Mika knows that Anggita's life is not okay.
Almost two years in the same circle, Mika never saw the figure of Anggita like this. Repeatedly Mika tried to reprimand Anggita, but only the sharp and fragile gaze she got.
Seeing Anggita who did not also give a response, Mika decided to give up. For nearly four hours in class, he chose not to ask Anggita much more.
Maybe it takes time.
Anggita's silence, finally makes Mika have to ask Raya while they are in the cafeteria.
"Who told you something, didn't you, to lo?" mika asked, after they managed to get out of the crowd of students who were waiting in line for food at the soto sales booth.
Raya looked towards Mika, and immediately flashed with Mika's astonished gaze. He kept that look for a few seconds. There was a rumble in his chest that suddenly infiltrated. "She's not going to be involved with you again in a while."
Mika. Wh why? Did he make a mistake with Angita? Unfortunately, after trying to remember everything that happened between them since a few days ago, he did not find the fatal mistake that made Anggita decide to take a distance from him. "Why?"
There was no immediate answer from Raya. Mika knows, if that means no good. Highlight the eyes of Raya as if to say that it was better that she did not ask further. From the look of those eyes too, Mika could see a look of pity that was somehow aimed for whom. Himself or Anggita?
"Better, you don't go near him first." After saying that, Raya left Mika.
"Wait, Ray! What's wrong with me?" Mika yells. However, Raya did not turn her body back to give Mika an answer. The girl only raised one palm to the side of her head, hinting that she did not want to discuss the matter further.
Mika's palm clenched the conscious sign. His gaze could not be separated from the back of the Kingdom that was getting away. What else now? After Nagra's troubles, what other problems kept Anggita away from him?
Mika was still standing in her place. His head was trying to guess what had happened. Five seconds, there was no answer he could find. Ten seconds, still empty. In the fifteenth second, he finally let out an annoyed sigh and decided to return to class. As long as he thought about it, he still would not find the answer, other than asking Angita directly.
The statement of the Kingdom is correct. As soon as he set foot into the classroom, he saw Anggita who had moved seats with Raya. The girl even averted her eyes when their gazes accidentally collided.
"Gue got it wrong to you?" Mika ventured to ask, even though Anggita had put up a gesture pretending not to see it. More precisely, assume he does not exist.
There was no response from Anggita. The girl only glanced at Mika at a glance, then refocused on the physics book before her.
"Git, I don't like you like this. Is it hard to tell me where my fault is?"
Roughly, Anggita put the pencil in his hand on the table, until the end of the object was broken. He looked up, and stared intently at Mika.
Mika gasps. The look was the same as the look Anggita had given her a few months ago, after someone had put her picture on a wall magazine and accused her of being Nagra's killer.
"Lo can be quiet, can't he? I'm tired, Ka. I hate the same you. It ruined my life!"
"What do you mean, Git? What's wrong with me?" Mika blushed her voice. All the eyes of his classmates are now on them.
Anggita pulled one corner of her lips and laughed cynically. "If you're smart, you should know where you're wrong." Assume to flick one hand. "Udahlah, Ka. I don't want to discuss this further. Stop asking me. Stop talking to me. Stop approaching me. I'm sick of you!"
Mika took one step back. His back rubbed a puddle of tears that had not yet shed. His jaw tightened. Without saying anything else, he left Anggita.
Other than her messy family, there was one more thing that Kai did not like in this world; seeing Mika glumly. Since ten minutes ago—since they left the home page of Mika—the girl did not invite him to speak at all. Mika continued to look out the window, avoiding eye contact with him.
"You why? Any issues?" Kai who originally intended to wait for Mika until the girl opened her voice, finally could not stand the silence that occurred.
Mika just shook her head slowly. Still looking out the window.
"Ka, if you talk again, look at the interlocutor. It's not polite to waste your face." Kai touched Mika's chin, and made the girl turn towards him.
In between his driving activities, Kai noticed every inch of Mika's face. The girl's eyelids are puffy. Without even asking, Kai knew that it was the result of crying for several hours. Mika's face is tangled. The powder polish and thin lip tint could not hide the girl's slightly paled face at all.
Kai frowned. "Is there a problem with your family?"
Mika did not answer. He just took a deep breath, then lowered his head. His eyes pay attention to the thread that looks to form long lines in his jeans.
"It's not about my family. This is about Anggita," said Mika lirih. He still did not want to look at Kai's face. He knew, by now, that guy must have put on a confused face, and asked him to give further explanations indirectly. "She said she doesn't want to be around me anymore. I don't know why. His attitude today was so strange."
"At the monthly cycle of girls, Ka," chirped Kai, who immediately replied Mika with a shout of annoyance.
"No way, Kai. After all a girl if again the monthly cycle, she will not behave like that. I really don't know Anggita anymore. I don't know where my fault is. All of a sudden he said I ruined his life." Mika shook her head. Until now, he still wonders about the wrong location on Angita. If it was still about Nagra, Anggita should have known, if he was completely innocent. He is still trying to find the real killer.
Kai tapped his index finger on his chin. Seemed to be thinking, while watching the heavy traffic. "Maybe he's unstable. You are alone, right, who said that his family is not okay anymore. Let him calm down first. He just needs time. After that, you can find out why he said that."
"What do you think Anggita is talking about?" Mika looked at Kai. His eyes widened, looking enthusiastically waiting for a response from Kai.
"Why, huh?" Kai scratched his head. For a long time he did not interact with Anggita, directly. So, he had trouble guessing what was happening. "Because, he feels your life is better now than his?"
"That's all?" Mika raised one eyebrow in disbelief.
Kai turned his shoulders. "Maybe. Because, he feels that his life now is almost the same as yours."
Mika hissing. "No way. Assume we're not like that guy. It must be more complicated than envy."
Kai put his shoulders down, once again. Complicated. Just like her brain every time facing Mika who suddenly sulked for no reason.
"Girl mindsets are so complicated, yes," Kai said in his heart. His lips smiled thinly. Miris realized that she would never understand for sure the contents of a woman's head.
Amidst the silence that ensued after that solutionless chat, Mika's phone suddenly rang. A row of foreign numbers plastered on the phone screen.
Mika frowned for a moment, then threw a glance at Kai. After getting a nod of approval from the guy, he shifted the green phone icon upwards. The male voice from across, instantly made Mika sculpt.
"I know your plan. Stop the investigation on Nagra, right now. Or, I'll find you and your family."
