My Crazy Lady's

My Crazy Lady's
Chapter 141 (MCL)

Margaretha stepped forward and hugged Alex with a quick hug and motherhood. "I'm so glad we're talking about this" Margaretha smiled. "Can I go back to the restaurant? my guests must be wondering where I'm going."

Now that the matter was resolved, the calm and friendly attitude that people often admired from Margaretha returned. Watch the woman go back to her son and ex.

Stephen also arrived at the Grand Oak. Margaretha was afraid that Alex would suspect Stephen's arrival, because the man knew that her sister would not like to attend the party their mother held.

Margaretha again felt anxious, fearing that Alex might be suspicious of Stephen's unusual presence. Margaretha guessed the arrival of her adopted son to see for themselves the success of their plan and clever Stephen, he invited four friends to cover up the intention.

He also came to do whatever he could to make Alex and Hanna make up. "I'd better go" said Margaretha, reaching for the doorknob and looking back, too late to realize that her son and daughter-in-law were smiling broadly at her, but neither of them took a step forward."How about we go now? you come with me" said Margaretha.

"I think you should wait until I tell you why I want to talk to you," Alex suggested lightly.

Margaretha turned around, suddenly feeling tense. "It's only natural that I thought you wanted to scold me for not playing an active role in getting Hanna back to you" Margaretha said, instantly removing her early role as an innocent.

"Maybe I should do it," Alex replied with a chuckle. "But I think it's more important to tell you that you're going to be a grandmother."

A bright smile shone on Margaretha's face as she stretched out her arms and grabbed Hanna's hand with her left hand and right hand for Alex. "Oh, my dear," Margaretha said later, as if unable to find any other words to express her happiness.

***

Alex feels a greater fear than when Hanna tripped over the edge of the carpet and fell on the stairs the night before.

He was pacing back and forth at the door of the Grand Oak, his attention fixed on the doorway at the top of the stairs. Behind the door, his wife was giving birth to their baby one week earlier than prescribed by the doctor, and the mother and son were in the hands of Hugh Parker, the great doctor in London.

Over the past 24 hours, Alex's opinion of Hugh has gotten worse as time has passed. When Hugh arrived last night, the doctor examined Hanna's condition and calmed the family by saying the mother and son seemed to be in good shape.

This morning, Hugh gave even greater consolation than before. "There was no sign the baby would be born early because of the accident" the doctor told Alex and the others, "But I'll stay here until nightfall, just in case I'm wrong."

At that time Alex was already agitated to the stage of wanting to give orders followed by threats. "If you think there's even the slightest chance the baby will be born early, you'll stay here for two months!" alex's orders.

Shaking his head, Hugh looked at Alex with amusement and sympathy as he felt for the men who were going to be fathers for the first time. "Just want to know, what are you gonna do to keep me here?"

"I won't have any trouble finding a way, trust me" Alex said.

"I don't doubt it" Hugh said, chuckling. "I was just curious, when your mother had a little fever a month before you were born, I remember your father threatening to imprison me in the basement of Claymore.

Hugh's amused feeling dissipated in an instant as Hanna's maid rushed out of the room and leaned over from the edge of the stairs. "Mrs are in pain, Doctor."

At first, Alex was greatly relieved, until intense pain hit Hanna, making the woman arch her back in bed. "You have to go now" said Hanna, biting her lips until she bled.

Alex vents anger from feeling powerless to Hugh. "Damn it, can't you do something for her?"

"I'll do something for him" Hugh said. "I'm going to throw you down now so he doesn't have to worry about you when the pain comes."

An hour later, Alex insists on making sure Hanna is okay, and when the doctor tries to intercept Alex at the door, Hanna exclaims Alex is let in.

Hanna looked paler and the woman's forehead was moist with sweat. Alex sat down near Hanna's hips, swept her thick hair, swept Hanna's thick hair from her forehead, and promised solemnly, "I'll never let this happen to you again."

Another attack of pain lashed out before Hanna could answer and Alex hugged the woman, cradling like a baby. "I'm sorry" whispered Alex raucously, her eyes blurry with tears of fear. Afterwards, Alex is evicted and Hanna's bedroom door is locked to prevent her husband from storming in.

Hugh appeared periodically afterwards to give a small report comforting the family, and erroneous predictions about the timing of the baby's birth.

Alex was not sure of anything the doctor said. He turned his gaze from the door at the top of the stairs, glanced at the clock in the hall, saw it was already nine o'clock in the evening, then walk to the doorway of the sitting room where Stephen and his mother stand guard with Stuart, Ema and Catherine. "Hugh is an incompetent fool!" alex shouted to those who were angry.

"I'll have people call a midwife, not two even if it takes five," Alex added.

Ema smiled weakly. "I'm sure the baby will be born soon and everything is fine" Ema said slowly. None of the lines of people who were there dared to say anything to Alex so that the man could calm down a little.

"You're right, the baby is about to be born. There's nothing to be afraid of. Mother and son will be fine. There's nothing to worry about. Every day there's a baby born, so it's going to be okay" Stuart said, more panicked than his wife. His beloved daughter was struggling inside. As a father, Stuart could only pray for Hanna and also their future grandchildren would be fine.

Stephen looked up, staring at the helplessly silent Alex. As a sister, she was deeply saddened by what Alex was currently feeling. Sanga Dowager herself was no less panicked, stood up and walked over to Alex. "I really feel like there's nothing to worry about" he said in a trembling voice. "In my heart, I feel like Hanna and the baby are going to be okay, so don't be like someone who wants to die, you're scaring me" the dowager duchess said.

Alex could not say what to comfort his mother, her face was now pale and decided to grab a bottle of brandy at the side table. The last time her mother gave such an estimate was when her mother's favorite mare fell ill. The horse died the next morning.

Alex knew everyone was praying because they could do nothing else. His wait and anxiety evaporated as Hugh walked out of the room.

"Your Grace,"

Everyone in the room looked up at Hugh standing in the doorway, suddenly looking tired.

"Yes?" alex's voice was weak, frozen helpless.

"Do you want to say hello to your son?"
