Red Yarn (Oshi No Ko > Aqua X Kana)

Traumatizing

"Itadakimasu!" exclaimed Kana while eating his homemade sandwich greedily. "Why are you eating my food like it's your favorite?"

"I can't cook either, so I appreciate the person who gave me food." Aqua ate her sandwich. "I can't believe you're gonna learn to cook and even write the recipe. In the past, you would have bought food outside via delivery messages."

"Yes that was before... There is also no food delivery service. I live with Karma who every day curses me for not cooking!" reply Kana with a loud voice.

"Basic won't lose!" exclaim Aqua with a smile. "You've improved?" aqua asked as she looked at Cana in front of her.

"Already! Take it easy, I won't just die knowing! It's just because it's dark." Kana gave a wide smile with her neat rows of teeth.

"Thank God then." Aqua grabbed her milk glass. "When did your father come home?"

"Front week."

"I'll stay the night while your father's gone, do you mind?" aqua asked after sipping milk from her glass.

With a cheerful face, Kana looked at Aqua in disbelief. "really?" Aqua nodded her head. "Okay, go ahead! I'm glad someone's with me." He put his last sandwich in his mouth.

"Other than dark, is there anything else that makes you faint like last night?" ask Aqua.

"Many…." Kana grabbed her milk glass, staring at the milk inside the glass. He breathed out slowly.

The trauma and fear he felt, sometimes came back to haunt him. But, Kana was already almost able to control herself. He also learned how to relax all his fears.

"You can tell me so I can take good care of you."

"For what? Take good care of me!" Kana confirmed the position of her glasses. "You're a playboy!" 

"I panicked all night and I was worried you'd be like that again."

Kana stared at her empty plate. "Do I look pathetic?"

His voice sounded again trembling. He did not know what to explain to Aqua. Or he just had to keep it to himself and this blue-eyed man didn't need to know.

"Do I look pathetic?" ask Kana again. "I was so pathetic indeed." Kana grabbed the plate on the table. "You're asking me what makes me so scared or even faint?" kana asked with wet eyes looking at Aqua.

"I don't see you pathetic." Aqua finally answered flatly. Last night he was even very panicked and worried to see the frightened Kana.

Aqua stood up to Kana, grabbing the plate and glass in Kana's hand. Aqua was worried that Kana was throwing plates and glasses on the floor and causing a lot of shards there. While Aqua went to the kitchen Kana sat back in her chair, bowing her head. 

"You can be honest that I'm pathetic!" exclaim Kana from her place.

Don't want to answer questions from Kana. Aqua turns on the water faucet and washes the dishes. He stared at Kana once in a while, making sure she wasn't doing scary things.

"Why should you lie!" exclaiming Kana looked at Aqua from where she was sitting. "Your eyes say I'm pathetic!"

Aqua's question turns out to be very sensitive to Kana. Even to the point of making Kana feel herself the saddest person. Aqua put the clean plates and glasses in place, stepped closer to Kana, sitting in front of the girl who looked very emotional.

"You always lie! I know you must think I'm pathetic, right? You must think so, right? That's why you ask me what scares me!" Kana tries to breathe in the middle of her emotions on Aqua.

"You're not pathetic, Arima…." Aqua replied calmly. "Every time I see you now, I always think that the sad is me."

Kana looked at Aqua annoyed. "You are the prettiest person to know! You don't even know me very well, you say as if you've known me for two years." Kana stood up from her seat. "Better just tell me I'm pathetic, don't comfort me. You've always been like that, to the point of making me always misunderstand. You were just using me."

Aqua stood up, returning Kana's gaze to her. "I'm not comforting you, but I'm saying this seriously. You are so great, strong and hardworking. I've never seen you pathetic."

"Yes, thank you for your entertainment, friend."

"What's wrong with worrying? I've never seen you like a pathetic girl. Ever since I was a kid I've always seen you as a great person." Aqua approached Kana. "I've always loved the hard-working Arima Kana and never gave up."

Kana stopped her steps, looking at Aqua. "Then why are you asking me what makes me faint?"

"I'm worried," Aqua replied looking in Kana's eyes with a sad look. "I don't want to see you hurt again…."

"Forget it, I can misunderstand if you keep being nice to me with sweet words." Kana went into her room.

After breakfast Kana did not greet Aqua. He just waited for Aqua to finish and exited the house together after locking the door. Kana steps ahead of Aqua to Ishigami Farm, a conversation this morning ruining the mood of the red-haired girl.

"I heard that Ishigami-san's cow is going to give birth?" tanya Aqua opened the conversation.

Aqua's footsteps widened, she tried to chase after Cana who had gone before her. Handling the craving Cana was difficult for Aqua. She had not been talked to for days, and had to disguise herself with a mask to get Kana to talk to her again. Now Kana's crashing again.

"I'll help Ishigami-san." Aqua looked at Kana beside her.

"Help, you're an obstetrician!" ketus Kana widened his steps towards the cow pen.

