the request from Aqua.

"Arima.." call Aqua. Kana looked at Aqua's face which was closing her eyes. "Are you going to be my friend if I kill my father?"

Kana shifted her eyes. Friends…. Kana has always been a friend to Aqua. It turns out that Kana's feelings all along will only end as a friend. Aqua did not put any more feelings on him, as she did on Aqua.

"I don't support revenge by killing others. But, if you insist and are sure to accept all the risks, then I can't prevent you." Aqua opened her eyes, looking at Kana's white and petite face that looked sad. "I'll be your friend even if the tittle you have is no longer the famous actor Aquamarine Hoshino."

A thread of tears came out from Kana's eyes. The girl's sight was already thrown out the window of the taxi. There was a sense of tightness in his chest. Tight with two things. First, he could not help his friend and secondly, he realized his feelings during this time were only one-sided.

"Arigatou.." whispered Aqua. 

His gaze did not stop staring at Kana. He pulled his head from Kana's shoulder. The girl sounded slow. Guilt now filled his heart. Arima Kana is her best friend at the moment. Even all these early paths, Arima Kana led him. Aqua felt she just kept hurting Kana.

Last day training is just mental. Kana has met Miyako in her room, saying she will get a new film project from Director Shima Masanori.

"Yes, you can leave at 8pm after the concert is over. But, Kana-chan I need to drive you." Miyako gave her response. "Watching a grown man alone isn't scary?"

"We're going to meet the production team, so you don't have to worry, Miyako-san." Kana smiled convincingly.

"You really like acting." Miyako returned Kana's smile and immediately stood out from her room.

Kana exited the room Miyako stopped after hearing Ruby and Aqua were inside the training room.

"Oni-chan!" Ruby exclaimed half-screaming. "Daisuki! How many times do I have to say it? Didn't you promise to marry me first, sensei!"

"I told you, didn't I? We're twin brothers, even though in a previous life you and I were bound by a promise." Aqua tried to explain her feelings to Ruby.

"But you promised me! Even you've said that we're alive again!" ruby's voice sounded vibrating. "I just want to live with you…."

Kana immediately hid behind the wall, avoiding Ruby who had stepped out while crying. While Aqua in the room just stared at Ruby's departure.

"Now, I wish I was the one who died…." Kana whispers. It felt extremely shocked, hearing the expressions of those two one-blood humans. Saying love and the fact they are human beings living again.

Kana stepped away from the training room. Today he seemed to have been rejected twice. The heartache is endless. His feelings for Aqua must be stopped immediately before it gets bigger and hurts him more.
