Back to the Office

Unknowingly, Rainer let out a 'horror' sound that made Nayra instantly startled.

"Euuggghhh eehhmm."

Surprised by Rainer's voice, Nayra immediately let go of her hand. He even immediately stood up because not only Rainer alone would definitely be affected later. It could be Nayra too, ah already. Nayra even shuddered when she heard Rainer's voice.

Noticing Nayra's sudden action, Rainer immediately turned his head towards her.

"Why stop? Is it done?" asked Rainer with his innocent face.

Nayra could only pursed her lips while staring pusher at the superior.

"That's why Mr Rain was so upset? Don't like weird, sir. What is my woman?!" Nayra was still grumbling in annoyance.

Of course Rainer was immediately surprised to hear Nayra's words. 

"Cckkerk. What am I doing, Nay? It was just a reflex. Don't think weird."

Nayra was still blinking her lips and staring intently at Rainer.

"I'm done. Now, you can rest." Without saying goodbye, Nayra immediately walked out of Rainer's room after storing Rainer's topical medicine on the nightstand.

Rainer who saw the secretary's behavior could only sigh heavily. Inevitably, he should get some rest immediately.

While inside the room, Nayra was still grumbling annoyed by what had just happened. After that, he went straight to sleep.

Not felt, two days had passed. Monday is in sight. Today, Rainer decided to return to the office. The bruises on his face were also not very visible. And, the most important thing was that the wound on his shoulder had already healed. Rainer could move his hand as usual. Only, he was still unable to lift heavy weights.

This morning, Nayra cooked the fried rice to make it faster. He kind of got up late that morning because he had to clean up his stuff last night. Yes, Nayra will return to her rented house today after returning home from work.

"Today I'm going straight to Media Anta. I'll be at the office before lunch."

"Good, sir."

"Set up a meeting with team 2 after lunch. We should've started discussing cooperation with PH."

"Good, sir."

"One more thing, don't forget to call Mr. Jimmy's secretary. Plan for a further meeting."

"Good, sir."

Hearing Nayra's reply, Rainer turned his head and looked at the face of his secretary who was having breakfast next to him.

"From that, keep answering well? No other answer what?" Rainer snorted in annoyance.

Nayra turned her head towards Rainer while chewing her breakfast. He finished his chew for a while before replying to Rainer's words.

"If I answer other than 'well', does Mr Rain want to? Surely you will protest and nag endlessly."

That day, as the goals of Nayra and Rainer were different, they set out on their own. Nayra brought a suitcase containing her equipment to the office so that she could immediately go home without having to return to Rainer's place.

As soon as she arrived at the office, Nayra immediately rushed towards her room. However, his footsteps came to a halt when a voice called out his name as he exited the elevator.

"Day!"

Nayra knew for sure whose voice was calling her. Yeah, that's the voice of Linda, Nayra's co-worker. Inevitably, Nayra stopped her footsteps and turned around.

"Morning, Lin." Sapa Nayra while commenting on her smile.

"Morning." Linda directly observed the suitcase Nayra was carrying. "Where are you from or where are you going, Nay? Why bring all the suitcases?" ask Linda to be curious.

"Oh, here. I just had an event that required me to stay over. And, I went straight to the office earlier, hehehe." 

"The same way Mr Rain?" Linda was still curious with a probing look.

Not wanting to be Linda's moons, Nayra agrees with Linda's question.

"Yes." Yeah."

Linda nodded in understanding. Of course Linda wasn't too surprised by it. She had seen Nayra follow Rainer quite often for office events. In fact, Linda also participated several times because of the events they participated in.

After a short stale break, Nayra and Linda eventually split up. They immediately moved to their respective workplaces.

That day, Nayra did all her work well. He's been following Rainer's orders. For her own work, Nayra had also finished it since yesterday. Yes, despite the holidays, Nayra also had to work because she did not want to bother herself if she had to delay work.

As he had said this morning, by lunchtime, Rainer had already arrived at the office. He immediately asked Nayra to clear up the report that was still lacking. Rainer checked the report sent by Nayra this morning via email.

"Just do it later. Now, it's lunch time" Rainer said, returning the tab to Nayra.

Hearing Rainer's words, Nayra immediately smiled happily. Since the morning, he was eager to eat as little as Mr. Jon who often went across the office. His tongue seemed to dance when he imagined the food in his mouth.

"alright, Sir. Then, excuse me first" said Nayra as she left.

However, his footsteps came to a halt as Rainer's voice came back.

"Where are you? Order food. After that, accompany me to lunch."

"Lho?"