There was a sense of sadness and disappointment at the same time in Aqua's heart, she did not expect the question at breakfast to be very offensive to Cana, even though the purpose of the question was so that Aqua could take good care of Cana.

Arriving at the cattle ranch, Kana immediately took the stroller and filled it with food. Aqua took the stroller, did the thing that Kana taught her yesterday. He went into the barn and fed the cows. Elsewhere, Ishigami was assisted by several other workers who were helping with cow labor.

Ishigami caresses the cow's stomach, while Aqua approaches Ishigami out of curiosity with the calf's delivery. While waiting, Ishigami checks on the progress of the cows. And soon the cow's nose and calf's head (fetus) along with her shoulders finally came out. The mother cow has sniffed the fetus, the calf.

The blood came out so much, the cow pen used for the cow labor was not far from the cage that Cana handled. Because of the crowd, the curious Kana came to see from a distance. Regretting that he had followed his curiosity, he immediately turned his body and walked out of the cow delivery place.

The smell of blood pierced his kiss, there was nausea from Kana's stomach. His head was suddenly dizzy, his breathing was tight, as if someone was smothering his nose.

"Ooweeek!" kana's shout succeeded in making one cage turn its gaze towards Kana.

Kana's face paled, all the food she ate this morning came out all. His head felt heavier, his vision blurred. Kana tried to step out of the cage. The profuse blood with the rancid smell continued to disturb his mind. 

Hikaru Kamiki's face approached him. A face full of blood in her eyes, a terrible grin, and her heavy voice filled Kana's mind. 

Kana tried to cover her mouth that was about to vomit a second time. His other hand hit his chest to keep breathing normally. Cold sweat had already been his body, a face that was getting pale, with sweat drenching his entire face. 

A clashing sound rang out after Kana's head precisely hit the iron entrance of the cage. Kana lay unconscious with a body that continued to tremble and pale.

Aqua ran up to Kana, trying to resuscitate Kana. Kana's incident was too fast, just because of a lot of blood, he immediately fainted even to vomit all his stomach contents. Kana's hand gripped Aqua's shirt firmly, her eyes half-open with tears dripping down. 

"Please, don't kill me." whispered Kana before her eyes closed perfectly.

Deftly, Aqua grabbed the wet towel and cleared away the sweat on Kana's face. Ishigami's wife came with a change of clothes for Kana.

Ever since Kana collapsed in the cage, Aqua brought Kana to her room at the Ishigami inn. Because the closest distance from the cage is only Ishigami lodging. Aqua's feelings were mixed, especially after hearing Kana's words not to kill her, further rendering Aqua helpless.

"Kana-chan just needs rest and a sedative." Ishigami sits next to Aqua who looks frustrated. "Arima-sensei told me to help you take care of Kana-chan."

Aqua was silent, listening to Ishigami's words. Kana's face on the farm was still filling her mind. In the near future, Aqua sees the weakest side of Kana that all happened due to a murder case two years ago.

"You don't have to worry too much. He'll be fine." Ishigami stood up, when he saw his wife coming out of Aqua's room.

It was already lying on Aqua's bed. Kana has also changed the white sleeping dress, a blanket covering her body. His face was calmer. Ishigami's wife gave the infusion with some medicine on the side of Kana's bed.

Aqua sat down by the side of her bed, staring at Cana who was still lying down. Aqua's guilt towards Kana was not as great as it used to be, but now she was really worried about Kana. His feelings for Cana that he was trying to cover up and eliminate, he could not do well. Every girl was injured, Aqua felt hurt. 

"Daijobu.." When Aqua's tears hit her cheek. "A-kun, why are you crying?"

Aqua lowered her head, making her face invisible to Kana. She held it, hoping her crying would stop. But, it's not easy. Cana's hand stroked Aqua's head gently, sounding the peculiar softness of Cana. The girl's hand pulled Aqua's chin, revealing Aqua's face that had been flushed red and wet with tears.

"Why are you crying anyway? It should be me crying!" exclaimed Kana while staring at Aqua from her position. He smiles. "If you cry like this, I can feel really sad."

Kana tried to sit down. Aqua averted her gaze, no matter how Kana looked at him now. He just wants to cry for himself.

"There's no need to cry. I can cry later too." Kana's face was red. "Am I so pathetic, that you cry on me like this?"

Aqua sat on the bed, pulling Kana into her arms. "I cry for myself. You're not pathetic! Not at all, so don't put it in your brain!"

Kana rounded her eyes. Can't believe what Aqua's doing to him right now.

"Where…"

As Kana rounded her eyes, her first name was finally called Aqua. Hopefully he didn't hear wrong, or Aqua said wrong.

"You're strong, you're great. Believe in yourself." Aqua tightened her embrace on Kana. Unable to say honestly, Aqua wanted to express her feelings, but she brushed it off, she was afraid of all possibilities. She felt unworthy of Kana.
