In fact, Sunday nights are not a good idea to spend time outdoors. Evidently, just five minutes out of Mika residential complex where she and Kai were immediately greeted by a long traffic jam. The number of vehicles makes the road no longer able to accommodate. In addition because tomorrow is a holiday, this congestion is also caused because it is the same as the return to work hours.
Mika hiss is upset. They probably wouldn't be stuck in traffic if Kai took her out on a motorcycle instead of borrowing Anggita's car.
"Why can you take Anggita's car?" Being too focused on the traffic jam in front of her, Mika forgot to ask Kai.
"Gue bribed the driver Anggita so I can pinch the car. Si Anggita is the same Raya now again in my house."
"So, why don't you take me away?"
"Is something wrong?" Kai raised one eyebrow.
"Neither, no." Mika grinned, making Kai snort.
"Back of the way, we go to my house," Kai breaks up, settling a small debate between them.
♥
"Kai, are you seriously taking me here?" Mika rounded her eyelids when she found out where Kai parked the car.
Kai threw a mischievous smile. "We're having fun tonight."
"You are right. Don't wanna! You think I'm a bad girl?" Mika folded her arms in front of her chest. Upset at knowing the streets Kai meant was to go to a nightclub. For a long time, he never set foot in that place. But, these?
Kai just chuckled with Mika's pouting face. "Casual, Ka. It's not what you think. I brought you here because I wanted to show you something."
The annoyed expression on Mika's face slowly disappeared. His originally tense facial muscles began to loosen. "What?"
"We're gonna find the guy you saw with Alana that day."
"But I don't know his face. How are we gonna find him?"
"Udah, just calm down." Kai removed his seatbelt, and got out of the car first. Actually, he was not sure he would find that guy in this place. Nor does he know if the guy in the video is the same person Mika saw that day. However, his feelings said that he indeed had to search in this place. Meet or not, the important thing is that he has tried.
Kai pulls Mika's wrist to enter the nightclub. "Not to worry. I'll take care of you."
Mika just nodded. He tries to ease the doubts in his heart, and lets Kai do his job. If it wasn't for Nagra, he wouldn't have set foot in a nightclub.
Having just set her first step in the club, Mika had already held her breath many times. The noise of the music playing and the fanfare of the visitors immediately greeted him, making his head instantly dizzy. The aroma of cigarettes and alcohol mixed with the aroma of the visitors did not let him breathe comfortably. The scent pierced his nose, completely making him nauseous. He bit his lower lip hard, refraining from vomiting in that place.
Kai still clasped Mika's hand with a possessive gesture. The guy even further tightened his hand grip as they burst out among the visitors.
Mika dropped her gaze on the people dancing on the dance floor. He did not understand, why could they so much enjoy dancing in that place with clothes that lack cloth, even though many eyes were on them?
"Look, Ka." Kai pressed his lips closer to Mika's ear as he said that. Then, he chuckles.
Mika hits Kai on the back. "You are the one who takes care of the eyes. There's a lot of pretty girls here, Kai."
"Not really. In my eyes, you're the most beautiful."
Suddenly, Mika's blood rippled. Something warmed up in his chest. Fortunately, the lighting in the room was dim, so he didn't have to worry Kai would see his reddened face.
Kai circulated his gaze to every corner of the place. Observe one by one the faces of the men who were there. However, no one has the same face as the guy in the video. Are they really different people? However, Kai was reluctant to give up. His heart said that they were the same person. I don't know where that belief came from.
"Lo's still strong, right?" Kai looked at Mika worriedly.
Mika nodded. Force yourself to look ordinary, even though his chest has begun to tight. The smell of alcohol and cigarette smoke in this place is concentrated, making it difficult to breathe.
"If you are not strong say so. I take you to the car. I'll find the guy myself."
"No, I'm fine. We'll find it again." Kai did not argue, though was unsure of Mika's answer.
Another bit. Sure meet. Many times Mika repeated the sentence to herself to revive the hope in her heart. They were in that room for almost half an hour. In fact, his lungs had almost lost oxygen.
Mika sizzled every time her petite body had to be willingly pushed and squeezed by the visitors. If not for Kai beside him, he would definitely not have dared to go this far amid the visitors who were not fully aware.
