Red Yarn

The Ishigami farm is already full of workers. There have been many workers who clean the stables, push the straw-filled stroller, and some are even busy giving drinks to calves, goats and pigs.

Nearly three-quarters of the village's farms are farms and farms owned by the Ishigami family. Cages of cows, goats, chickens, pigs and horses were there. Plus a very extensive horse training field.

Ishigami Yuu was known as a quiet young man initially before moving to the village. But, after he mingles with the villagers, Ishigami is famous as a wise and light-handed leader.

"Did you see that mother cow Kana-chan?" ishigami asked while pointing at the female cow that was heavily pregnant. 

"Will she give birth?" ask Kana again.

"Tomorrow or the day after her estimate. You want to help me get the baby cow out, right?"

Kana put on a shocked face mixed with fear. "I've never seen it in person, so I'll help take care of it after the kid's out." Kana glanced at Aqua who was drinking her canned drink. "Aqua can help, he's not afraid and can do it. So, just ask Aqua for help."

Aqua glanced at Kana and Ishigami, pretending not to hear the two people's conversation.

"You're still afraid of Kana-chan's blood?" ishigami asked, changing his sitting position by crossing his legs.

"When I came by the moon, I trembled to clean her blood. Let alone seeing another blood." Kana shakes fear.

"Well, I'll ask for some other help." Ishigami stood up, thrusting a cold drink at Kana then left. Ishigami stroked the top of Kana's head. "Thank you…."

"What thank you, I just can't help" whispered Kana sadly. 

Aqua glanced at Kana next to her, Kana forgot that she was with Aqua since earlier. Kana stepped out of the cow pen. Aqua tried to follow Kana behind her. It seemed like Kana was focusing on her own thoughts, not even realizing that they had arrived in front of the Arima family home. 

"Oh... Ah-kun, are you going in?" ask Kana. Aqua entered the deserted house of Cana.

Sitting on the couch with feet on the table. Kana's mood changes only because of meeting Ishigami. Even he seemed to have no desire to talk or do other activities.

"You want to sleep?" aqua asked as she sat in front of Cana.

Kana shook her head slowly, she looked at Aqua seriously. "Ah-kun, what do you feel when you are revived?"

"What do you mean?" Aqua asked back.

Feeling that her question was quite sensitive, Kana lowered her feet from the table, looking at Aqua seriously. "Leave you answer what's the trouble? I just wanted to ask you to know!" 

"Don't believe it, but after I found out my life's purpose when I became Aqua Hoshino for revenge, I became excited."

"Your life's goal is to get revenge?" kana asked confused. Aqua nodded slowly. "Junk…."

Aqua rounded her eyes hearing Cana's sentence just now. "Yes, it's like shit."

"You're revived because you deserve it!" exclaimed Kana was annoyed looking at Aqua. "Not for revenge! And lucky you didn't kill anyone else."

"Why do you look so upset? Last night you didn't even discuss something like this with me." Aqua looked at the astonished Kana who was still standing before her.

"Forget it. I won't discuss anything weird with you anymore." Kana put her body on the sofa. "If you think you're reliving it just for revenge you're wrong. You are revived to make your own happiness, Ah-kun.." Kana closed her eyes.

Aqua looked at Kana expressionlessly. He digested the words of Kana slowly.

"Arima.." call Aqua.

"Yes" said Kana softly as she kept her eyes closed.

"No, I have a promise with the crow girl and my father to live happily." Kana answered.

Aqua approached Cana, sitting next to Cana. Sitting under the sofa, looking at Kana with a hard to decipher gaze.

"I can't keep my promise to Ruby. Will it make me happy?" aqua asked as she looked at Cana in front of her. His hand held Kana's red hair. "You asked me that, right? And I answer it now."

Aqua's voice was soft and felt close to Cana's ear. The red-haired girl turned her head, opened her eyes, finding Aqua's face close to hers. Their breath sounds heard from each other. Aqua's expression could not be explained.

"But your red thread is on Ruby." Kana explained. "So far as you try to run, you'll come back to him." Kana changed her position, sitting looking at Aqua. Kana stroked Aqua's head gently. "Your age and my age without your reincarnation, I'm older. But, long life is still you longer."

"Red yarn?"

Kana raised her left little finger. "Yes, the red thread is like a bond with our true love. Have you heard of that?"

"Early, but not so understanding." Aqua replied.

"I can see everyone's red thread. Including yours," explained Kana while laying her body again on the sofa.

Still observing Kana, Aqua thought of Kana's sentence just now. "What happens if I don't want to be with my common thread."

"You won't succeed with any of your other loves besides your soulmate." Kana smiled looking back at Aqua's beautiful blue eyes.

"What about your red thread?" ask Aqua to Kana.

"I traded it for my life." Kana answered almost laughing.

"So? You don't have a soulmate?" asked Aqua in shock.

Kana laughed at Aqua's shocked expression which Kana thought was very funny. Cana's hand pinched Aqua's cheek in a fit of anxiety. Aqua brushed off Kana's hand, holding her hand with a serious face.

"I seriously asked. You traded your life for your soulmate?" Aqua's eyes flashed, her face seriously staring at Kana.

"You don't feel guilty about me anymore, do you?" 

The serious gaze Aqua gave this time, she did not reply and still held Cana's arm, not taking her eyes off of Cana's gaze at her. Overnight, after last night, Aqua did feel better. Feeling guilty and overwhelmed or suffering when you see Kana is gone. But, the feeling he had buried all this time began to be torn apart again.

"I cut off my red thread, because I think my soulmate would be happy if it wasn't with me. I was worried that a girl hiding in the village like me would have her dreams hampered, so I didn't have to be selfish to get them. I have lived twice I am thankful." Kana answered while looking at Aqua with a meaningful look.

Cana's hand stroked Aqua's head. "I will forget about your reincarnation problem from now on, so you should live happily as well A-kun."

Aqua took Cana's hand out of her grasp. Kana's words made her fall so deep. Aqua clearly did not know who Kana's soulmate was. But, breaking the common thread because he did not want his soulmate to suffer was much more cruel. 

"We will continue to be friends and will only become friends, A-kun. I realized that I used to almost every day cranky, angry, upset, sad, crying because I liked you. But, now you don't have to worry about that. I really consider you my friend from now on." Kana smiled broadly, her eyes not daring to look at Aqua. Kana stood up and stepped into her room.

"Friends.." whispered Aqua. 

When the sense Aqua wanted to admit to Cana appeared, Kana turned away from her. And saying that they were just friends, just like Aqua had said before. It was painful, Aqua's chest tightness. He can't understand why it hurts this much, hearing the word 'friend' from the mouth of the person you like.

"What time did it hurt like this, Arima? Until you cry?" aqua asked with watery eyes.
