Ms. Caramel is acutely dehydrated due to constant vomiting, sorry we said this but Ms. Caramel is amazing because she can survive such a situation for a long time.
Just a moment ago the doctor gave Rafka an explanation about Caramel's condition. Doctors are still treating Caramel in there. Rafka was unable to look inside, he could only duck in the waiting chair waiting for the good news from the doctor.
"Rafka, Caramel why?"
Rafka's daydreams broke when she heard Caramel's mother's voice from the end of the corridor, she immediately moved and approached her mother-in-law.
"I'm sorry, Ma." Rafka hugged Mama Caramel and cried bitterly, she had never cried so much before even when her parents decided to divorce first, Rafka did not cry so hard.
"Why are you sorry?" Mama Caramel patted Rafka on the back to calm her down even though she did not know how Caramel was inside, she only knew that Rafka had taken care of Caramel well.
"Caramel hasn't kissed yet?" The heavy voice of Papa Caramel made Rafka spontaneously take off her embrace, she answered him with a faint slit.
"The doctor said Caramel was severely dehydrated." Bright Rafka with a voice not too clear.
"Now we pray that Caramel will be fine." Mama Caramel pulled Rafka's hand back to sit in the waiting chair.
"Pa, I'm sorry." Now Rafka apologizes to his father-in-law for feeling that he has failed to take care of their only child. Rafka still remembered the words of father Caramel after the marriage contract, he had promised to keep Caramel sincerely.
"That's it." Papa Caramel smiled faintly, he could not hide his worries to Caramel—their only child. Especially when Caramel is pregnant, there are two lives to be saved.
"You know, Caramel was a strong boy, when he was a child he had fallen from the top of the stairs, we all immediately panicked afraid of him why-why, when we samperin he even laughed, he said he was rolling on the stairs." Mama Caramel laughs at the end of the story trying to remember their daughter's childhood while encouraging Rafka.
"She was brave even when school often fought with her upperclassman." Mama Caramel continues her story because Rafka seems interested in it.
"But the more he grew up, he began to show his love of watching horror films, as a result it made him afraid of the dark and did not want to bathe alone in a foreign place."
Rafka laughed on the sidelines of her crying, wiping her cheeks wet with tears. Why this, he should have comforted Caramel's parents not the other way around.
"I first met Caramel when we were in school, when I went around school to watch my underclassmen, I saw a girl crying under a tree and yelling that she didn't want to be eaten by a ghost because it was soon her birthday." Rafka's smile broadened to imagine the first time she met Caramel.
"I gave her a candle for lighting and I could see Caramel's beautiful face even though she was crying, from then on I couldn't stop thinking about her."
"Oh yeah?" Mama Caramel was surprised to hear Rafka's story, "so you guys met before this matchmaking plan?"
"Yes Ma, but Caramel doesn't remember it."
"You haven't told him?"
"Not long ago I told him the moment of our first meeting."
"What a miracle God, Caramel is lucky to have you."
"No ma, I'm the lucky one to have had Caramel."
Mama Caramel smiled happily because she did not choose a mate for Caramel, she was happy because Rafka looked very loving to her daughter.
"Sorry, is there a family on behalf of Mother Caramel?" A doctor came out of the ER.
"I'm a doctor, how's my wife doing?" Rafka hurriedly approached the veiled doctor.
"He made it through the critical period and was already conscious, we'll move him to the ward immediately."
"Thank you doctor." Rafka rubbed her face which from earlier felt hot.
Meanwhile inside the ER room Caramel just opened his eyes with a place that was foreign to him. The smell of the medicine directly attacked Caramel's sense of smell making him instantly able to guess that this was a hospital. Several nurses seemed to surround him and do something that Caramel did not know. Caramel's head still felt dizzy so he had to close his eyes again.
Where's Rafka?
So Caramel questions in her mind when she first opens her eyes. Caramel thought she wouldn't see the world again after she fainted.
