...*********...
Kansha froze in place. His draggy hair fluttered in the wind that Alan carried along with his steps. The man walked slowly and slowly until he stopped exactly one step in front of Kansha.
Alan just stared at him without a sound and without a word. His gaze was not as sharp as usual and there was meaning in the depth of his manic, making Kansha not know what to do. The woman's feet were like they were stuck on the ground. And his heart that seemed to stop in harmony with the time around him which was also like stopping.
“Kansha.” call Alan made Kansha look up right in the eye. He was getting nervous and could not guess what the man was trying to say.
Moreover, the atmosphere—aneh.
“You remember the first time we met?” ask Alan.
Kansha nodded slowly trying to regain her composure.
“At that time, you were lying with your whole body bleeding. I thought you were a corpse.” explained Kansha.
“When I thought I was dead. I was conscious and I heard but I couldn't open my eyes and I couldn't get up as hard as I could. But as soon as I heard someone scream, suddenly I was able to wake up.” Alan Timpal.
“I too. I thought I was already in heaven.” Imbuh Kansha's.
Come to think of it, their memories on the verge of death were indeed terrifying. Giving unwanted illusions occurs but is forced to realize reality. And Kansha was grateful, that it was just an illusion. In fact, he survived death and is still healthy until now.
“I also still remember about your words that will buy me a sack of jerseys after we survived because you broke my only shirt.” Said Alan again.
Kansha suddenly scratched her head, she just remembered about it. “Ah, about that.of course I will keep it..although actually I do not remember anymore.” Reply Kansha is ashamed.
“No need. But I want to replace it with another request.” Tukas Alan's.
Kansha looked at him in confusion.
“What?”
“Please change a sack of my shirt, with something I can feel for the rest of my life.”
Kansha is confused. Evidently from his forehead that is furrowing deeper.
“What is it?”
“Married me.” Barren Alan.
Kansha closed her mouth, shocked by Alan's unexpected remark. He even retreated a few steps back. Kansha did not expect Alan to say that at all.
“Married me and lived my old age with me.” Repeat Alan with a serious look.
Kansha is still in shock. She did expect this moment to happen when Alan expressed his feelings and asked her to get married. But as soon as this moment came, Kansha even nearly died a flea before reacting. It's too sudden.
“Alan, are you serious? Or are you kidding? Please Alan, if you're joking, this isn't funny at all. It's not even april mop.” Tukas Kansha panicked.
“Why do you think this is kidding? Isn't this something you've been waiting for?”
“I know, but I'm not sure if you're serious about what you say or not.”
“Heard you say something like this, made me doubt how you felt about me. "
"What do you mean?"
"I know you argued with Aisyah and stated that you love me, is that real? Or do you just want to heat up Aisyah? You even confirmed it to mom, is it also just a joke?”
Kansha shook her head violently, “Of course it wasn't. I mean it.” With pride, Kansha just doesn't want Alan to misunderstand anymore.
“Then, why do you think my feelings are just kidding me?”
Kansha was silent to Alan's attack. Anyone who was in his position, would doubt whether this was serious or just a joke. She didn't even know how Alan felt about her all this time. And this man, suddenly, asked her to get married. Is it Kansha's fault if she doubts Alan's sincerity?
“Then tell me, why do you want to marry me?” ask Kansha.
“You like me?” continued.
Kansha's two questions had an impact on Alan's inertia.
Looking at Alan who was speechless without answering anything, Kansha understood. He nodded brokenly.
“You don't like me, then how are you going to marry me? I don't want to live it with just one-sided love.” Tanda Kansha.
“Did you not see it all this time?” alan's hiss was sent gently to Kansha's eardrum.
“See what?”
“My Feelings.” Alan's stubbornness made Kansha stare at him again. “I like you-no, " Alan shook his head, "I love you.”
“You love me? Since when?” kansha asked not to believe it.
“Since.”Alan paused for a moment to make Kansha more frustrated, “Since I lost you right after we were declared cured.”
Kansha held her breath. It's been that long? what has Alan been doing all this time? The man loved himself even while still with Aisyah. Then what about his feelings for Aisyah?
“You love two women at once?” kansha was disappointed.
Alan shook his head, “Since the beginning I didn't realize how I felt about you. Just like you keep dictating that I'm just a friend. I did the same thing. There is another heart I must guard. What happens when I like two women at once? Since I was still in doubt, I ended up burying those foreign feelings on you.”
“Then did you realize it?” kansha asked, curious.