Kai stopped his steps beside the large sofa, in the corner of the room. There are a lot of people on that couch. Some men were playing cards, and women were entertainers beside the men.
Kai turned his body to face Mika, and whispered in the girl's ear. "He's there, exactly thirty degrees from my place."
"How do we get him to talk?" Mika was not sure if they would be able to bring the man to speak privately outside the room.
Kai smiled broadly, as if to say hand-to-gue. Then, he again took Mika closer to the man. After he arrived beside the man, Kai touched the manly shoulder of the man.
The man looked up, looking at Kai with a look of wonder and curiosity. "Do you need to be the same?"
Not only did the man drop a glance at Kai, but almost everyone who occupied the seat. Those people's views made Mika clamorous, so she had to shuffle around to hide behind Kai's back.
Kai nodded politely. "Can we talk for a second? Just a few minutes."
The man did not answer directly. His eyes scanned Kai from top to bottom, then back up again. Behind Kai's back, Mika waited anxiously. No matter what the man answers later, he hopes it will not cause new problems.
A few seconds later, the man nodded. Kai and Mika could not hide the relieved expression on her face. Mika could even feel Kai's originally stiff body, slowly slacking off.
"We talk outside" said the man. Then, walk first to the outside of the room.
Mika was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief as fresh air re-filled her lungs. The music and frenzy in the room no longer sounded deafening. It seems, Mika should immediately go to ENT if she is in that place any longer. The proof, right now, his ears immediately buzzed once he was outside the room.
“What do you need?” ask the man. His hand was looking for something in his pocket. Then, his gaze turned to Kai. “Lo have matches?”
Kai snorted. Then, take out the match from inside the pocket. Not wanting to make small talk, Kai immediately shot the man with a core question. “Do you know Alana?”
The man glanced at Kai at a glance, before his gaze focused on the tip of the cigarette that met the flame. Then, he said coldly after returning the match to Kai, "What are you asking about him for?"
"We're again trying to uncover the case of someone's death. And, it has something to do with Alana." Kai tried to explain.
"You mean, Alana killed him, right?"
"Bu-not that." Mika replied quickly, despite stammering. "We believe that Alana knew who was behind the death. So—"
"So, you're trying to extract information about Alana from me, are you?" The man's eyes narrowed, looking towards Mika. "Where do you know about me?"
"From the video that Alana sent."
The man raised his eyebrows in surprise at Kai's reply. Seeing this, Kai immediately pulled out his phone from his pocket and played a video he had copied from Nagra's flash drive. Then, he showed the video to the man in front of him.
"Alana sent this video to my friend."
"Oh, so you're Nagra's friend?" The man was a beard. Then, he invited Mika and Kai to sit on a long bench, not far from where they were standing earlier.
"Alana's my cousin."
"Huh?" Mika shouted in disbelief. "Don't you be the one I saw with Alana at the club at the time?"
"Gue is here almost every day. When did you see me with Alana?"
Mika mentions the hour, day, date, month, and year she met Alana with someone entering this club. The conjecture was finally greeted with a nod from the man.
"So, that day, am I wrong?" Mika says shrewdly. More on yourself. Just remember, that day Nagra immediately scolded him. Apparently, it was wrong. He accused Alana.
"So, you're not lovers?" Mika is still trying to be sure.
The man laughed amusedly. “Lo think, I want to date my own cousin?”
Kai ignored Alana's shock. He focused on something he needs to know today. “Then you know about Nagra?”
"Nagra?" The man asked himself. He looked up, trying to remember something. "Ah, yes. I recall. Alana once said that she likes a guy named Nagra. Why why?"
"Nagra's dead. His death remains a mystery. So, now we try to get information from you."
The man was not at all surprised to hear Kai's explanation. It seemed, the man already knew about Nagra's death. "What do you want to find out about me?"
"About Alana's pregnancy. Nagra is still the only accused of the incident. Is it true that Nagra was the cause?" Kai's hand moved inside his jacket pocket. Turn on the recording device he had prepared there.
"Alana is pregnant, but not Nagra. There's someone else irresponsible who's been nagging it to him."
