CPTR VIII: His Companion
Mona pulled her hand high into the air and began to stretch her achy body. Mona looked around, it was dark and her office was quiet. Mona glanced at the watch which now showed the time had been 9 p.m.
Mona decides to go home and continue her work tomorrow. The quiet office atmosphere is only accompanied by dim lights as a makeshift lighting. Mona walked right up to the basement and immediately walked to her car.
As Mona drives her car out onto the highway, Mona is shocked by the traffic jam right outside her office. Mona frowned and prepared for the exhausting journey home.
Half an hour later he arrived at the apartment and hurried to his room. Mona walks with shaky steps as she is tired all day working. Right in front of her bedroom door Mona pulled out her access card but she heard something from inside her room.
There was a song playing from a loudspeaker in his room. Mona remembers well when she did not turn on her loudspeaker at all today. Mona turned around and moved away a little from her room and made a call.
“Halo, Gam, lo again in my room now?”
“Hah? Not really.”
“Well who's in my room now?”
“Lo sure door lock pass go, ‘kan?”
“Iya, how is this dong?”
“Bentar, I sent people there. Wait aja.”
Gama closes their call and Mona waits. Ten minutes later, 4 men with all-black looks and all-female faces arrived in front of Mona saying they were Gama's boss' man.
Mona was just amazed by Gama's people and led them to her room. Mona opens the door with her access card and two men enter first while the other two guard from behind.
Mona's entire room lights were on, the loudspeakers were playing music, and there was a spice smell coming from her kitchen. Suddenly the bathroom door opened and the bodyguards prepared to ambush but what appeared was a woman in a red bath kimono, a face mask, and hair still wrapped in towels.
“ASTAGA! What the fuck?!” the woman screamed in shock.
Mona peeked over the broad shoulder of one of the bodyguards and immediately recognized the woman as Sherly Atmadja, her cousin. Seeing Mona peeking at Sherly looking at her in a daze.
Mona hurriedly pulled the arm of the bodyguard in front of her then said, “Hehe, Om, sorry yes, it was my cousin.”
The bodyguards finally walked out of Mona's room and said, “If tomorrow-tomorrow again need us, just report to, Boss. Good night.”
Mona gave a clumsy nod and stared at their departure and then went back into her room. There Sherly was already standing around, Mona smiled and immediately ran towards her and hugged her tightly.
An upset Sherly forgets her emotions and hugs Mona back.
“Why not know first?” ask Mona.
“Kan intention is such a surprise. Who was that?”
“Ah, the... security under.”.
“Nyeremin really looks. Yaudah, you must be tired, ‘kan? Eat first yuk!”
Sherly pulls Mona's hand to the dining table and sits her down. Meanwhile Sherly goes to the kitchen and returns with a perfect cow's eye egg sprinkled with spices from the east. The two of them instantly devoured their dinner solemnly.
At the same time, Mona who eats with her right hand still wrapped in plaster invites questions in Sherly's mind. “Handlo why?”
Sherly's sharp eyes looked at Mona's injured hand. Sherly takes off her fork and quickly pulls Mona's hand to examine it closely. Mona smiled cheerfully and slowly pulled back her hand, “Don't worry. Just a glass scratches kok kemaren.”
“Kegores? Tattered huh? The injury must be severe, right? Why the hell are you careless gini?!" Sherly frowned and looked at him sadly, then she checked Mona's hand again with details. When she saw Mona's slightly pursed lips, she slowly let go and undo her intention to grumble for longer.
Sherly Atmadjaja grew up with Mona at her house. Sherly's parents died at a very young age in an accident. But little Sherly refuses to live with her two grown older brothers and chooses to live with the Mona family. Because of her age, Sherly quickly became familiar with her.
The two went to school together then after graduation went to the same university and the same majors as well. It also made him know Gamaliel. After graduating two years ago, Sherly decided to take a break and travel the world. He has gone to different parts of the world, met new people and cultures, and learned new things in life
“Gue thought I would never see you again.” said Mona who smiled and put the egg yolk into her mouth.
“Well, I want to stay in eastern Indonesia. But the cost of living there is so expensive. I'm just here to collect money and keep coming back there.”
“Hmm, that's it. Then I will talk to Papa deh lo again need work.”
“Haha, Thanks, Mon. Btw, have you checked the SMA group? He said he wanted to make reunion.”
“Seriously? When?”
“Tomorrow. Go yuk.”
Mona was silent for a moment. Mona wants to leave. She loved her High School days and was amazingly kangen, but she didn't want to meet a man she once knew.
Realizing Mona's figure was thinking hard, Sherly immediately asked casually, “Lo males came because there is Ethan, ‘kan?”
Mona nodded small.
“Udah, don't think about. Last time he signed me he said he was still taking care of his S2 in Berlin.”

“Udah relax, it is not possible that he suddenly appeared that way. Germany-Indonesia is different continent kali.” Sherly finished her meal and wiped her mouth with a tissue.
While Sherly goes to the kitchen to wash the dishes Mona keeps ringing with the man named Ethan. Ethan is a human being who once became very close to Mona. The two are not dating but know that they like each other. The two were familiar without exception but because of the events after the graduation party that night then everything changed.
Mona hates Ethan and Ethan can't stop feeling guilty about that night. Mona has always avoided Ethan at all costs. His heart ached at every moment remembering that moment.
“Mon, just dong.” said Sherly from the kitchen.
“Why, Sher?”
“Kok in the closet lo many men's clothes?”
Mona's eyes immediately widened. He remembered that the clothes belonged to Gama. Mona was immediately immediately quibbled, “Pu-Punya I Sher!”
“Masa anyway? The size of a man is just the size of a man, there are still suits too. How to wear a guy's suit?”
Mona could feel cold sweat sliding down her temple. When finally Sherly finished washing dishes and went to pick up drinks in the refrigerator Shery asked again, “Have a girlfriend lo, yes?”