Alan pondered for a moment before saying, “When I saw you running towards the tree house.”
Alan is not lying. At a time when her mood was muddled due to her decision to cancel her marriage to Aisyah, that was when Kansha came. Staring at him breathlessly as he ran hard. Kansha Raut who at that time looked worried and anxious made Alan stunned. The foreign feeling came again. It was bubbling in his deepest heart and trying to rise to the surface.
“And the top, when I found your sketch sheet about the boy you were waiting for his arrival to the tree house.” Added Alan. The man stared at Kansha's goal.
“I'm the boy.” concluded Alan.
Kansha was shocked to death to hear it.
“The clothes that the boy was wearing were exactly the same as the clothes my father had given him back then. Black shirt with Al logo. And so I remembered that I used to wear it while doing camper with my school. That's when I met you.”
“But you said, you don't remember anything.” Tukas Kansha still can't believe it. When he said that Alan was a little like the boy in his memory, Alan just swooped it up casually.
“I'm sorry. I did forget about it because it was a long time ago.” Alan felt guilty.
“So...that's real you?” kansha asked with shock.
Alan nodded. “I remember back then you were wearing white bando.”
Kansha is retreating backwards. He looked at Alan in disbelief.
“So it really is you?”
Is that boy really Alan?
Alan did not answer again and instead reached into his pocket. He took a clean white bando. Kansha looked at the bando and realized that it was indeed her bando that had disappeared first.
Alan then suddenly put his bouquet of roses on the ground. He then approached Kansha. Kansha turned into a statue when Alan put the bando on his head. After tying it well, Alan then looked at Kansha.
“Kutarikan my words first. Kansha, you and I were doomed from the beginning.” Said Alan.
Kansha is growing. Original, if he has heart disease, maybe since then he's been dying. Reality for the sake of reality, which had been imagined by him was now realized. Moreover, it is not only Alan's confession of his feelings that makes him distrustful of his sense of hearing but the fact that Alan is the boy he has been waiting for and longing for.
Kansha finally realizes that she and Alan may indeed have a strong destiny bond.
“So, marry me, Kansha. And I promise, will not forget the memories of you like when I was a kid.” Alan looked at Kansha expectantly.
“What makes you hesitate?”
“I loved you so long, I almost went crazy because I didn't dare to reveal it. I even waited for you a dozen years and deliberately bought a tree house so I could meet you again. But I'm not sure, was there any sacrifice you ever made for me? Are you truly in love with me and not my illusion alone?”
“My feelings are natural to make you doubtful. I understand that Kansha. That's why, I brought you to the beach dock.” Answer Alan. “I take you to the place you love the most and hate the most. You washed a paper boat out at sea so your brother could read about how sorry you are to you. And me,”
Alan suddenly clasped Kansha's fingers, “I proved my feelings by bringing you here. Step straight up to the end of the pier and shout your name as loud as possible for the world to know. So that the wind that blows over the sea will carry my cry. In order for the people behind the ocean to know, there is someone who loves Kansha Andara.”
"And so that, your brother hears, how unfortunately I am to his sister." concluded Alan.
Alan pulled his hand and suddenly ran making Kansha come running. They ran to the end of the dock.
After reaching the end of the pier, Alan shouted out loudly.
“HEY! I'M ALANDRA KENANDRA LOVES KANSHA ANTARA!”
Kansha shed her tears suddenly. He's moved. Although Alan's actions are ridiculous and unreasonable, once Alan says the sentence that he loves her makes Kansha feel enough.
Alan suddenly stopped shouting, “This is not enough. Logically, there was nothing at sea. And it is very far from the mainland.” Alan suddenly realized. Kansha chuckled while crying seeing Alan's insanity.
“I have other solutions.” Said Alan.
“What solution?” kansha asked confused.
Alan suddenly pulled Kansha's hand again. They turned and ran away from the dock. They kept running and reached the shore. Kansha seemed to know where Alan was going until she held Alan's hand to stop.
"What's wrong?" ask Alan.
"Don't tell me you're gonna scream at Nana's reception." guess Kansha horror.
"Why? Isn't that good?"
"There are many people." said Kansha.
"That's great. That means a lot of people will be watching it." Alan replied calmly.
"Don't be crazy, Alan. I don't want to be a spectacle." exclaimed Kansha annoyed.
"Then just stay here." said Alan.
Alan took a breath and then exhaled, he got ready.
"Don't tell me you'll yell again" Kansha said anxiously.
