My Love is Blocked by the Holy Promise

My Love is Blocked by the Holy Promise
Chapters. 8. Trying to Move on

(POV) Fira

It has been more than a month that I and Dewanta have separated, yet somehow the fog of separation still covers my heart. Day after day I went through with tears, at home, at the office and anywhere only Dewanta kept on filling my memory.

As the youngest of three children, I have always lived alone. Both of my sisters have married and live off the island managing the papa company that is there. Papa and Mama live more in Paris.

When I was alone and missed them, Dewanta always accompanied me, but now that he was gone like swallowed by the earth, I tried to contact him but his number was off. I tried to come to the office where he worked, but one of his friends said he had resigned. He really wanted to part with me. As great as what exactly the woman he was betrothed to, so it was so easy he obeyed the will of his parents and broke off the relationship that we had six years ago.

What lack of me from that woman. If I had met Dewanta's parents, I would have wondered what exactly made me unfit to be his son-in-law. He should have told me that. So that I have a chance to improve myself, do not even look for another woman to be betrothed to Dewanta and ignore me for granted.

Geck...

Geck...

"Come in, I heard my housekeeper named bi Officially knocking on my room door. It's lunchtime, he always reminds me of lunch.

"Non, the food will be taken to the room or at the dining table only," said the official bi.

"On the dining table alone bi, I will be there," I said as I tidied my messy hair. I stood up and stepped towards the mirror to observe my face that looked ashen.

"What cooking, the smell makes my stomach ask to be filled.

"Auntie cook favorite cuisine non, this is look, chicken rica-rica," replied bi Official. Seeing the official cuisine my appetite instantly increased. I am one of the people who eat, even though sad, stressed or a lot of thoughts will not affect my appetite. I'm lucky, as much as I eat doesn't make me fat. After eating, I went to the bathroom to clean my body. The plan is to finish the shower I will take a walk to the mall for refressing. I do not want to continue to dissolve in sadness, it feels futile my life if only filled with heartbreak, thinking of men who do not necessarily think of me.

I slowly drove my car across the highway to the biggest mall in town. Before going to the mall I should stop by the candidate first, I want treatment so that my body feels refreshed. I don't want to waste my life willingly accepting the pain that Dewanta inflicted on me.

"Hai Fira..lama nih nih nyalon, alone aja nih," Sinta salon owner and my best friend while in college welcomed me kindly.

"Fast fast, do not need to bring me care, long time no care, kangen said.

"It just so happens that all my employees are busy, what if I only serve you," said Sinta while preparing salon equipment. With pleasure, it is an honor for me to be served by the owner of this salon," I said.

If you may know how your relationship with your lover Dewanta, fine, right," Sinta's question just made me speechless and recalled the bitter story I experienced.

"Soalya yesterday was a gini, my friend from the village called Galih. He was again heartbroken, because the woman he loved was betrothed by his parents. Yesterday they had a wedding and you know what the groom's name is?" said Sinta, looking at my face.

"Where do I know, rich I know, I am a shaman who can look at it," I said, because he who told me, eh he also asked.

"It could be that he's my ex-Dewanta, '" I said.

"What, so you have broken up, Sinta immediately stopped her work and looked at me with a look of disbelief. I also replied with a nod.

"A month ago he broke off his relationship with me because he was betrothed to the woman of his parents' choice" I said bowed with tears that would fall back.

"Be patient, you may not have made a match yet.

As long as you are in a relationship if Allah does not want you to be a match, there will be no marriage between you. Maybe God is preparing someone better to be your companion" Sinta said as she stroked my back. I just nodded in response to Sinta's words.

About three hours I did the treatment at Sinta's salon. After I finished the salon, I went to the mall. I think today I'll do my best. Arriving at the mall I immediately parked the car in the parking area and then sauntered to a famous boutique in this mall. I started to choose a dress I liked.

"Fira, you're Fira right?" a handsome man greeted me.

"Yes my name is Fira, this brother who knows my name," I asked again.

"You've forgotten me Fira, I'm Dion your old high school friend" said the handsome man before me. For a moment I thought about who Dion was. A few seconds later I just remembered she was my ex-boyfriend Dion in High School, she was my first love.

Dion and I used to love each other. Friends said we were a good couple. Both of our parents have agreed to our relationship because they are business fatners. We agreed we wanted to justify our relationship after college.

After her marriage Dion followed her parents' desire to continue studying in America, as she was the only boy in her family. Until he is the one who will occupy the top leadership in his papa company.

Until one day I caught Dion and Santi falling asleep hugging in Dion's apartment. That time Dion repeatedly explained that it was not his wish at all. According to him Santilah who came to his apartment and served food. After eating food from Santi he felt sleepy and finally fell asleep.

I know Santi really likes Dion. Actually my little heart believed in Dion's words but my anger overcame logic. I immediately cut off my relationship with Dion and refused to meet him. From that moment I heard he was living abroad and never came home. I never thought I'd be reunited today, I saw him getting handsome and mature.

"Fira... Fira, why dumb," said Dion, patting my shoulder.

"Oh yeah sorry I just remembered. When did you return to Indonesia," I asked, still feeling nervous.

"About a few months ago, you were alone or with your husband, or boyfriend of goods, sorry if I was annoying," said Dion nervously.

"It's okay, I'm alone, the husband does not have, a new boyfriend breaks up, if you say you're married, your wife and child are not invited," I said just so.
