“Why are you here?”
Mona asked while wiping her watery eyes. She looked at him, and after a long silence mona lowered her gaze. He turned around, not wanting to let people see the disappointment and weakness in his eyes that he could not disguise and hide his feelings.
Unfortunately Mona's hoarse voice and pale face have given the fact that she has been subjected to some sort of debilitating inner torment. Devin did not answer. His silent gaze focused on Mona's still bandaged hand.
After a while, he said in a worried voice, “You're okay?”
Mona turned around and looked at him, her lips slightly opened about to say something. He wanted to say something, but after a while, he still did not say a word.
Moments later, Mona took a deep breath and looked up. She inserted a bitter smile on her sweet face and tried to say casually, “I feel uncomfortable letting you see me in such a mess like this.”
Devin looked at him sharply. His eyes glittered by the glare of the passing vehicle lights as if adding a strange attraction. But one thing is certain, somehow seeing Mona like this suddenly made her think of her past when she decided to leave Indonesia.
Devin hurriedly dispelled his dark memories and asked casually, “You've been here often too?”
“Ah, that, I think this is the first time.”
Devin smiled faintly. Devin casually looked at the streets around and said, “This is a quite strategic business area.”
Mona gave a small laugh hearing the sudden diversion of the topic.

nodding at the man and saying to Mona, “See you later, Mona.

Devin catches Mona's hand and gives her a black handkerchief. Devin turned around and went back inside the restaurant. Mona kept looking at the man until he was completely lost inside. Mona was smiling. She felt her heart slightly touched by the sensitivity of the man.
Mona immediately dialed Sherly's number and said, “Sher, let's go home.”

The three are little friends and now they hold their respective companies inherited by their grandparents and parents. Devin sat back on his couch while two of his business associates sat on the other long sofa.
Aaron took out his headache medicine and swallowed it without water, he said, “All this work makes my headaches worse. No wonder so many business people have committed suicide.”
Devin and Nicholas laughed at her.
“Dev, you know how hard it is to remove your stepbrother from your current position? Crazy, the people are really stone if arguablyin but if already business problems must be very suspicious. Fortunately, there is a Mafia family that helps. What's his surname, Nic?”
Nicholas gulps his beer. “Colandam. They work great.”

Devin nodded. He remembered that his reason for leaving Indonesia was his stepfather. His father had one wife and mistress, Devin the son who was born to his father's mistress but was allowed to live in the main house.
Devin does not really know his mother, who he knows was just a young girl when she gave birth to him and now lives on an island in Indonesia away from the crowds. Devin grew up in the main house with his father, stepmother, and brother.
Devin and his stepbrother hate each other but never really show it. When his brother was appointed as the successor, Aaron and Nicholas who from the beginning also did not like Devin's brother decided to work together to overthrow him.
Now her brother runs away due to his scandal and Devin's elderly father is forced to entrust the company to his illegitimate son. Devin understands his status in the Dubois family. Therefore he needs some kind of self-evidence to be accepted.

Devin's reply made Aaron and Nicholas stare confusedly at him. Devin just poured water into his glass and gulped it down.

Devin nodded.
Aaron's getting slacker. Confused Nicholas asked, “Which one is?”

Nicholas just chuckles when he hears Aaron about his wife. Nicholas sipped more beers then said, “I don't think I'm the stiff type of guy to meet girls.”
Now it was Nicholas and Devin's turn to laugh.
Nicholas leaned his back on the sofa and asked, “Dev, how are you? Yesterday I was there like it was really bad, huh. He is old anyway..”.
“Gue hasn't looked.”
“Wah durhaka emang. You're not afraid if he takes lo's inheritance rights?”
“He doesn't want me to cool him.”
Hearing this Aaron heaved a heavy sigh. He remembered very well Devin's unfortunate situation in the Dubois family. Even to meet his own father he needs permission from another family.
Nicholas stared intently at Devin, “So how? You want us ‘ngurusin’ other main family lo?”
Devin was silent for a moment thinking. “It's efficient. But mending don't first. My sister's case is still hot, if it's the same aunt I also hit people on would be suspicious.”