"certain. Although I can't say it there, but my screams will still be heard."
"HE-"
Alan's shout stopped as Kansha withdrew her hand and took her away running back. Kansha took him to the dock earlier.
"Why did you bring me here? I'm not done yet."
"Don't be crazy Alan. It's so embarrassing." Kansha gasped for air.
"So how? I haven't proven it enough. And you still doubt me."
Kansha clucked, "Stupid base. I have no doubt about you."
"really?" alan asked.
Kansha's tone began to soften, "From the beginning, this is what I was hoping for. Then once this thing comes true, I want to just throw it away?"
Alan smiled despite still being curious about Kansha's answer, "So you accepted me?"
"Do I have any choice but to accept it? I'm getting tired of loving you secretly. I'm tired of walking behind you all the time with you never looking at me once. If I don't accept you, then all my efforts are in vain."
Alan smiled gently, he grasped both hands of Kansha, rubbing them slowly.
"I promise you'll never do that again. Because from now on, I will align my steps so that I can walk with you. And say I love you blatantly."
"So Kansha, my request is still the same. Will you marry me?" ask Alan carefully.
Kansha again sobbed and now sat down. She was crying so much. He even closed his face.
"Why new now? I liked you for a long time. I crave you in my pain. Loving you slowly kills myself. I'm tired but I want to keep doing it. I lost my patience but I gave my love as long as I could. I really love you until I'm almost crazy!" Kansha sobbed, taking out all her junk.
Alan sat down, hugging the sobbing Kansha. Kansha hits Alan on the shoulder in return.
"Basic jerk! Do you know what trials I have to go through to maintain my love? Did you know my world almost collapsed when you said you were going to propose to Aisyah and not tell me? You dickhead. I hate you!" yelling Kansha while crying.
Alan held her tightly until Kansha slowly grew tired and stopped banging Alan. The crying began to subside.
"I'm sorry. Ii'm sorry. I'm really sorry." said Alan.
Kansha closed her eyes as tears flowed down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry I didn't know about your suffering all along. I'm sorry that I never realized this long has hurt you a lot. Please believe me, that I will stop your suffering and replace it with happiness." Alan continued.
"Kansha, let me go after you." Alan suddenly kissed Kansha's fingers.
Kansha sobbing. It's real real real.
Alan took off his embrace. He stared at Kansha who was soaked by tears. God, how many tears have been shed from that woman's eyes because of her? Alan felt useless. So he promised, from now on, he should make Kansha happy. So that the tears that spill from the woman he loves, are not tears of sorrow anymore but tears of happiness.
"Marry me, Kansha, please." asked Alan for the umpteenth time. And she won't get tired of saying it until Kansha says yes.
Kansha was silent for a long time. He looked into Alan's eyes, looking for lies there. But nil, Kansha instead found sincerity and hope from her manic.
Until Kansha decided to nod. He's got Alan's proposal.
Alan smiled, "You accept it?"
"I accept it." Kansha replied.
Alan curled his smile even more, "Thank you." whispered Alan happily.
Kansha smiled happily, "Sama-sama" she whispered back.
Then suddenly Alan leaned his face on Kansha. Kansha closed her eyes as Alan approached her. And Alan's lips landed on Kansha's lips. Kissing her gently and reciprocated was just as gentle by Kansha.
This time, Alan really broke his limits on Kansha. Even so, he had no regrets. And Kansha is also in the midst of happiness, because her love story will lead to a happy ending.
***
A girl was lying peacefully on a white bed. Equally white curtains fluttered in the wind blowing from the balcony that was accidentally opened. The sound of seabirds rubbing against each other. And the girl's eyelids slowly opened.
Kansha opened her eyes perfectly. A glimpse of Alan's proposal resonated in his mind. He circulates around. He was in his room, not at the beach. Kansha sighed softly, so it was a dream?
Kansha closed her eyes again, if it was a dream, Kansha wanted to return to her dream world. He wanted to feel it longer before he was ready to face reality.
But, no matter how hard you try, Kansha is no longer asleep. The dream has also disappeared.
Kansha got up from her bed and sat on the side of the bed. She looked at me and almost cried because it wasn't real. Alan didn't propose to her at all.
Once again, Kansha is struck down by a cruel reality.
Then Kansha's eyes turned to the nightstand. His eyes widened when he saw a bunch of roses in a vase filled with water. Kansha touched it, it's a real flower.
Could it...

Kansha turned to the door when someone opened it from the outside.
