Mom's Story 1

Mama Rainer was still staring at Nayra's worried face. Mama could clearly see the wrinkles between Nayra's eyebrows. And, mama Rainer felt very grateful that her son married a woman who seemed to care deeply about him.

"What do you mean, Nay? You didn't think Rainer would leave you this soon, did you?" Mama Rainer shook her head while commenting on a smile.

Nayra suddenly misbehaved when it turned out that her in-laws could guess what she was thinking. Nayra could only review her smile and scratch her temple in embarrassment.

"Ehm, i-it..," Nayra had not yet finished her words, mama Rainer immediately replied.

"Rainer's fine, Nay. Alhamdulillahot. Rainer had no complaints about his health. So, you don't worry about it."

Nayra breathed a sigh of relief. She could feel quite calm now after hearing her in-laws answer. Nayra hopes that Rainer's mother does not know about the accident Rainer had experienced some time ago. Nayra did not want her two in-laws to be worried. Fortunately, the accident did not cause significant injuries.

After that, mama Rainer changed her sitting position to face Nayra. That day, mama Rainer wanted to tell Nayra something. He hopes Nayra can take good care of Rainer after knowing what really happened.

"Nay, Mama wants to tell me something. And, Mama hopes, once you know this story, you can keep an eye on Rainer, and also take care of him. Mama doesn't want Rainer to go through something unpleasant again."

Nayra's forehead is wrinkled. He was still unable to digest the intent of the in-laws' words. However, Nayra could only nod to agree to the request. However, Nayra is already the daughter-in-law of the family now.

"Yes, Ma. I'll try my best to do that."

"Thank you, honey. Mama's sure you can take care of Rainer and keep him from turning to other women."

"Yes, Honey. Rainer's father is of Indonesian nationality. Papi, a native of Indonesia, but Mami is Australian. Papi and Mami are married and have only one child. When Rainer's father was eight years old, his mother died."

"When Rainer's father entered Junior High, Papi remarried a widow with a daughter. Her new mom is very nice and loves her dad Rainer. And, Rainer's father, who had no younger brother, loved his half-sister very much."

"From year to year, their family relationships run very harmoniously. There is almost no difference which is stepson, which is stepbrother. Everyone considers each other family."

"Until his stepbrother Rainer was still sitting in college, there was an accident experienced by his parents. And, the accident took the lives of their very dear parents. From then on, Rainer's father lived alone with his half-sister, Narita."