Caramel's esophagus feels dry as if he had sunbaked in the hot sun and then ran around the field 10 times. Caramel's not more tired than that.
"The caramel!"
That's Rafka's voice, oh my God ... I've never been this happy with Rafka's voice.
Caramel's eyes opened again hearing Rafka's voice calling out to her. Caramel smiled faintly seeing Rafka welcoming her in front of the door.
"Thank God you're sober, baby." Rafka clasped Caramel's hand, which was not fitted with an infusion needle. He kissed the back of Caramel's hand many times.
They pushed Caramel's outpatient bed to be moved to the outpatient room on the third floor.
Caramel's parents waited for the next elevator turn because the elevator room was not enough to accommodate more than three people plus the outpatient bed.
Caramel's gaze continued to be on Rafka who faithfully clasped her hands even after they got out of the elevator. Seeing Rafka still wearing blue batik made Caramel remember their first meeting before the wedding day at Pigeonhole Coffee. It was the same batik as the current Rafka outfit.
The first meeting that did not really give a good impression for Caramel. Time passed so quickly, Caramel could not remember how he began to fall so deeply to Rafka. Caramel is just really grateful to have married such an amazing man as Rafka.
"Bu Caramel has to rest a lot, his blood pressure and blood sugar are so low that we give him an infusion of dextrose to raise it." A nurse checked the Caramel infusion.
"Is that enough to make my wife's condition return to how it was?" Rafka asked the nurse.
Caramel saw an infusion attached to the back of her right hand, this lifetime was the first time she had to be infused and hospitalized. How's it feel? getting sick? not really, Caramel did not feel anything because he was in a fainting state when the doctor placed the infusion on him.
"Yes later we will check on Ms. Caramel's condition periodically." The nurse dressed in green white nodded and smiled misbehaviorally when she saw Rafka's face more clearly. His mouth was open to say something but it didn't.
"Are there any more sus?" Rafka asked again because the nurse looked like she was about to say something.
"Sorry, the patient's husband?"
Yes, the husband of the neighbor! Omel Caramel in his heart, unfortunately he did not have the energy to cuss directly at the nurse.
"Yes." Yeah." Rafka nodded with a puzzled face, why still ask.
"Oh, Mr Rafka is a handsome BMKG guy who is going viral on tik tok huh?"
Caramel tugged at Rafka's hand to avoid responding to the nurse's remarks. Caramel couldn't bear to kick the nurse into the room—and she wasn't sick.
"Why baby?" Rafka saw Caramel. "Sorry, I don't understand what you're saying, is it over?" Rafka codes the nurse to come out if the examination is complete.
"Oh sir, excuse me, if you need anything use the nurse call next to the bed." He bowed politely and left the room with another nurse.
"How are you doing?" Rafka rubbed Caramel's hair a little messy, he was relieved amazingly when the doctor said Caramel was awake earlier. "What do you want to eat, you haven't eaten since this morning."
"See, I'll get you a drink."
The door of the room opened with Rafka rising from her seat to fetch some drinking water for Caramel. Caramel's parents came with Rafka and Febi's mother.
"How's Caramel doing?" Asked Mama Rafka, he panicked because he suddenly got the news that Caramel had to be hospitalized.
Caramel was moved by the sight of her mother and papa, a worry so noticeable on their faces.
"Caramel still has a lot of rest." Rafka answered their question.
"Pengen moved to sleep, Ma." Caramel tried to laugh so as not to make them worry.
"That's you!" Mama Caramel hit her son's arm slowly because she could still joke at a time like this.
"Yes Mama, her son is sick instead of being loved is still beaten." Caramel rubbed his arm that his mother had just hit.
"Drink baby." Rafka helps Caramel straighten her body to drink water.
"I brought fruit juice to Cara Kak." Febi took out a glass of juice from inside the paper bag she was carrying.
"Thank you, yeah." Rafka took the juice and gave it to Caramel.
