Apologies

Until a while later, Nayra's footsteps had stopped beside Rainer's gurney. Nayra was still biting her lower lip as she stared deeply into Rainer's netra. Nayra did not even dare to blink her net for fear that her tears would shed.

Both of them were still silent in deep gazes. Rainer looked at Nayra with a frown. Until a while later, Nayra ventured to make a sound. Only a shrill voice came out from Nayra's lips and could be caught by Rainer.

"Sorry."

Unable to hold back the tears, now Nayra's cry has broken. With as much as she could, she still cried without daring to approach Rainer.

Mama Rainer who saw that, immediately stood up and hugged Nayra. He also rubbed Nayra's back to calm his daughter-in-law who was still crying so much.

Rainer who was confused to see Nayra's behavior, immediately turned to look at the papa. From the look in his eyes, Rainer asked what happened to Nayra. Papa Rainer just flicked his lips while raising his shoulders in response.

"Stttt. Don't cry anymore, honey. Already, it's okay. Rainer is also awake. The condition is good too, huh." 

Mama Rainer is still trying to calm the son-in-law. Nayra could only nod her head behind her mother-in-law's shoulder.

After a while, mama Rainer let go of her embrace. He gives Nayra space to talk to Rainer. Both parents left on the pretext of breakfast.

After the death of Rainer's parents, Nayra was still unmoved in her place. He still did not dare to approach Rainer. In fact, Nayra still lowered her head because she felt ashamed of her husband.

"Why is it still there? Don't you want to come any closer?" This time Rainer spoke.

With her eyes still glazed over, Nayra stepped foot toward Rainer's gurney. His heart still felt stirred incoherently. Rainer's left hand stretched out and managed to grab Nayra's right hand.

"Aren't you gonna hug me?" rainer asked with a look that showed longing. 

Yes, it is undeniable if Rainer feels sorry for his wife. If allowed by the mother, since yesterday Rainer would have picked Nayra up at her parents' house. However, because Rainer's mother forbade him to pick up Nayra, Rainer was forced to abandon his intention to pick Nayra up. Finally, Rainer decided to drive around the city until the accident occurred.

Again Nayra cried as much as she could in Rainer's arms. Although using one hand, Rainer can still rub Nayra's back to calm his wife.

"Ma-sorry, Mom. Ii'm sorry. Because of my childish attitude everything became like this. I'm sorry, Mas. Hiks hyks hyks."

"Sttts. There is nothing to forgive. You're not wrong, you're not." Rainer still rubbed Nayra's back. He was about to kiss the head of Nayra but did not arrive. His head still hurts if used to bow too deep.

"If I don't go, you're definitely not going to experience all of this, Mom. You're gonna be fine. Hiks hyks hyks." Nayra was still crying as she pleased.

"Who said? We don't know what's going to happen, Nay. We as human beings can only follow what is destined for us. Grateful for whatever it was. Good or bad events, there will be wisdom behind it all." 

I don't know why Rainer was suddenly so wise. He said it was to appease his wife, or indeed had been really penitent. Othor doesn't know either. 🤧

Nayra could only nod her head which was now still hugging the chest of Rainer's field. He confirmed what Rainer said. If there were no events like this, perhaps Nayra was unaware of her feelings and would not dare to express what she felt.

Instantly Nayra released her embrace and kept her body away from Rainer's body. With her face still puffy with tears, Nayra looked at her husband's face which still had some wounds there. Nayra looked at her husband's face.

This is the face I've wanted to see since yesterday. These eyes are what I'd like to expect to be open since last night. This body that I wanted to embrace since yesterday, the inner Nayra.

While reaching out and touching Rainer's cheek, Nayra stared fixedly at her husband.

"I love you, Mas."