Caramel drank the fruit juice from Febi until it was half left, compared to the sour-flavored water from the fruit made him not want to stop drinking.
"I brought a lot, I entered the refrigerator, so if you want to drink just take." Febi stepped closer to the mini-fridge near the entrance to move all the juice she was carrying in there.
"Rafka." Call Caramel, hands outstretched to put the remaining juice slightly on the nightstand then with a swift Rafka helped Caramel put it.
Mama and Papa Caramel smile at Rafka's treatment of their child. Rafka seemed to love Caramel so sincerely. Mama Caramel did not expect that Rafka had known Caramel since High School. They do not seek each other but are met by fate
"You pee." Caramel whispers in Rafka's ears.
"Come on." Rafka slid her hand under Caramel's body.
"Why what?" Caramel was confused because Rafka was just about to carry him, "i can walk." The drill.
"Caramel wants to pee first, Ma." Rafka told Mama Caramel who saw him full of questions, where to take?
"Oh." Mama Caramel's confused expression turned into a smile.
"You can't be ashamed to know!" Lirih Caramel's.
"Caramel, let Rafka carry you." Mama Rafka said so that Caramel should not be ashamed of his condition is like this.
Caramel shrieked softly as Rafka lifted her body towards the toilet, her face flushed with embarrassment.
"Slow down ya." Carefully Rafka sat Caramel on top of the WC, hanging an infusion of Caramel on a prepared pole.
"Ouch!" Caramel held onto her stomach which felt full of pee, "it was a great relief, from this morning I did not pee."
"Caramel, don't be like that anymore." Rafka crouched down in front of Caramel, holding the wife's hand that was no longer pale white.
"You're crying?" Caramel rubs Rafka's cheek. "I'm fine."
"You don't know how scared I was when you saw you didn't respond to me, I'm afraid." Rafka looked at Caramel fixedly, her lips trembling withstanding the cries.
"I promise I'll eat a lot after this." Caramel smiled broadly revealing a neat row of teeth, he did not want to make Rafka worry anymore.
"The pee?"
"Udah." Caramel forgot that he had not cleaned his urine and was wearing pants.
"Help me up." Pinta Caramel after she finished putting her pants back on. "By the way I haven't told you the good news."
"What's that?"
"I got over five hundred orders in less than a day, great right?" Caramel's eyes sparkled as she told that, she placed both her hands on Rafka's shoulders.
"You've worked hard, baby, you deserve it"
"Thank you for being patient with my selfish nature." Caramel tiptoed then without cue he kissed Rafka— lips soft but deep.
At first Rafka was surprised because the kiss happened suddenly even he had not prepared himself. He held Caramel's nape holding the woman longer, spilling his worry that had been urinating on her mind.
"How come you're okay, how long?" The sound of knocking on the door forced Caramel and Rafka's link to come off.
"Sorry, I—"
"I'm Bab Ma!" Caramel half-screamed, as if regaining his energy after kissing Rafka.
"You may be BAB ngajak Rafka, watch out for fainting lo him."
"No, Ma." Sahut Rafka's.
"Yes, my mom's got a blower."
"Yes." Yeah." Answer Caramel. A second later, he again landed a kiss on Rafka's lips.
They close their eyes and pour love through a sweet, friendly kiss. Silent. Only the sound of blowers from the ceiling of the toilet and also the heartbeat of those who hunt each other.
Their faces were blushing and hot even after the kiss was over.
"Why are we doing this in the toilet?" Rafka returns to the real world after being floated by Caramel, his wits begin to work.
"It's okay, funny." Caramel smiled faintly.
"Let's get out before Mama calls us again." Rafka rubbed Caramel's lips trying to erase the trace.
"Before Mama calls or before—" Caramel looks towards the bottom of Rafka's body.
"Don't look at that." Rafka grabbed Caramel's infusion before she opened the door and exited the 3×4-meter toilet.
